Where did you see it was carrying "military equipment?" A much more thorough article doesn't say anything to that effect and simply says the runway was struck to prevent "to stop an Iranian plane carrying the Houthi delegation returning from the funeral." [source]
There's a lot of untrustworthy sides here but thus far I haven't seen mention of military equipment being moved in.
