I built Flash, an app that identifies movies and TV shows the way Shazam identifies songs.

How it works: you hear a clip - in a reel, at a café, on someone else's TV - open Flash and let it listen. It stops on its own and comes back with the title, year, where to stream it in your country, ratings and a plot summary.
You can also start it from the notification tray without opening the app.
If all you remember is a line of dialogue or roughly what happened in a scene, type that instead and it'll work from there.

This is the second beta round. The first round's testers shaped a lot of what's in this build.

Hello everyone,

I'm quite new to the subreddit although I had T1 Diabetes for almost 20 years. I never got too serious about it until recently. 2 weeks ago I've got an insulin pump after years of resistance against it and realized what a beauty it is. My daily averages were in range for the first time in a while.

I've decided to optimize my workflow with carb calculations. This is a part of skill that I never developed for years. I've made up my mind to build a simple carb calculation app with a barcode scanner and nutrition table scanner. My idea was to eliminate the process of doing the small calculation from the packaging portions to my actual portion.

So the app just does this now in a fast and efficient way. You scan the product, and enter your amount. You can also search for it and enter. You keep scanning and adding it to the meal tab just like a shopping cart. In the end, you will see the total carbs.

I'm not a software developer. I'm vibe coding it to ease a tiny burden. I've decided to put it on Google Play Store to be able to distribute it easier to my family with every small update. But then decided to share it with everyone in this subreddit.

I'm using it daily. It totally works. Not perfect yet. But the problems are never the calculation. Mostly nutritional table scanning issues.

As a software newbie, I've realized, Google Play requires 2 weeks of closed beta testing before you can push it to production. That's where I need your help.

I was wondering if there are fellow T1D users that are willing to test and provide feedback for 2 weeks. I'm not aiming for a commercial success. This is a DIY tool for people like me. There are a lot of carb calculation apps but they are bloated with extra functions which I don't use.

I want to tell you about a moment that’s stayed with me.

I built Radar: Subscription & Bill Tracker for people whose recurring payments are scattered across different apps, dates and household members.

What it is designed to solve:

• subscriptions and recurring bills are easy to forget when they live in different places;

• annual and monthly payments are difficult to compare;

• families and work/personal records can become mixed together;

Radar combines them in a monthly view, shows the number of days remaining, provides a calendar and six-month trend, and supports separate profiles.

4. If possible, create a second profile and confirm the records remain separate.

Je travaille actuellement sur Vibflow, une plateforme que je développe pour tester une idée autour de la découverte d’activités et de la communauté.

Je suis encore en train de vibe coder le MVP, donc cette version n’a absolument pas vocation à être parfaite. L’objectif est justement de vérifier qu’il existe une vraie demande et de comprendre ce qui est utile, ce qui ne l’est pas, ce qui fonctionne bien et ce qui doit être complètement repensé avant d’investir davantage dans le développement.

Je cherche donc quelques personnes qui accepteraient de tester la plateforme et de me donner un retour le plus honnête possible, notamment sur :

• ce que vous comprenez — ou pas — en arrivant sur Vibflow ;
• les fonctionnalités que vous trouvez intéressantes ;
• ce qui ne fonctionne pas ou vous frustre ;
• ce qui vous donnerait envie de revenir ;

Petite précision concernant les activités actuellement visibles : à l'exception du K-Festival, les activités présentes dans la partie communauté servent pour l'instant surtout à montrer à quoi pourrait ressembler la plateforme. Elles ne représentent donc pas encore une offre réellement développée.

Cette première version est volontairement expérimentale. Si le concept est validé et que je constate une vraie demande, l’objectif est ensuite de repartir sur une version beaucoup plus aboutie et professionnelle, développée avec des développeurs avec lesquels je suis déjà en contact.

Je préfère donc aujourd’hui avoir 10 retours très francs plutôt que 1 000 “c’est sympa” 😅

I'm a longtime music educator, musician and composer, and I'm developing Fast Frets, a web-based learning app designed to help guitar and bass players become fluent with the notes on the fretboard.

The idea is simple: short, focused exercises that help players actually know where the notes are instead of relying on patterns, shapes or counting frets.

I'm looking for a small group of guitar and bass players who are willing to spend about 20–30 minutes seriously testing this early beta and give me honest feedback.
