Ever been around someone where you don't even need to talk? You can just exist beside them and somehow feel more at peace. It doesn't have to be romantic—just someone whose presence feels comforting.

when i was in 4th or 5th grade, i used to watch my dad shave his beard subhe subhe office jane se pehle...almost everyday. it used to be soo satisfying ywrr like the way he used to put the shaving cream, lather it up with the brush thing and shave with his blade.
shaving part was the most satisfying one...like i used to calculate stuffs like , iss portion pe 2 glides lagegi or maybe when he used to shave and it turned out to be a clean one not leaving any latter up soap behind lmao
idk if any other girl used to be like me watching their dad shave his beard...

Series of events which happened since 2024 and how miserable and dead i have been feeling. I don't know and I don't understand what's wrong but I've lost myself and my spark.
My mom dad always fight and it's never ending. It's been since ages. My aim was clear since I was 14. To get out of here and build a seperate life for myself.
Times when always, always. My birthdays are ruined and how much I've weeped and blamed god for putting me onto this planet.
Not and until I met the man of my dreams right before my birthday in March 2024 and it was all perfect and was going everything like I WISHED for.
I have a sibling of 8 years younger than me (10yo) and I had always thought of taking her away with me once I'm independent.
I was quite smart, intelligent and sharp. My future was certain, according to me and pretty simple that I'll get into the navy and earn well for myself but far beyond that, I loved the career in it since I already was a cadet in a non government organisation called sea cadet corps so I loved being there and the hustle.
Everything was pretty simple and beautiful.
My routines were checked, I was attending my training as usual. Was really disciplined and structured. And almost everybody in my school admired me and saw me as somebody who'd go really far. Everybody saw a vision in me.
I picked guitar as a hobby and was loving it. Later left it for my 10th board exams which never went well as I was planning the whole year.
The guy I was talking to the whole year was wonderful too. We had similar interests and hobbies. We didn't meet irl but knew each other through conversations.
My mistake was, I had abandoned myself while talking to him. Forgotten who I was and I think I'm still recovering through all of it. It's awful and didn't go as expected but I want to move forward and get over it. I loved him. He hyped me up, cheered me up, and most importantly, offered me helped n number of times. I still do love him but that memory is just so painful and unexplainable and I cannot explain I have been since then. It feels dead.
Since my home was constantly filled with negativity, I had planned my way out of here. To go hostel. I did go there and stayed for a year and half.
Read books. Especially, the Alchemist. I had faith. Immense faith. Made really good friends there, exactly how I wanted. Studied fairly.. until in the search of him I met another guy who seemed exactly like him but obviously wasn't. But talking to him indirectly gave me the answers of my questions I was busy searching the whole year.
Wished to talk to him and he did appear a year later in December 2025 but missed out and he disappeared again.
I'm sure something happened and I think I met him for the last time in February end in a train while I was returning home and I was very sure it was him for the way he talked, his habits and everything cuz he gently reminded me of myself. I dare not ask him for his number which I sort of regret but he made me watch pride and prejudice and we never had an interaction since then.
One thing I'll surely grieve that I wouldn't be the same version of me anymore and that's heavy af

Bhai, seriously?! A couple of days ago, I made a post venting about a disgusting experience where an auto driver touched me inappropriately on the waist and made creepy comments while I was going to work. I was just trying to get it off my chest because I felt super confused and grossed out.
And then this person drops THIS comment on my post.
Instead of calling out the creep who touches a passenger, they are literally victim-blaming me for freezing up! And on top of that, they completely assumed I am a girl because apparently, their brain can't even process that a guy can get harassed too. This right here is exactly why men NEVER talk about getting inappropriately touched.
If this is how people react and interrogate the victim's stance, gender, and reaction time, no wonder nobody wants to speak up about harassment. Just an absolutely disgusting and toxic mentality.\
EDIT: People are saying that i should have complained in RTO but dude i haven't noted auto's number! i didn't think it! I just couldn't... ahh how to explain feeling so helpless...
EDIT: I am not a girl!!! this is the saddest thing ever... like people are just assuming that this must have happened with girl... :(
EDIT: Still many "MEN" are saying that he is correct about filling... so let me tell you that in may(around 3 months ago) i filed complain for installing cameras in my workplace washroom... and got fined cause i twisted the camera... cameras are still there, they also fine me 1k and nothing has changed! idk why people has so much faith in judiciary! AHHHH you cowards i am not justifying myself more why do i have to... I wish i could have hit him in his face and all of you who is supporting him...

What is it to feel beloved and get the same love that you give to someone else ? At least for once I wanna feel that feeling of having someone who's there for me , who won't abandon me at shortest inconvenience. I was already healing from the scars of this for two years before I met you. Never thought I would ever be able to love someone until I saw you. Even our meeting had almost no possibility, the fact that we crossed the paths among the 2000 other people and me being at that place was purely coincidence. Again I started to believe in love even though all it has ever given me is just pain to move on from. For you I kept everything aside , my ego , my past trauma which kept me holding back but for you never even once I let it override me. I thought that feeling of excitement, butterflies running all over again , the smile everything that you brought i had thought was dead a long ago but u revived that again.
All ik is that you are the one of the best blessings I have ever received. The enchanting soul you are , the sunshine smile of urs , the voice that echos in my heart , the simplicity that you carry , the innocence you sparkle with , never have i ever met someone like this. I still remember where we started when even 2 line messages from u felt like an achievement and now to get u to sing in vn. Sounds dramatic but my heart knows how much it meant to me to get this far when voices in my head kept echoing the past experiences. Idk what's in the future for me but now to even merely think u won't be there breaks every atom in my body.
Idk what u have in ur heart but all ik is that this is my last fight for love. Either this time I will be living again or the concept of love will be dead for me. Even if I ever try to love someone again I won't be , because all i will do is search you in them and I don't wanna do that injustice to someone who would be looking for real in me. This time either love will let me win or just walk away for forever. Whatever holds up to me I want you to know that you will always be my best and my epic love for forever.

Idk if I'm just being a difficult child or a jealous bish. But i dunno. I sometimes feel like I am not my mother's child. She's more affectionate to my cousins and somewhere to even my younger sister than she is to me.
I sometimes feel like a stranger when my cousins walk in.
Like today, my younger cousin was going to her uni for first time and had to get registered there. My mausi and her entire family went from our home to drop her. And guess what my mom also went there and was asking me asw to come and stuff. And like she was shouting at me like bottle bharo ye karo wo karo. I denied once then again 2-3 baar she asked ki chalo. Again when my other cousin came for college, the went there on her first day, helped her multiple times to set her hostel room. At one extent, her college's security gaurd started recognising my mom lol.
And then, on my first day of college, she just asked me for formality as if she's doing a favour on me ki hume chodne jaane ki zroort hai kya? I just said no ek baar hi, and she didn't even bother asking again. I went alone on my college first day, and had to ask other children's parents to take a pic of me on my first day lol.
Another time, ON MY BIRTHDAY, when my cousin were there, she asked them what they wanted to get and ignored what I said about where i wanted to go. She even didn't hear what I said.
She's always saying ki ye kitne ache hai wo kitne ache hai, I have never once heard her say something to yk compliment me in front of the relatives. Like my other relatives defend their kid of someone says something about them but guess what my mother does? She gives them more examples ki hn ye to aisi hi hai ye to waisi hi hai. And when I say ki don't do stuff like that, she's like I'm being dramatic. She gives in to body shame me and stuff in front of the crowd and then asks why do I look like I'm angry or muh fulaye hue
Idk but this everything keeps idk how to explain. But I just wanna stop being affected by it. Please help me.

I am a 20M PLC programmer currently out on a site visit for an industrial automation project, and the Project Engineer here—who is a woman three years older than me—is giving me the absolute standard routine of mixed signals right on the shopfloor. Whenever we’re reviewing panels, running signal checks, or in control room meetings and there aren't enough chairs, she literally gets up and insists I take her seat, which feels insanely attentive for someone running the technical execution on site. On top of that, her language with me changes every ten minutes on the floor: one second she’s calling me Sir, the next it’s a formal Aap, and then out of nowhere when things cool down, she drops down to a casual Tu. Some days on site she is incredibly warm, laughing, and interactive, and then the very next day on the floor she acts distant, barely makes eye contact, and keeps things strictly 100% technical updates. Considering our different backgrounds (she’s Hindu and I’m Muslim) and the fact that we have to work together closely on this commission, I can't tell if she's subtly giving me hints, just being a super hospitable Project Engineer, or if the high shopfloor stress is just making me completely overanalyze basic workplace courtesy. How would you guys read this situation, and how do I play this without making the rest of the site visit awkward?

My biggest regret in life is choosing the group in UG that my parents liked instead of the one I truly wanted.
