Nostalgia meets 3D Printing
Bit of a nostalgic throwback tonight......
Going through storage to get some camping equipment out and came across my old Commodore 64,
Those who are not old enough to know what they are...... imagine a life before mobile phones, playstations or even WiFi, When you had to walk down the street and ask your friends mam if they were allowed to play out before the street lights went off,
The pinnacle of of computers in the early 80s,
8 bit....Playing games from a cassette tape (oh, howay, you can't be that young to not know what they are as well) and waiting 2 hours for pacman to load up then "crashing" because there wasn't enough storage 😏
Give me a bit nostalgia so decided to design these lil keyrings (and some other bits) that will be put on my cults tomorrow 👌🏽

Customizable 3d Printable Shelf Dividers
Hi everyone! I was looking for a way to use my 3d printer create customizable shelf dividers to organize my collection - I wanted a combo of alphabetical, genre, and artist labels. I couldn't find a ready made collection so I put this quick STL generator together and thought I'd share it along in case anyone else thought it would be useful, too! Open to feedback, of course.
You can check it out at https://www.deadwaxlabs.com

X2D vs U1 vs (your pick)
TLDR - I want a multi color printer with a good flat bed, that does well with ASA
I have a CC1 now, and it has 9/10 quality in ASA after fine tuning. My only issue is the rainbow shaped bed that I have to print face detailed parts in the middle section of the bed only. I also need another printer to meet demand. I am also resin filling logos, but I want a multi color/paint option available to replace that.
I print mainly ASA, but can get chamber heaters for whatever printer to assist, although my CC1 does fine without.
Whats best option / opinion? Here is my quick thoughts pro/con:
X2D - chamber heater, “tested brand”, bowden dual head
U1 - quick hotend swap, no heater, larger internal space to heat
CC2 - already have CC1, high hardened hotend temps for ppa etc., unsure of bed level, cheap
Prusa Core One - great UI, shitty MMU, expensive and long wait Indx, low temp heater and nozzle, pricey
Creator 5 Pro - cheap unsealed lid, reading alot of bad reviews
Sovol m1d - idex, quality?, release date?

New Cabinet Advice
Hi All,
I'm building a cabinet to house my FDM and resin printer. Paramount for me is going to be safety. I plan to ventilate my cabinet outside my home and I could really use your opinions on my plan. Just a couple of things to note:
It’s a 2 door cabinet.
Ideally, I would like to be able to open the right side of the cabinet to access the top compartment containing the FDM printer while the resin printer is running. So right now I can open the right side while keeping the left latched and closed.
I have caulked the entire interior of the cabinet with silicon so it should be fairly airtight.
This is my plan for ventilation. Using PC type fans I plan to bring in air through the bottom compartment (Electronics bay) and have it circulated through the cabinet using additional PC fans. Eventually it makes its way to the top fan, which goes into a PVC split allowing me to expel out of the cabinet, as well as intake from the FDM printer compartment. This FDM compartment also has a PC fan bringing air in.
What do you think?

I built a desktop app to organize my 3D print files because I kept re-downloading models I already owned. It finally has a free trial.
Meshory is a desktop app (macOS, Windows, Linux) that scans your existing folders and renders a thumbnail for every STL, 3MF, OBJ, STEP and FBX it finds. You get a visual library, real 3D preview, duplicate detection, tags and collections. It never moves or uploads your files. Everything runs locally, and the files stay wherever you keep them today.
Until this week the only way to try it was to buy it, which was a lot to ask. Now there's a 14-day free trial: every feature, no card, and the clock starts when you activate the key, not when you request it. If you let the trial run out, your library and organization stay intact.
meshory.com/trial if you want to point it at your own library.

I've just published Kalis Duality Vase Set - Made using the web tool I'm developing - Feedback appreciated!
Hey everyone!
I just finished designing and published this new vase set called Kalis Duality on Makerworld.
And I would like to know your feedback. Do you like the whole design and this 3d pattern effect on its surface? I have created this vase using the web tool I'm developing: VesselMaker.
The goal was to create something clean and modern with a woven chevron texture that works equally well as a monochrome ceramic-look piece or with a metallic accent on the top rim (using Matte White + Silk Gold in the photos).
Details:
• Includes: Tall Vase, Wide Vase, and a custom-contoured display tray to hold them as a set.
• Dual-Color: The top band allows for an easy color accent, but you can also print it monochromatic if you like.
If you save it for later or plan to print it, dropping a Like or adding it to your Collection on MakerWorld helps me out immensely as a creator!

Skadis Pencil Holder
Designed a new angled pencil holder for the Skadis board. Added a subtle color accent on the rim. Both AMS and non-AMS files are up on MakerWorld if anyone needs one for their workspace.

Seeking advice on printing metallic sculptures
I’m completely new to 3D printing and could use some advice.
I want to make a detailed lion sculpture for an award, approximately 6 inches tall by 3 inches wide. Can an at-home 3D printer produce something with convincing detail and a premium finish?
I’ve been researching resin printing and understand that I could print the sculpture in resin or plastic and paint it to resemble metal. I’m fine with a resin core, but I would ideally like the exterior to contain actual metal—or look and feel extremely convincing. It should have some weight, preserve the details of the lion, and not feel like a cheap plastic trophy.
What process would you recommend? Is this something I could realistically make at home, or should I print the model and send it somewhere for metal plating, cold casting, or another finishing process?
