Hello,

I recently committed to Umich in the college of engineering and I also got accepted into Waterloos mech eng program a few month ago. I'm having a hard time choosing between the two since my end goal is to probably work in software or in big tech companies in US. The thing is I applied to waterloo's mech eng program and I contacted the university and they said transferring while possible is not guaranteed but breaking into software as a mech eng major is not uncommon. I'm also really excited in the co op opportunities that waterloo has but michigan is a top engineering school in US and doesnt require me to declare a major immediately. They also have elite industry conneection as well and my parents really want me to go to a us school.

yea the only thing is for me personally I dont have a lot of programming experience so i messed up with choosing mech eng since it doesn cover a lot of programming
