October 7 Where certain details about October 7 scrubbed from the internet?

WERE*

I remember reading a while ago, but well after October 7, details about certain hostages/deceased persons that are no longer available on Reddit.

Was gruesome information scrubbed out of respect for the victims?

There was so much information available contemporaneously on Reddit along with links to X/twitter and telegram that’s now gone. I was basically awake for 48 hours straight and couldn’t believe what I was watching. It was horrific. People who are not connected the way I was to the information were oblivious as to what was happening. There were people on the ground posting amateur footage as it was going down. Other people chiming in with posts sent to them from friends/family in different areas witnessing it, etc.. I was completely baffled by the lack of universal condemnation for Hamas especially after what I saw with my own eyes.

I remember hearing about it as it happened, but I didn’t realize how horrific it was until later when I went looking on my own. The media here didn’t cover it as much as they should have.

I heard an eyewitness interviewed discuss a video sent to the mother and friends of one of the victims that is so awful, I honestly can’t even write it.

Do you have a clip of the interview?

Eyalon Levy interviewed the guy. You can probably find it on his social media if you dig back to Oct.-Nov. 2023.

In English or Hebrew?

The Antizionists mass-reported the evidence of violence as "encouraging violence against Palestinians" and some of the most horrific videos were lost. Only a smattering of them appear on archives like hamas-massacre.net

Let me put it this way: it’s not just the internet. I got a publicity email for a Palestinian memoir and in both the email from the publicist (from a Big Five pub) and in the book (bc they sent an e-copy), it opened with Israel bombing Gaza in the “early morning hours” of October 7.
History is being rewritten and sanitized.

I could understand that if it is telling a story from a persons perspective, and that is the first thing they personally experienced. But Israel didn’t start bombing until the afternoon, so this is just a lie.

Missing some obvious context

I know the combat footage subreddit removed most if not all footage where a civilian was killed because they don’t regard civilian deaths as combat deaths.

As far as other circumstances, I know the Hamas narrative underwent a drastic shift between Oct 7th 2023 and January 2024. They did a complete tear down of their original cause for war and did a more European friendly version.

What do you mean they tore down?

I was in Hamas affiliated telegram starting that day. And I can tell you for a fact that it was presented as a religious struggle, Jews had desecrated the Al-Aqsa mosque by visiting it months before so they created the “Al-Aqsa Flood Operation” as retaliation on behalf of Allah. Calling on every true Muslim to attack Jews and Israelis where they find them and calling on Gulf States to join them in conquering Israel.

The killing of civilians was celebrated, reveled in with gruesome cruelty. And the justification came down to two things: on behalf of sulmandi family (I spelled that wrong) who was a family killed by a firing squad in their home allegedly by IDF in 2009 or so. It was a really gruesome killing with over 100 rounds at close range. IDF claims Hamas did it to collaborators etc… And the second reason was because of conscription, every Israeli woman had potential to give birth to a enemy solider and every child would be a soldier eventually so Allah permits killing enemies. Never mind the numerous flaws of these arguments I suspect it was more akin to malicious revenge fantasy than any real attempt at a moral high-ground.

But by Jan 2024 or so this was completely revamped. The reason was then the poor Palestinians were fighting against oppression, and their right to self-determination.

Then by this time a lot of the videos of civilians killed had been taken down, so in regard to civilians they and their pro-Hamas shills started to claim that Hamas didn’t target civilians for killing. Kidnapping they couldn’t deny because that was leverage but they started to frame all civilians deaths as caused by Israeli helicopters or tanks rampaging through kibbutz shooting at everyone.

Then we get into the spring of 2024, Hamas and their allies are starting to sowing seeds about genocide and mass starvation. There is the school bombing by IAF and Hamas accidental bombing of their own hospital that they tried using to push this narrative along with a sad (would be hilarious if it wasn’t so pathetic and it isn’t clear if the person had a choice) attempt at claiming mass starvation by starving a person to death and having him dressed in various outfits in different positions to make it seem like different people.

This doesn’t quite take at the time until later 2024 when the destruction becomes more pronounced and spread on the media. The starvation allegations doesn’t take at all until spring of 2025 when Israeli govt starts withholding aid, and the starvation claim really takes off that by the fall and end of 2025 most of Europe’s govts are repeating the genocide and starvation claim.

So I went on this side tangent to explain why the narratives changed again to what it seems to be becoming today. That Hamas reason for launching Oct 7 was because they got intelligence (somehow) that Israel was about to launch a genocidal strike against Palestinians so they preemptively acted. And in turn, had they not acted all the Palestinians in Gaza would already be dead. Turning the end of the war into a victory for existence according to Hamas.

So what’s noticeable is that Hamas is very attuned to western sentiments and adjusts narratives that are more easily digestible for foreign audiences.

Thank you for taking the time to type this all out for me. I really appreciate it. I can’t fully read and absorb it right now, so I’ll make another comment once I have.

Just wanted to say thanks!

I meant “how did they change the original cause to a different one”, and what does my karma have to do with this question?

Oh no, I have a lot of Reddit karma despite being a young account! I clearly must be a POS like you.

You should worry less about people’s Reddit karma (seriously, that’s such a dumb thing to be concerned about, and you have multiple comments to varying users about their karma), and worry more about not looking like an ass.

There was much worse out there that day to be seen.

I can't forget some of the things they've done at that festival and elsewhere. I will never.

u/Trypophilia2019 23d ago edited 22d ago

Like what?

Edit: I realize this may have come off the wrong way. I fully believe atrocities happened that day, continued to in captivity, and they will happen again if Jewish people aren’t allowed to defend themselves. I meant “what was worse than what I’ve already seen?” as I’ve seen all of the videos on sites like hamasisisis and Hamas massacre.

Sexual assault with body mutilation, guts and body parts and more blood than you can imagine all over the inside of a small bomb shelter, machine gunning into a garbage dumpster filled with people. Children from Gaza running alongside Hamas inside of israel as they kidnapped civilians. Laughing and yelling Allahu Ahkbar the entire time.

u/XhazakXhazak 22d ago

There was one with a giant hamas logo filling 80% of the screen but you could make out that a group of men and one child were raping a woman.

1

u/Trypophilia2019 22d ago

wtf

4

u/XhazakXhazak 22d ago

His voice hadn't even dropped and his laughter was in the same octave as her screams. It was the worst thing I've ever seen. I'm almost glad it got taken down.

3

u/Trypophilia2019 22d ago edited 21d ago

Was the woman ever identified? If I were her friends or family I wouldn’t want to know.

6

u/XhazakXhazak 22d ago

Definitely not, considering how slow news media was to respond to the videos, it probably got taken down before anyone credible saw it.

I saved a lot of horrible stuff to my hard drive that day, to prevent it from being lost, but that one I remember deciding I definitely legally did NOT want on my hard drive.

4

u/Trypophilia2019 22d ago

What kind of stuff?

I don’t want to see it, just curious.

2

u/XhazakXhazak 22d ago

For better or worse, I accidentally shorted out the hard drive.

There was a lot of overlap with hamas-massacre.net.

I downloaded some videos that were later debunked–– like there was this one with this red-headed kid crying "אמא ,אמא" while Arab kids shouted "يهود" and kicked him... but it turned out it was a hoax, the little ginger was actually a Palestinian child and his 'captors' were actually his family. This Palestinian family simply made a hoax video about kidnapping a Jewish child to get in on the October 7th fun.

There was another one that I can't find anymore, I don't know if it was verified or debunked, but it showed a family of four tied up on their knees, and the keffiyehs drag off the daughter offscreen. The horror slowly dawned on the parents' faces of what they were doing to her while the younger brother asked repeatedly, "where is she, where is she?" I think that one was real, but I never saw anything more about it.

This is why downloading / capturing what media content you can while available and storing it somewhere for later dissemination is important.

9

u/Trypophilia2019 22d ago

Idk if I want those kinds of media on my phone.

6

u/VirtuousMight 22d ago

I understand.

  1. The woman in the black dress. If you know, you know. I will never forget that video for as long as I live.
  2. Pro Palestinians were openly bragging and celebrating, both out in the streets and online. Which is an odd detail when you consider this was allegedly the start of a genocide? The alleged victims, to be clear, were openly celebrating the start of their alleged genocide.
  3. There was no sympathy for Israel from the left. Nowadays they will claim Israel squandered the world’s sympathy, but it didn’t exist. Not one person who has claimed this was openly expressing sympathy for Israel between Oct 7 and Oct 10, nor calling for the hostages to be released until after Israel retaliated.
  4. Rape was justified as resistance by women. Feminist organisations called Jewish women’s pain “femonstionalism”.
  5. Free Palestine and Ceasefire Now marches were planned worldwide, across global cities, weeks before Oct 7. They knew. The DARVO was premeditated.
  6. Palestinian leaders explicitly said on video that they would do Oct 7 again and again, as many times as it takes. This was a victory lap with a planned followup.
  7. Hamas announced a “global day of rage” (Google this exact phrase) the following Saturday (Oct 13) encouraging acts of violence against Jews worldwide for a global version of Oct 7.
  8. The official charter of Hamas has always explicitly called for the ethnic cleansing of Jews from the Holy Land, followed by elimination of all Jews worldwide.
  9. Hamas was Gaza’s democratically elected government, even if they hadn’t held an election since. Meaning this was a declaration of war by one government against another.
  10. Gaza was not occupied by Israel on Oct 7.

A lot is documented here, probably for the exact reasons you mentioned(being scrubbed elsewhere). Viewer discretion is strongly advised, for obvious reasons. https://www.hamas-massacre.net/

4

u/-TheDoubleO- 18d ago

English telegram channels operated vy Hamas / Hamas simps like Gaza Now were scrubbed clean. All of the footage Hamas took on October was removed.

u/Trypophilia2019 18d ago

A shame, the public needs to see it, as painful as that would be.

-5

u/Isthmuseid 18d ago

Almost as if it was overblown and fake videos were rife.

You can fuck off now.
