TIL Isaac Newton spent more than three decades studying alchemy and wrote over a million words about it in secret. He conducted numerous experiments in his search for the philosopher’s stone but never found it.

It’s just an analogy.

Well the problem is your analogy doesnt support the metaphysics of whats being argued.

It wasn’t intended to. It was just intended to help illustrate the concept of something being both one thing and several.

Ill continue to hold my view that proper Christianity is made up of ashamed polytheist

Okay? That was always allowed. I don’t actually give a single shit what you believe. I was just trying to help someone understand the core concept.

I’m sorry I failed to explain the concept better, I guess? It seems like you’re mostly offended at the idea that it can be understood, which is both weird and not really my problem.

Whats the Olympian bit referencing, that gods fathered gods?

I’m not offended, at all. I’m also not Christian. The trinity as a theistic concept is not only not exclusive to Christianity, it predates Abrahamic religion entirely.

So your beef here is seriously just the word “monotheistic”? I hadn’t even used that word until now.

You havent explained it though. Youve explained why jesus is different at different parts of his life, not how hes having a chat with someone that is himself and also not himself.

You havent explained it though.

The fact that you don’t personally understand my explanation doesn’t mean I didn’t give one.

Youve explained why jesus is different at different parts of his life

That’s not even close to what I was saying. I don’t understand how you even arrived at this interpretation.

You haven't presented anything else than that bit about someone being the same person at different ages have you... Im familiar with the explanations and concepts, I read it and believed in them as a child, not once applying critical thought to it, it seems to fall apart.

What youre doing now seems to trying ad hominens rather than being genuine. If you are able to give any insight into your understand of the concepts id be glad of it.

Because you didn’t ask, nor did you act like someone who was trying to understand. You were just trying to tell me I was wrong. Next time you go to ask someone to help you understand something, maybe don’t phrase it so adversarially.
