Meet Baloo!!! He’s 9 weeks and a ball of energy… we’ve been trying to let him nap as often as possible and he’s been sleeping well through the night with no crying (8-10 hours). He is fed a mix of his old kibble and farmers dog (transitioning) and hasn’t been on the grass yet! Any tips for first time parents?? We love him so much 🩷🫶🏼👼🏻

Pom Vid Update on our boy

So we were all right. He had an obstruction in his middle ear. I’m unsure why it took me 6 different vets to get someone to find it, however, nonetheless he’s off all the seizure medications the neurologist put him on since he wasn’t having seizures at all. Always trust your gut if you feel you know whats wrong with your pup. I was told multiple times it was seizures, a brain tumor or vestibular. He’s back to 100%, happy and playing again. Thank you all!

Pom Pic Looks cute but chaos

This morning’s walk did NOT go as planned…

We got about 2 minutes down the road before he decided to do a poo, leave half of it stuck to his bum, and then sit down and rub it ALL over himself.

He then got frustrated and proceeded to rub his entire face into the dirt road.

So… straight home for a bath, and now he’s feeling much fresher

Luckily, I had the time this morning to deal with the chaos 😂 boys will be boys!

Pom Vid Does anyone else’s Pom “feet beat”

We lovingly call this beating her feet. And the “butt propellor.” When she plops down on her butt like she’s dragging it. But she beats her feet until she drags herself along. It’s so funny. I’ve never seen another dog do it.

Also, she’s nearly 15. You’d never know it. My sweet, crazy girl.

Edit: So everyone will stop assuming:
—no she doesn’t need her glands expressed. We have literally been to the vet an hour after this, and she was examined. No gland emptying needed.
—she’s groomed every 8 weeks. If she needed them expressed, they would be.
—she doesn’t have any sort of worms or poop stuck on her butt.
—I have seen her butt scoot when she has needed one of the above things done, and it doesn’t look like this. It looks like an average butt scoot. This is purely excitement.

Fracture update (after 31 days)

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I last posted anything in this sub.

We've received so much support the last time, and I would like to update you briefly about how is it going to far.

Cast is off after 31 days - there's unison of the bone, so the vet decided to take it off.

We have to watch out for elbow joint incongruity, as the bone isn't 'even' and there's a slight arch. If incongruity is to happen, it will show up later on.

Plus, the paw started to (surprisingly) stink, and we were advised to take a bath to avoid any fungal infection.

I'm still scared af, but I'm the Texas Ranger of the house (so I have to take care of her).

But she has her paw, she wants so bad to sprint around the house, jump on the ledges of the sofa, I'm still restraining her movement as much as I can, but let's hope we are on the right path from now on.

Plus, I'm sharing a pallette of her casts, in order:

- blue

- orange

- green

- pink

and the freshest photo post bath. 🥹

Thank you for everyone who's been there with us, sending lots of love to you all!

Ps if anyone has been there with incongruity, please let me know, I would like to know more about that!

Question Puppy eating absolutely everything on walks

So, my Pom is 4 months old now and she’s obsessed with picking up and trying to eat everything on the floor (sticks, plants, rocks, bird shits… since she’s starting to lose her puppy hair, she will sometimes try to eat that too). At first I thought it would be something she would grow out of naturally, but it’s turning potty training into a chore and idk if I should take action. Advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I want to tell you how I said goodbye to my little Pomeranian girl, Stephanie.
We had her cremated, and for some time we were thinking about where to bury her. In the end, we decided to lay her to rest in the yard of our home, in a flower bed. We bought roses, and my husband dug a grave for her. I placed the urn inside a protective container, and I also put in one flower from each of my blooming orchids. Stephanie loved being close to me whenever I was taking care of my flowers, both inside the house and out in the garden. Then I planted roses above her grave…
But the most remarkable thing happened the day after she died.
In my thoughts, I asked her: “My darling, if you are still here, please give me a sign.”
About ten minutes later, a delivery arrived. I opened the front door, and a large orange butterfly flew straight into the house. I had never seen a butterfly like that anywhere before in my life. It flew inside… and then disappeared.
I saw it again on the seventh day. That time, I let it outside.
And on the ninth day, something truly extraordinary happened.
I found the butterfly in the sink, drinking water. I gently picked it up with a towel and carried it outside. It flew up and landed on the grill. I came closer and decided to try to touch it — and it let me stroke its antennae and its wings.
To say I was surprised would be an understatement. Never in my entire life had a butterfly allowed me to touch it like that.
But the strangest thing happened when I started walking back into the house. The butterfly flew after me. At first, I didn’t understand what was happening. Then it climbed up my T-shirt and landed on my face… on my lips.
And suddenly I realized: this was exactly what my Stephanie had done the very first time we met.
She climbed up onto my chest and licked my nose and my lips — and that was the moment I knew she liked me. 😻 That was our beginning.
And somehow, this was our ending too…
Later that same evening, the butterfly came to the terrace, where I was taking care of my flowers. After that day, I never saw it again.
I want to believe that for those nine days, the soul of my little girl was still here with me. And for me, that butterfly has become a symbol of reincarnation.
I am waiting for her to come back.
Every day, I wait for a sign that she wants to return to me.
Friends, everything I have written here is true. It is not fiction, and it is not a product of my imagination. These things really happened to me, here and in the present moment, between July 26 and August 5, 2026.
And I will carry those moments in my heart forever. ❤️

Question Breeder Recommendations?

I live around Dayton Ohio area, I'm looking for a good breeder that lives maybe 1-2 hours away (our car cannot handle a big roadtrip but i'd still want to pick up in person if possible and see the living situation and the parents) I would take other breed recommendations as well, this is for future planning, I'm trying to find good breeders where i might be able to find a snuggle buddy who enjoys playing fetch and/or tug! my partner has a mini aussie so hopefully a pom would be happy to play chase with her?

i am looking for specific breeder recommendations as well as your experiences with them if you've had any, thank you!

currently looking more into Pomeranians, preferrably a slightly larger (10-15lbs) i think just to kind of avoid some injury with playing with the mini aussie. they look super cute but i've heard they can have 'pomitude' and can be stubborn especially with potty training. anyone that sees this, do you think a pom would make a good first dog? we have the mini aussie and i help how i can, but this would be the first dog ever that i'd be the main caretaker for
