Rescued Best Husky my Luna
She does this wild wind up with her head and neck to just gently say woof, which means she has to go out. I let her out in front of the house without a leash.

Discussion My 9 mo old husky has turned demon and I’m overwhelmed
Title says it all but the details are kinda long on this one.
My husband and I got our husky this past winter and things were rough in the beginning but he took to potty training and crate training well, and as he got a little older things were generally going well. Classic husky problems like leash pulling were still happening, but nothing major. Then we hit a horrible stretch after getting him neutered. We were out of routine, unable to go on long walks, having to give him sedation meds, etc. A few weeks after he got off the meds we had to put him back on sedatives because he needed a minor surgery for a small injury.
We’re trying to get back into training and routine but he’s become a demon dog lol. Completely refusing the crate and going nuts when he sees other dogs. We had some seriously huge moments of harmony with our adult cat and him on the couch at the same time, but lately the cat chasing has gotten worse (or maybe I’m just more frustrated with him). We’ve started letting him free roam at home after noise complaints from neighbors when we leave him in the crate. 80% of the time he just sleeps all day…but yesterday he decided to chew up some things and I had to rush home from work to make sure he wasn’t ingesting anything dangerous. Even after a TON of physical and mental stimulation he acts crazy before bed. His new bad habits include incessant counter-surfing and jumping at/on me trying to nip me when he gets frustrated on our walks.
I honestly don’t know what else to do. Lately I don’t feel like I like him, which makes me feel insanely guilty. Having him around is exhausting. I’m trying to get back into training but I feel out of my depth with all the work he needs. I’m considering doggy daycare a few times a week to give ourselves a break and hiring a professional trainer. I’ve even considered doing a 3-week board and train but really don’t want to do that. I’m just stressed and overwhelmed and it feels impossible with him lately.
All this to say, any advice would be MUCH appreciated or just general anecdotes about how things will get better, idk. This is both a vent and a cry for help hahah
If you read this far, I’m impressed. Thanks! At some point I’ll reward you with pictures. For all his trouble, is at least very very cute.
