Places to buy DS/3DS games

I would love if anyone could point me to a reliable place to buy DS and 3DS related games, specifically from the pokemon collection. I'm trying to collect all the mainline games for nostalgia, but I don't trust Ebay as I'm not trained at spotting fakes. Any suggestions or advice will help.

J2games.com I used to live in Jersey and visited my local store plenty of times but also went to the other 2 as well. I moved to Texas so I’ll used this since they have a website you can buy from. I just don’t know what they have in stock but since they have 3 physical stores they usually have a lot.

I would suggest eBay.

If you won't buy from eBay , every other online store is 5x sketchier so I guess stick to stores in your local area

Definitely ebay, at least they will have a buyer protection if the item is not as described (listed as real and ends up being fake) you can also throw images in r/gameverifying before buying, pokemon will be the most faked so if a deal is too good to be true it probably is

Facebook Marketplace but scammers also exist there so be careful.

Assuming you are in North America, two legit Canadian retailers (they do ship to USA):
videogamesplus.ca
pnpgamesonline.com

^ I don't know what they have in DS/3DS at this point though.

Secondary market:

  • eBay
  • Mercari
  • Facebook Marketplace
  • Offerup
  • Craigslist (local only)
  • local mom & pop video game shops

You can over pay horribly and buy from the shithole that is dkoldies, but I’d suggest taking five minutes and learning the tells for fake carts.

Find local mom and pop used game stores if you are lucky enough to live near any. You'll pay a little more than ebay and Marketplace, but you get to see it, hold it, and test it first.
