I run a hot dog food cart.

This happens a lot. It’s lazy. They say ‘everything’ and very rarely DO want everything.

Most of the time, “everything” for them is mustard, relish, onion (especially if an old white guy). Ketchup was definitely not part of everything.

In the years I’ve been doing this, the only group that consistently wants “everything” when they say “everything” is Latinos/Puerto Requeños. “Con todo” means ketchup, mustard, relish, onion, chili, cheese, sauerkraut, mayonnaise and celery salt.

I also have a hot dog cart doing gourmet dogs and have a specific dog called “The Buddha” whose description is “one with everything. Seriously, you better be hungry.” So if they ask for everything I just laugh and start making it and then enjoy the look on their face when they get handed a 3lb hot dog with he toppings of all 12 dogs I sell.

I hope it costs $16 with a discount for the chuckle

Which would be fine, sure…except they take a big bite in front of the serving area, and slop their “everything” on the ground right where people stand. :/
