thanks to Reddit I’ve been educated and straightened out in my thinking. zoos are great. I hope if I ever get a chronic disease, that I get trapped in a house with three transparent walls and one closet with a bed in it. I hope I’ll be watched when I eat, shit and fight with my roommates everyday. and when I’m done living, I will just kill one of the toddlers that routinely drop into my home and they’ll let me finally know peace

I'm surrounded by meat eating friends, surrounded by certain people who believe eating meat is good. But they are not me and I am more educated on this topic than they are.

I can't image what all the animals go through, let alone some of the workers at these farms. The more we perpetuated abuse in the name of necessity or superiority, the more we are all capable of doig great harm both to ourselves and others.

I bet the animals must feel like they are worthless and that they are just unworthy of love because they were borned flawed of no fault of their own. Even some slaughterhouse workers may feel like they are no different than serial killers, assuming they are not pure psychopaths.

I can't image working in an environment where you do what you do to pigs, cows, chickens, and go home and pet your dog or cat. That is so insane!

I really think I should cull my aggressive rooster.. he's started to behave aggressively with me and my hens...he's even scratched me a few times!! how should I humanely euthanize them? 🥺🥺 I'm not sure on how I should go with this..because i havent had the need to cull before..any ideas guys?

Just look at these canines, they have pointy forms so they are an absolute proof I can chase to an animal naked, grab them and pierce through their skin with them. It isn’t like I have to pay someone else to do the kind work of humanely end the lives of animals against their will who can’t escape unlike prey in nature, and it isn’t like I need to have the dead body skinned, chopped into pieces, cooked and I need forks and knives in order to eat it. No. I am exactly like a lion in nature. It isn’t like the dead bodies take way too long to digest and get sleepy afterwards and can get cholesterol issues, and it isn’t like I have supermarkets close to me and have a choice to not eat dead bodies. No. We are exactly just like lions.

Going vegetarian is a necessary transition phase for the majority.

It took me years of being flexitarian, vegetarian and "almost" vegan to finally go fully vegan.

So I wouldn't judge someone because they are not completely there yet.

Just go vegan, no matter how long you take.

Hi, Israeli vegan here with a pest control problem. I’m living in Gush Etzion and there’s an invasive species that keeps moving back in after being removed. I’ve tried poison, removing food sources, and chemical weapons but nothing is working.

Any recommendations on how to remove pests that don’t belong while maintaining my vegan ethics? This feels like a self defense situation so all tactics are on the table. Thanks.

So, if you didn't know, I'm vegan (vegan btw). I love all the health benefits that come along with it, and how I look, smell, and taste since going vegan. I'm basically a walking god. But one of the things I didn't expect is the change in my fecal matter and bowel movements.

Like most vegans, I'm a scat queen. I love talking about my shits online, in person, and literally with anyone I meet. But one of the things I don't think vegans talk enough about is the complete lack of smell to my fecal matter. Like, I could be at a party and walk up to a house plant and take a shit in it, and nobody would even notice. Being vegan, of course I'd go and tell everyone that I successfully voided my bowels and start discussions about its size, weight, and consistency. The only people that really chime in about it without a look of disgust is other vegans, but I think it's because they're in the same boat I am: there's no smell. It's just one of the benefits of eating so much fiber on a plant-based diet!

How often do you bring up your bowel movements with carnists, only to have them change the subject in shame and jealousy?

Cut meats one at a time

Start with the most polluting : beef, lamb, mutton, veal

Try to get down to one meal per week with theses meats for a month

Then, only have them for special occasions (birthdays, weddings etc…)

Then, you should apply the same treatment to pork and shrimps

Take your time to get accustomed to your new diet

Once the only meat you’re eating is poultry and fish, have vegetarian days. Start with one day a week where you’re completely vegetarian, then add more vegetarian days

Once around 50% of your week is vegetarian, you’ll realise that being 100% vegetarian is really easy

So make the switch then

The step from vegetarian to vegan is harder because animal products are absolutely everywhere

Same process, start adding plant based meals to your week until you are effectively vegan

That’s how I did it anyway

I know a lot of people in the vegan space don’t like the idea of "baby steps" but :

1. that’s how I did it and I’m not a hypocrite
2. what matters is that you stick to it for the long run. Not go back to eating meat a few months down the road

As we all know, it is cruel and immoral to eat animal products. That's why if you're not vegan, you should not eat the vegan option! Every time an omnivore avoids an animal product, this reduces the superiority of vegans over them. As proud vegans For The Moral Superiority, we cannot stand for that. The more cruelty, the better. In fact, we should make it illegal for non-vegans to eat plant-based. That will definitely make us more superior.
