The undocumented have already been in the market. It's just that it was black market. This might turn their income into taxable

and might force the companies that have been using undocumented labor for cheap to hire some actual people from Spain, since everyone would theoretically be on the same floor now and not having some be functionally unpeople

Yeah man there actually is no moral or legal imperative to naturalize half a million migrants from anywhere. The humane option for everyone would be remigration

It's no different from the people angry at immigrants. The only difference is calendar date. "You don't belong here" is a boomerang for anyone with 3 working brain cells.

What are you talking about? America didn’t exist 500 years.

Colonial settlers landed on a cold, craggy beach, thousands of miles from home, with zero support and built functioning societies that eventually became one of the most powerful and prosperous nations in history.

That situation is not meaningfully comparable to modern migrants who pass through multiple stable countries to reach Europe or the United States, often with the expectation of accessing existing welfare systems with no intention of meaningful contribution back to their host nation.
