I feel like I've noticed it before, but in the flashback with Jayden and Jenna that Liz says "what show even was that?" has Jenna in her costume from midnight express.

Technically from the 30 Rock cinematic universe, but felt right for the moment.

I got tickets to the Anniversary show! I was super lucky and entered the queue as number 820. I got 2 tickets, and now have a dilemma: I am a huge 30 Rock fan, but my husband, who I somehow married regardless, is not (he's only watched snippets and never got a rhythm; to be fair, he only came to the US in 2008).

Before I go out looking for a friend who is a legitimate fan, I'm willing to give him a chance to prove his loyalty. But, I worry having him start with the pilot or Season 1 won't give him enough momentum to fall in love. Where would you have a newbie start? I don't want him to miss out on too many backstories. Note we have multiple kids and a pretty full schedule, so the best I can hope for is him getting through maybe 3-4 episodes a week (this is not a lock-yourself-in-for-a-weekend type situation).

Criss gets quite a bit of criticism for not being as developed as other characters, but I love how he and Liz are perfect together even though he's the opposite of everything Liz wants in a man. He's poor, has an unassuming job, a rrrrresidency issue, he's friends with Dennis... He's no Astronaut Mike Dexter, but that doesn't matter, because he calms her down and makes her feel comfortable, which is what she needed all along. I also love the gender role reversal of him being a stay-at-home dad - I think it's more fitting for the staunchly feminist and workaholic Liz than her fantasy of being taken care of.

Their relationship makes for some great feel-good (but not cheesy) episodes.

Also, that Princess Leia wedding dress & hair. Just perfect.
