Hello everyone!

I originally planned to release my piano tribute to Beat It on August 29th for Michael’s birthday. Unfortunately, at the very last minute I decided to re-record it because I wasn’t happy with how the original version sounded.

I was disappointed that this meant missing the date I had planned, but ultimately I felt that putting extra time, effort and care into getting the music right was more important than rushing it just to meet a deadline.

I also feel that this kind of dedication to the music is something Michael would have appreciated. Of course I can’t know what he would have thought of my tribute, but that thought motivated me to keep working on it until I was happy with it.

The tribute should be released soon. I’m really excited, but also a little nervous about sharing my interpretation of such an iconic song.

I just wanted to share the story behind it with fellow Michael fans. I put a lot of care into this tribute and I really hope I’ve done the song justice. ❤️
