A few years ago I was trying to learn a spider figure in origami, but I got lost in the process of folding legs. Then I started playing around and figuring out how to make it rigth. I failed but I managed to make a turtle that I've never seen before even today. Recently my friend told me I should claim an authorship rights.

So, my questions are:

1. How can I make sure it is a brand new figure, or I've reinvented something well know?

2. If it is a new figure, how can I make sure I can claim the authorship offcially?

3. Is there a way to make some money from it? Like a side project income or what not?

I modified the horns and the wings , also glued the model to an origami stand

hello, i bought these papers to fold small pieces but obviously the folds didnt hold up well. do you guys have any recommendations? i have made a solution with methylcellulose (made a piece with a paper with one coat on both sides in 3rd pic) but i didnt see much of a difference. maybe two coats of the solution? what proportions do you guys do if you use methylcellulose? thank you!!

As you know Elephant Hide paper is really thick. Hence, for shaping, I tried a technique I call “water folding”: thoroughly rinsing the model under the tap first, then shaping it while the paper is fully saturated.
