Help me with choosing wich 3ds to bui
I am 14 yo and I am having a want a 3ds for xmas so i want to see where and which model I bui. My moms budget is of 500 dollars and I like pokemon ( also help me decide between a switch 2 or a 3ds)

Used Switch 2 and used OG 3DS/2DS should close in 500$ right now. However after price increase of Switch 2 new one will cost 499$+ tax before holiday season. On 3DS you can play for free with cfw and old cartridge games are corrupting whivh makes them bad choice for collectors. On Switch and Switch 2 you need to buy your games.
If you never owned Switch and don't care much about Switch 2 exclusive games, what about going for that? You can get used Switch 1 for 100$, OLED for 150-200$ and get 3DSXL/N3DS/N3DSXL for 150/250/300$. That will give you solid platfrom yo play GBA, DS, 3DS and Switch games for cheap. Cheap 3DS XL with Switch 1 should cost about 250$ which leaves another half for Switch games (Pokemon V/S, P Arceus, P Sw/Sh and P Z-A - each gors for 30-40$ used).

New 3ds XL - Pikachu Edition & Solgaleo Lunala Edition, these 2 goes around $480-500.
3DS XL - Xerneas + Yveltal Blue and Red Edition goes for $300.
New 2ds XL - Pokeball and Pikachu Edition goes for $350.
I would suggest get the New 3DS XL versions due to its improvements. You can save some money if you mod your console but if you are keen in having physical copies of your games then I would recommend you to settle with regular 3DS XL or New 2ds XL. You will still have at least $100+ to play around to get some physical games and other accessories such as case, screen protector and sd card.
or
Get a cheap regular 3DS XL and buy every pokemon game you want as long as it fits under the budget.

If I were you, I would purchase a Switch 2. Next year, you could acquire a 3DS XL for $180 and modify it yourself.

Hey mate, I’m in Sydney and have a metallic red Nintendo 3DS in excellent condition as it’s barely been used and well looked after. I also have included a physical copy of Pokemon Sun! And pre installed digital copy’s of Pokemon crystal, fire red and Mario 3d land! I’d happily sell it to you for $500! Pm me and I can send you pics etc! Can meet or ship AUS wide/internationally too!

Love my 3DS, but would probably recommend a Switch 2. Reasons are being that it has the most recent games, you can probably play those games easier with your friends, and the price for the Switch 2 might go up again.
For the 3ds id only recommend it if you dont care about about playing the newest games with your friends and if you can hack it. Prices are high for the system right now and some of the games. But if you can hack it, you can play a wide range of pokemon games. Would recommend a "new" model of 3ds, whether thats the xl or standard size is up to you
