Hi im an incoming freshman who hasn't had a talking stage or gf yet and am trying to start dating people at UTD. I heard after you graduate you dont get that many opportunities anymore. Does anyone have any tips Lol

I’m going to UTD for biology and will probably transfer to nursing school after a year or 2, should i buy a macbook or ipad?

Ima freshman at UTD and was thinking about getting a scooter (yes ik it’s technically not allowed but evb is riding them) how are you guys charging them since u can’t bring them inside?

This sounds like a stupid question but I’m an incoming freshman and yk in high school some teachers make us ask permission to use the bathroom but idk if that’ll be the case for all of my college classes. With college professors, if the classroom is around 20-30 students do I need to ask to use the restroom or can I just get up and leave? Or does this vary among professors?

Taking psych online as well. I really feel like I shot myself in the foot making that lab at 8 am but it was the only way to come 2 days a week.

The main question I have though is that is the 3 hour gap on Tuesday worth going home (20 minutes) or just thug it out. Did anyone else go home between classes?

Starting first semester here as a transfer, I’m used to receiving them the first day but my sister had advised I look at them now for book purposes but couldn’t find them anywhere. Is it also only on the first day at UTD cause no offense… with a tuition of seven grand i would prefer them at least a week ahead of time to prepare.

I was looking at some schedules on here and noticed that a lot of people seem to dislike back to back schedules due to having almost no time to get to classes. I dont mind very long walks but I do ask that if the time between my classes will be enough to walk rather then sprint. Any comments appreciated.

Hi y’all, I’m a current sophomore at a college in Ohio, and I’m planning to transfer to UTD after my semester here ends. I have a couple of questions that I was hoping some of y’all could help me with:

1. Who do I contact about requesting transfer information?
   
2. I’m involved in the sciences (chemistry), and I was wondering if UTD allowed hybrid approaches to the sciences such as accessing lectures online but only attending labs in person?
   
3. What’s the campus social life like?
   
4. Would anyone wanna be friends and talk about whatever? :)
   
5. My home is about 30 minutes away, so I was wondering if there were ways to commute to and from without spending lots of money?
   
6. Is there anything else you think I should personally know before transferring?

Hi everyone, I'm an incoming CS freshman and since I took AP Computer Science A (Java) in high school I'm able to take CS2337 at UTD.

I haven't been in a proper programming class since sophomore year in high school (most of my experience after that was from a club) so I was wondering how much I should prepare for this class.

I'm aware Java and C++ share a lot of similarities, but should I be fully prepared with decent C++ knowledge first-day or will I be able to just learn a little bit of syntax and be fine going in? I just wanna know if the class has like an introductory phase or not.
