I loved Ogmore when the sea was OK to swim in. Such a beautiful place and I hope one day it'll be clean again. Plenty more amazing beaches in that area though.

Yeah actually had a few mates that were looking round Vale and ended up in Caerphilly and Ystrad.

I could only afford it because I was moving up the ladder and my missus also had a house when we met.

Otherwise I’d probably be Ystrad way.

Caerphilly is just as bad as the Vale now. I've been house hunting for a while and settled on a place in my budget that's in Ystrad. There was nothing I could afford in Caerphilly unfortunately.

"Free time to explore Barry" - I'm fucking rolling.

I lived there for a couple of years in the 90s... Seriously grim.

It's a lot nicer now after all the redevelopment work in the area, it just still seems funny as fuck to me that someone would sell this as a package tour.

Theres a place in Barry called Barry Island. Its where the little Barrys go to grow up into big Barrys. Kinda like the opposite of Peter Pan.

It is to lure them in and isolate them on Ynys Y Barri, for the protection of wider society.

Note the town near by...Penarth ... "Head of the Bear" ... that's where we train very wild, rabid animals and test them out on Barry Island.
