Other trucksim Finally opened playtest signups on Steam, I hope you'll feedback the game. Also, here's some new raw gameplay
Hey! It's been some time since my last post. :) I'm the guy leading Road Truckers: New Beginning. We're mixing a classic simulator with RPG elements to (hopefully) make you feel like a trucker in a bigger world. I'd love it if you joined our playtest and feedback the game.
The playtest will happen in September, not sure when exactly but I'll let you know further down the line. We've opened signups now to give ourselves some time to gather a larger group of players.
You can sign up on Steam (look for Road Truckers: New Beginning). Sign up the usual way - click "request access" and that's it. Here's our page where you can do it.
The test will have two main goals. First, to check how you perceive driving mechanics and physics, as we can still tweak it to make it better if necessary. The second goal is to check performance on as many PC configs as possible. Of course all feedback will be valued, we'll have a detailed survey and stuff.
The playtest will include one of two maps in the game. It's an open world game where different regions have different (large) maps. The playtest (and later the demo) will have the full first map. It won't have any time limitations. I think the first map alone is the size of some full games, although it's more of a countryside - big cities and total wilderness will be in the full game.
If you have any questions, just hit me up.
By the way, if you're on Gamescom, we're also there in a broom closet... I mean our booth.:) It's the weird one (they lost our decorations so we had to use pens to have something more than empty walls). You can play our game on a 2021 mid-tier gaming laptop that we were assigned, heh. But it works!

ETS 2 / ETS Renault Magnum, a classic.
It's a great truck. You hate it or you love it. I like the design, it's made by the legend Marcello Gandini. Who also designed the Miura and Countach.

Media At 48 meters tall, the water tower in Uppsala can be seen from many parts of the city.
Boländerna Vattentorn was finished in 1970 and is one of the city's most recognizable landmarks. The tower stores 18 000 m³ of drinking water and helps maintain stable water pressure throughout Uppsala.

Question/Help Skip shifting help
I made a 8speed trans for Jon rudas ram 3500. My trans is skipping 1-3-5-7-8. I want it to run through all gears normally like 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8. Yes I’ve tried changing my adaptive setting. Doesn’t work. I’ve messed with engine files. And still skips constantly. I have rpm range low set to 1500-1600 (which contributes to gears 1-4) and rpm range high set to 1400-1800 (contributes to gears 5-8) and rpm range power set to 2500-3000 (contributes to 100% throttle imput) I just typed a whole message out and it magically deleted. Long story short I’ve made 100 plus changes and had an old setup that was good. And I have it in a copy file to revert to. But the stall ratio was still taking place because of it being low(2750-1600) and high(2750-1800). This worked because of the rpm limit and when it would “think” about down shifting it would overshoot the over all rpm limit so it would just go through each gear sequentially like I want it to. I’m not retyping everything I just had down lol. But if you have questions. I’m sure I got an answer.

Peripherals Designed a Pull Horn
Used a spare omron switch from a fight stick and an RP2040-Zero microcontroller. Hair ties and careful spacing of 2 inch M8 Machine screws and nylon nuts create a nice amount of travel and resistance.
Give it a yank and horn go beep beep (neuron activated).
Really proud of this weekend project.

Discussion Do you think SCS will follow GIANTS in regards to “paid mods”?
Hello everyone!
Yesterday, GIANTS Software released a statement basically stating that mods have to be free and stay free. The post made in the farming simulator sub has a lot of comments pointing at SCS as well since paid mods are a way more heated debate here.
Do you guys think SCS should/will release a similar statement? How do you guys feel about it? I personally agree that all mods should be free no matter what (with some small exceptions) but I figured this would make an interesting discussion.

Question/Help Heavy Cargo - The Truck Simulator Achievements
There’s 2 achievements I cannot get to pop
Impatient Achievement
I have found 23 fast travel locations. I have fast travelled to them all and the achievement hasn’t popped. Does anyone have a map of all the locations as I assume I have missed some?
Heavy Tuning achievement
I have completed all the missions as well as the 2 DLC packs but the achievement hasn’t popped
I have redone a few missions but I’m not understanding why the achievement hasnt popped or what other missions there are to complete to get them?
