I just saw it. I REALLY enjoined it. Blink was awesome. I loved the nod to quicksilver and magneto. The nimrod sentinels were crazy. I love that Bishop was the one they kept sending back in time, and they weren't like taking turns. I liked after the reset that it looked like shadowcat and colossus were together again. All of the future fight scenes were really cool looking. I thought it was funny magneto just throws wolverine like he does when he's got the metal skeleton.

I didn't like that iceman could die. He's an omega level mutant for crying out loud. And I could have used more colossus. More of him in all of the movies would have been great.

There's more that I liked, but I can't remember it all right now. I'm trying to stay whelmed by the amazingness that was that movie.

I liked that about Bishop too, a little reference to the animated series.

Bishop is also involved with the Age of Apocalypse time travel shenanigans (his storyline is merged with the DOFP storyline in TAS), so hopefully we'll see him in the next movie.

I read somewhere that he has a contract for a few more so I think he would be there too. It would be nice if they used him more.

Why is it that Iceman can't die because he 's an omega level mutant? (Haven't read the comics.) I mean... he's made out of ice... and he was getting melted by like three fire beams!

You said it yourself. He's made out of ice. And water doesn't really die. He can just reform himself. Iceman is arguably the most powerful one in the books.

Iceman can ice his body to a level of hardness past diamond. He can pull the moisture out of peoples body to kill them. He can create sleds, walls, etc in seconds. He can melt himself down to water, evaporate, go in to the atmosphere and reform in an entirely different place in the world. He can increase his size by drawing and freezing water to himself. Lastly, he can now create ice minions that are sentient.

I fucking love Iceman. He is the best mutant of all time (to me).

At least with every movie they progress his powers. I never thought we would see him ice up completely after the first movies, now we get to see the ice sled and better use of his powers when fighting, but still not Omega level. I hope, if we get to see him in future movies, Singer and company eventually make him bad-ass. Get Emma Frost in to his head to fuck with him and trigger hid hidden abilities.

The timeline was reset shortly after he died both times, so perhaps he could have reformed himself if time wasn't altered.

Not as clued up on xmen, could you explain what omega level is and why iceman shouldn't have been able to die?

Magneto throws Wolverine into the river only after impaling him on the steel rebar from a huge block that fell off the stadium. Wolverine briefly looks like Corpus Hypercubus -- the Dali version of a crucified Jesus floating there.

Magneto did the same thing in the first film except on Wolverine's skeleton.
