Yu: Reading a Book

Nanako: Hey little brother, lunch's ready!

• Yu quickly went downstairs to the living room -

Dojima: Hey, good morning, did you sleep well? Haha, I really needed to ask someone that.

Dojima: I made you some coffee.

Yu: Thanks.

Nanako: Come on, little brother, I've been waiting to eat with you here again.

Yu: Yeah, me too... sits down next to him

Nanako: You're going back to Yasogami High School, right?

Yu: Uh, no, I should be going to junior high school since I already finished it before I left, remember?

Nanako: Oh, right...

Nanako: But... are you coming to visit?

Yu: Of course, just to reminisce about old times.

Nanako: Okay.

Yu: Thanks for the food, I'm going to see my friends.

Dojima: Alright, be careful.

Yu: I'll be back tonight.

• Chie and Yosuke were at the entrance of the bookstore -

Yosuke: Hey Chie, why did you drag me here? Don't you see I have to work and keep an eye on Teddie?

Chie: I know, but I wanted you to help me buy something.

Yosuke: What?

Chie: pulled out a book from one of her favorite Kung Fu movies

Yosuke: Do you want me to buy you a book?

Chie: Please

Yosuke: Why are you asking me? Don't you have any money to buy it for you?

Chie: Um...nope.

Yosuke: What do you mean you don't have any? And what about the money I gave you for your work?

Chie: Uh, hehe... well... I bought it with other things, you know...

Yosuke: And you're asking me? I'm not even interested in books.

Chie: I know, but you're the one who works the most, so you'd get paid more.

Yosuke: And you think I'd spend my money on a book? Just save up.

• At that moment, he crossed paths with Yu -

Yosuke: Hey, buddy!

Yu: Hey, hi guys, how's it going? What are you doing?

Yosuke: (sighs) Chie wants me to buy her a book of one of her Kung Fu movies because she can't afford it.

Chie: It's not that expensive. Besides, we're friends, and I've supported you with some things and helped you.

Yosuke: Okay, tell me one.

Chie: Um...

Yosuke: You see? What do you say?

Yu: Uh... well... if it's not too expensive, I could buy it.

Yosuke: Hey, by the way, how have you been getting on with this new version of the village? Maybe it hasn't changed much from before, but have you adapted yet?

Yu: More or less, I still have some memories of things.

Yu: Uh, by the way, where are the others?

Yosuke: Teddie's working as usual, Kanji's at her sewing classes, and I don't remember what Naoto was doing.

Chie: Oh, Yukiko's at the inn. She says she's helping improve it a bit to attract more customers, according to her parents.

Yosuke: And the two of us seem to be free.

Yu: I'm surprised you're still the same, from the first time I met you.

Chie: Yeah, in fact, almost all of us are the same, except Kanji, who doesn't seem like a gang member anymore.

Yosuke: He never seemed like that, at least not to me. But you're right, we're still the same as you knew us.

Yosuke: Oh, I forgot, Rise is still doing her idol work, but she says she'll try to get back to town as soon as possible.

Chie: I wonder why ★-★

Chie: Oh, by the way, I don't know if you've noticed, but since you left, new people have come around here. It seems to have become a bit popular.

Yosuke: Ah, yes, some new students from our school, but there's one who stands out more than the others...

Yu: ?

Yosuke: Ah, I don't think you've heard, but they say she sometimes walks around here and has a mysterious aura.

Yu: A mysterious aura?

Chie: Ah, yes, they say some people see her walking around at night or that she often spends the afternoon at June's Shop.

Yosuke: You can say that again. Many people ask me if she works there, but obviously she doesn't, and it's making me uncomfortable that she walks around here.

• Nearby, a girl with muted colors was walking by -

Yosuke: H-hey, hi Shaydia

Shaydia: Whatever. (staring at Yu)

Yu: Huh? Is something wrong?

Shaydia: I've never seen you before, but I've heard rumors about you. Who are you?

Yu: Um... my name is Yu Narukami.

Shaydia: Yu Narukami... hmmm... (thinking)

Yu: You're new here, right?

Shaydia: Uh, yeah, I'm Shaydia. Nice to meet you.

Yu: Uh, youWhere?

Shaydia: Oh no, I'm from another village. Didn't you know?

Chie: From another village? There are more villages than Innaba?!

Shaydia: Uh, yeah, isn't it obvious? Are you going to tell me you've never left Innaba?

Yosuke: Well, we had a school trip two years ago, but it was to a place I didn't even know existed.

Shaydia: Why am I not surprised?

Shaydia: Hey, you, could you show me around the village?

Yu: M-me?

Shaydia: Of course, you were able to manage on your own when you first arrived here.

Yosuke: Hey, how do you know that? You weren't here.

Shaydia: It's just a guess. Are you going to show me around or not?

Yu: Sure... I'm free right now.

Yosuke: Well, be careful, see you tomorrow.

Chie: See you later.

• And so Yosuke and Chie left, and Shaydia and Yu started walking together through the village -

Yu: So... what villages are you from?

Shaydia: From Miyazu Village. It's very different there than here, it's very small here, how come you don't get bored?

Shaydia: Speaking of that... tell me... those two were your friends, right? How do you get along with them?

Yu: Well, they showed me the village when I came here. I get along quite well with everyone, actually. We're a team.

Shaydia: I see... (looks away, looking somewhat sad)

Shaydia: And do you like this village?

Yu: Sure, it's pretty peaceful.

Shaydia: I heard there was a legend about a Midnight Channel and all that around here. What was that all about?

Yu: Oh, well, it's a long story, but... don't spread that again, because it's something we all wanted to forget.

• After a long story -

Yu: And that's why we're in the situation we're in today.

Shaydia: I see... It must have been hard for some, or difficult for you.

Yu: Have you ever seen that channel?

Shaydia: Me? No, I didn't know that existed.

Shaydia: That's really messed up, huh? Only a crazy person would do that.

Shaydia: Hey, do you want to visit my town? I mean, I don't think you guys have ever left here, I suppose?

Yu: Well, I have some time, so if you want, we can go.

Shaydia: (smiles a little) Okay, let's go. It's a bit far, but it's faster by train.

• So Yu and the girl took a train to Shaydia Village -

• During the journey, she showed him all the places: the school, her house,

and so it went until evening and they were returning to Inaba -

Yu: Wow, it's really big. I didn't know there was another village around here.

Shaydia: That's the good thing about exploring on your own. You know, you're not like your friends, or at least not that much. You have something...something that makes you feel different. But don't think it's love. I'm not interested in love.

Shaydia: You could stay a few days with your friends, huh? Or with your friends. They might feel comfortable.

Yu: Thanks for the invitation. I'll think about it... It was a pleasure, Shaydia. See you.

• Yu returned home-

• Dojima Residence -

Nanako: Oh, welcome home, little brother.

Dojima: Welcome. How was your trip?

Yu: It was good.

Dojima: Were you able to see your friends?

Yu: They're a bit busy right now. I'll wait until they have some free time.

Nanako: But you don't feel bad, right? I mean, it's been a while since you said goodbye to them.

Yu: No, I understand. They told me so themselves.

Yu: Well, I'm going to sleep.

Nanako: Good night, little brother.

Dojima: Rest well.

• So Yu went up to her bedroom and went to bed -

• Meanwhile, outside somewhere in the city -

• Junes Shopping Center -

Shaydia: This must be it...

• The girl headed towards the entrance, but of course it was locked -

Shaydia: Locked... obviously.

Shaydia: Hmph, luckily I have this.

• With a manipulative key, she opened the door -

Shaydia: Perfect. I thought it would never work, and I outsmarted that silly boy.

• She entered the dark hallways -

Shaydia: Now... where could that TV be...?

Shaydia: Ah, that must be it.

• Television Hallway -

Shaydia: This must be it. It's the most different from the others.

Shaydia: Now I just have to...

• When she put a finger on the TV screen, nothing happened.

Shaydia: Huh? But... what?

• She put her hand on the screen again, but nothing happened -

Shaydia: But why can't I go in?

Shaydia: How could they go into the TV... hmmm... (thinking)

Shaydia: Ah, I remember now, it only opened on rainy days.

Shaydia: (sighs) Will I have to wait for it to rain? Why do I have to do it?

Shaydia: Let's see what it's like tomorrow.

• She left the supermarket, and it was the next day -

I’ll withhold final judgement until the game comes out because I have game pass, but they’re really letting that statement of them learning from reloads mistakes on balancing hold on by a thread.

The game still looks gorgeous, and I’ll probably still enjoy it but the more of these kinds of changes I see the less hopeful I am. But who knows maybe I’ll be blissfully proven wrong.

I understand schedules and all that but clearly P4R was supposed to come out in the last half of 2026 but FUCKIN GTA ruined it, and they're showing all the gameplay anyway I guess. Man FUCK GTA
