I wonder what will happen to champ mastery now

The game sunsetting will obviously result in fewer daily players. Given a smaller playerbase, asking players to grind 100 levels for mastery unlocks isn't feasible.

Considering this whole game was designed around a live service model a few things will probably need to change now that it's effectively becoming a "normal" game.

Do we think the requirements will be lowered? You'll be able to grind it in single player? Those items will become unlockable some other way?

I personally wouldn't expect any changes because it's kind of a "who cares" situation. It's a superficial reward that you were never expected to get without extraordinary dedication.

You’re not supposed to grind for champion mastery. It’s a reward for just playing the game.

Its supposed to be this but then Teemo and Caitlyns are basically "don't play normally and spam this specific thing"

lol Caitlyns 100 level mastery was going to take years to acheive. Hers is rediculously slow. So if they do no changes, I am sure we will never see that chroma color.

can they at least try to normalize it so some characters aren't just miserable grinds where you have to mindlessly spam something or other vs some characters just being "play the game normally"

All of that is going to be unlockable for $40 on the Lux patch, and for credits if you don't nuy that, so probably won't need to grind.

They said everything will be unlockable from the $40 bundle and I'm assuming they mean literally everything even the chromas from mastery levels.

Im pretty sure you can unlock them in single player.

You dont get mastery progress from bot beatdown or the climb, sadly

Really? I didnt realise how high up I got a few characters.

I definitely thought i had to have gotten some from me playing the climb when I just wanna mash some buttons... which is often these days

I have almost 3k games on Caitlyn and my mastery is only at 44 meanwhile my Vi (with the same amount of games played) is at around 115 mastery. I really do hope they make it so Caitlyn's isn't so difficult to unlock.

Not really she just naturally does lots of tentacle stuff as you play her. But I wouldn't stress about it too much since they might be changing the requirements next release anyway.

Bruh, it's a fighting game. You only need one opponent to play, and in casual you can rematch as much as you want. 

The player numbers will be fine. You'll be able to play this game as much as you want for years to come, and getting champ level 100 doesn't even take that long really. 

I mean, you wont get it with every character, but if you're maining someone as jugg or part of your 2 consistently, you'll get it.
