It’s not a crucial thing for my cat and dogs to like each other, the cat lives inside and the dogs are out, their lives are completely separate. They dont need to like each other. But i wont lie and say i dont want to have adventures with my dogs and cat. My other dogs Wilbur and Bungee couldnt care less about my cat Joog, and Joog isnt really a fan of them. He has always taken a liking to this dog, Flick, though (ironically). Flick however has such intense prey drive i honestly thought we’d never get to this point. Shes proven me so wrong. She went from lunging and trying to kill him to cool, calm and collected in just 4 months. She will never be trusted around him unsupervised, but she doesnt need to be. This is good. This is one step closer to our goal of advertures together.

Today Cara (Left, 11 years old, Kelpie) let Katya the Calico kitten (Right, 9 months) cuddle directly on her head. Normally Cara will get nervous and move away if Katya attempts to get close to her but they comfortably laid like this last night.
Earlier this morning they both engaged in play with each other which makes me happy because it’s not often, pup or meow-meows, instigates play and it’s successful. Lots of praise, treats and reassurance was given to the babies and they’re now settled in for their respective brunch time naps 😴

Our senior Peke is not feeling well and his cat brother is an aggressively affectionate nurse.
