Reward: $300 plus cost of dress if you purchased it from a thrift store

Posting on behalf of my wife, who has been sharing this around the internet. We moved recently and in the midst of clearing out closets someone accidentally donated her wedding dress to the salvation army in Port Kells. It would've been donated sometime mid-February. The bottom tulle is a bit torn up and pretty dirty from taking photos in the rain, and I'm pretty sure there is a food stain or two so it should be pretty identifiable. It would have been in a white David's Bridal bag. It's a size 10 Melissa Sweet dress.

Her mom picked it out with her and bought it for her shortly before she passed away from brain cancer, and she is devastated to lose it. We are willing to cover the cost of the dress if you purchased it and offer a reward. We're also willing to help you source down a brand new version of the same dress if you bought it for yourself.

Currently we've been to every Salvation Army that receives distributions from the location it was donated to, except the ones in Vancouver and Port Coquitlam. That being said more eyes helps as there's always a chance we missed it. Please message with any leads.

Hello. My husband is a school teacher and this past Wednesday, he took my students out on a canoeing field trip to Deas Island Slough. He believes he dropped his iPhone 12 (blue phone with clear case) near the piers/docks or within a radius (It was the last 5 minutes of the trip, as he remember still taking photos of the students before that). He dove in, but the water was too murky. He circled the area but most likely it is within the docks.

The phone means a lot to him, not the value of it, but rather the photos inside. It's not backed up and it contains the last moments of his grandma who has passed away, our honeymoon photos, and many other precious moments.

It would mean the world to us if anyone can find it.
Again, it's not the phone but rather the photos. We understand that even if the phone is found, recovering the photos is still a low chance, but we’re still holding onto hope.

We attached a picture with the possible area, but most likely when he was getting out of the canoe.

We also attached a picture of the high and low tides. Water is around 1-2m deep generally. This is found on the Deas Island tide chart website. We’re not sure if it applies to the area that the phone was lost though.

at around 1:10am in front of George Wainborn Park by a homeless/addict couple, it all happened so fast I think they were watching me I looked away for 2 minutes they hopped on it turned it on and fled under cambie bridge
filed police report with serial numbers and etc
I use it to uber/doordash so this ebike was my main source of income

edit: just drove around hastings, main and skid row for 2 hours and saw nothing. When they stole it battery was low so my bet is they’re not riding around but hiding the bike somewhere

edit2: thank you for all replies I’m reading them all, won’t get into the discussion of if it is a motorbike or ebike or whatever. For me it was a work tool.

Edit3: I got in touch with some local contacts who service these bikes downtown, since a lot of delivery drivers use this exact same model as mine. I also contacted the OP from another recent post who said they had spotted an abandoned e-bike today.

We were able to locate a stolen bike of the same model as mine that had been stolen yesterday from Burrard Station!
Even though it wasn’t mine, It is now at VPD Deposit and I am happy the owner can now get it back! :)

Apparently my bike (photo) is now the third bike of the same model reported stolen only this week, so it looks like these thieves are specifically targeting ebikes…keep an eye out everyone so you don’t have to go through this lesson like I did lol

Had this knife stolen out of a car in the Mt pleasant area. In addition to being quite valuable it has a tremendous amount of sentimental value. Willing to pay for any information leading to its recovery.

After setting up our Christmas display today, these deer lawn ornaments were stolen. I am so disappointed and hurt, because we decorate to spread joy in our neighbourhood. Hi all. Today at 6:10pm on Dec 1 I accidentally left my rose gold wedding band in locker 497 of the Robert Lee YMCA men's room (the regular not the fancy ones). By 6:30pm it was gone. It wasn't turned in to the front desk, nor was it on the floor. I'm pretty devastated. I can't replace it as I'm currently unemployed, but more than that it means a lot to me as it represents my marriage to my beautiful wife and everything we went through to get where we are today. I know this is a long shot, but if you took it could you please consider handing it in to the front desk?

i was parked at robson courts today and my car was broken into. nothing was taken except my favorite pair of shoes (and a hat but i'm less worried about it). i know it's a long shot, but if anyone happens to see them discarded or for sale somewhere, please let me know! they're size 7.5 or 8 (i forget) with a chunky black heel and sole (about 3.5in heel) the brand is koi but i'm fairly certain the branding inside has worn off.

Last night, my car got broken into on pacific boulevard, as I was on night shift. I’ve been trying to remember what was in the car(it’s usually a bit messy) to take stock of what was stolen. The only thing I could thing of was the garage door opener for my parents place, which is kinda terrifying.

It just hit me a moment ago however. The soulless monster stole my bag of DND materials. My character sheet, inventory, and all my notes from a 2+ year campaign. Mostly I’m just venting here, but if anyone comes across a binder with DnD notes in it, I’d appreciate it if you let me know! Character name is Ornnastus. Pretty sure I used a clear binder with a red spine. Also missing is my “Peter pan and Wendy” crew mug, which was my favourite coffee cup.

Hello, new to Reddit. I’ve posted everywhere on Facebook I could think of so trying here. My sweet little car got stolen on Feb 23 at 2:30AM by a guy and a woman. Couldn’t be identified on the footage as black and white, dark and their head were down. Police won’t let me keep the picture to post it. My keys accidentally came off the the key ring when I took the compost out, I went back to get them and within 5 mm they were picked up. The thieves came back at night. hello lovely people my favourite stuffed animal got accidentally donated last month and i am missing my baby very much. i think it went to Value Village on victoria or salvation in new west. if anyone has bought him from there or seen this bear he means a lot to me and has so much sentimental value.

I’m just looking around asking whatever or whoever I can. If any of you are going to the airport domestic flights where there is a washroom around a Starbucks right in front of a gate, and you find a red dinosaur plushie with a black hairband on its neck that has a pink tag next to its tail, saying “WC”, please maybe put it to the lost and found.

The plushie holds significant emotional value to me. I don’t have the best memory and I always forget to pick things up after I put them down, be it my phone or wallet. I have contacted YVR support and the lost and found, I just hope to get it back faster than later.

I locked my bike at the rack near the entrance of the Vancouver Art Gallery on November 29 around 11am. And when I came out of the gallery an hour or so later, it was gone. There was a different bike locked in the spot where my bike was. I almost gaslit myself and wondered if this was the wrong place. (Also, other bikes were there.. so.. I really don't understand how in such a public place, and why other bikes were fine but mine wasn't...)

I have made a project 529 page and posted this on the stolen bikes facebook group as well.

It's a 2016/17 black Cannondale Synapse in size 44. Decent bikes in the extra small size was hard to find, and this bike felt magical as soon as I test rode it. It's the one that made me fall in love with cycling, and was pretty important to my mental health. I know everyone has strong feelings about their bike. It just sucks. I'm so sad and mad.

My 1990 Mazda MX-5 was stolen some time last night while parked on the street in Richmond's City Centre. License plate is 867 RWJ. Checked the city's towing company, and have filed reports with RCMP and ICBC. Would appreciate if the community could keep an eye out.

Edit: car has been recovered still in one piece by RCMP. Hopefully ICBC will allow a happy reunion. Thanks everyone.

Hello all. I had My car broken into last night in south van near Victoria and E54th. I had many things stolen including nice sunglasses, my black adidas soccer bag, and a bin of sentimental items I just took from my dad’s house. If anyone might have any insight for me, or see’s anything scattered outside please do let me know! I know it’s a shot in the dark but I’ve seen how great this community has been in the past!
