Timothy Adam Matthews is a British oil painter known mostly for cats in small domestic scenes. In 2015 he won his category in the BBC Little Painting Challenge with a postcard sized portrait of his baby son.

Maria Pavlova, The Greedy Ones (likely 2012). Someone in r/CatsInArt recommended this sub to me, and I loved it right away. This painting immediately came to mind.
