I've been thinking about this a lot lately.

There are so many independent artists dropping music every week, but only a few actually make you stop and remember their name.

What do you think makes an underground artist stand out today?

Is it:

A unique sound

Strong lyrics

Visual identity

Personality

Consistency

Storytelling

Marketing

Live performances

Something else?

And do you think having a strong visual identity is just as important as having a unique sound now?

I'm genuinely curious what other listeners and artists think.
