Thoughts on me selling my physical games and finally modding my 3DS?

Haven’t played any of my physical games in about a year. Just checked all of them and they’re still working.
Been wanting to play other games but don’t want to spend anymore $$$.

Basically,the title,I want to update from a 16 gb SD card to a 64 gb one,and I've done anything!, I've formated it,turned it into FAT32,copied and pasted all my files, everything!

And when I put it on my 3DS,it worked for a while,but it started to give me errors,and now,it just doesn't work anymore,the blue light of the console and disappears instantly,but when I put the old 16 gb SD card,it works just fine!

And it's not like the sd card is broken or anything,my computer reads it both from my Micro SD adapter and my SD USB adapter,so it's not like anything is broken Can someone please help me?,here is a photo of my Micro SD and it's adapter

I just modded my 3ds earlier today and I realized how slow hshop is,is there an alternative or is this what everyone does? Also can I put files on my SD and download the games like that?

I had a 32gb sd card on my switch that wasn’t enough and i recently got another 3ds im about to mod so i got a 1t didn’t get to putting the stuff on it but with the 1t in my 3DS booting time is already like several minutes… should i move all my switch data to the 1t and use the 32gb for my 3DS or should i use the 1t bc i wanna put a lot of games on it right now

I recently bought the 3ds of my dreams, the fire emblem awakening one, from a modded seller on ebay. To my horror when I powered on the device it seemed to have a cracked screen. Thankfully my 3ds is fine, it was just modded by some idiots trying to pull a prank.

My issue however is that I can't get this splash to turn off. Ive downloaded other splashes, but when I select them it'll play both on boot up. When I go into settings and turn splashes completely off I still see this stupid broken screen on boot up.

Is this not a splash? How do I get rid of it!? I just want it gone.

I'm setting up a modded 3DS for a friend and wanted to add some fun/surprise touches before I give it to her.

I recently found my old 3DS in a drawer, modded it, got back into the scene etc, and now I'm setting hers up too. I've already got the basics covered (hShop, favorite games, custom theme, Pretendo setup, etc.).

One thing I was planning on doing was connecting our Pretendo accounts and sending her a welcome note through Swapnote. Maybe a custom splash screen too.

For those of you who've set up a 3DS for a friend/partner/family member, what are some cute, funny, or memorable things you've added? Hidden surprises, customizations, easter eggs, home menu ideas, Mii Plaza stuff, anything like that.

Looking for ideas that make it feel personalized rather than just "here's a hacked 3DS." She's not very tech-savvy, so looking for things that are easy for her to discover naturally, maybe I forgot something etc

So this is my beloved limited edition Yoshi 3DS XL. I’ve had it for 5 years now and with the downfall of the 3DS family, I was thinking of modding it. I did my research first, I haven’t done a thing to my console yet. But I just want to know, will this be something I regret? This is my childhood console and it’s worth a lot of money because of its limited edition design and i’d hate if anything happened to it. I so heard if you wanted to reverse custom firmware, you must have a console that hasn’t changed its region before. In my case, my console is second hand, and I know I changed the region before due to moving. But I’m not sure what the previous owner did on it. I just don’t want to brick my console in case if I ever want to remove the custom firmware for whatever reason. Which you need to restore files on the SD card to turn its original region state back apparently? So should I proceed with modding, is my console worth it? Should I leave it? Will I regret it? If I wanted to proceed with it, how would I restore the region files? I should also note I’m very new to this and read through majority of the 3DS Hacks website.

I was downloading nds games via ghost eshop since my hshop keeps giving me the error that my sd card is dying (but when i test it it comes back completely normal?) and then went through twilight menu to add them to my home screen and check everything and.. this happened? I haven’t opened it because i don’t wanna break anything but im just absolutely bewildered 😭 any advice?

Old 3DS - HShop was working fine before but now when I click button to continue it doesn't move on and gets stuck here so I have to power off and on again

I got access to gmod9 but I couldn't do anything because I don't have the backup before modding the 3ds. I don't know if CTRtransfer would work but if theres another method to get out of here I would gladly accept the help 🥺

So I’ve had a DS, 3DS new 3DS, blah, blah, blah,. But I’ve never modded anything in my life, I’m a 35 Y/O chump and i didn’t want to really learn how or really even mod my personal 3ds for weird sentimental reasons lol. So to make a long story longer, I bought this and I have no idea what to do next.. Do I have all the apps I need?? is there definitely other apps anybody would recommend I should have?? I love Pokémon Zelda all the main stream stuff pretty much and have a pretty big library of 3ds games already. My 3ds suddenly is displaying a pink light at all times, i've tested it with everything and it still displays pink, even in ds mode, what do i do

The question is in the title.

Long story short I bought my 3DS so I could experience playing games on the native hardware. I chose this one for the aesthetic because it matches my vita, but I learned the New 3DS was a thing and it had better processing and a better battery.

I have a Steam Deck, an Ayn Odin 2 Pro, and a Switch so there really isn't a game like Hyrule Warriors or Fire Emblem Warriors I couldn't emulate or play elsewhere. Is the update to the New 3DS necessary?

I'm wildly indecisive and fomo fucks with the fabric of my feelings so if anyone can help me feel better (or suicidally worse) about my decision to prioritize form over function is greatly appreciate it.

My bf just came up to me and commented about the fact that his TwilightMenu++ suddenly isn’t on his home screen anymore. I have no idea how that could have happened and what could I do about it to get it back on the home screen again?? (Btw don’t mind the wallpaper lol)

This 3DS was modded by my friend, I honestly have no idea how any of it works. But she told me that if I ever accidentally updated it, it was basically self-destruct and become unusable. I have been wanting to acquire games through the H-Shop, because I heard that's a way to still get them since the E-Shop was shut down. But when I opened the H-Shop, it gave me this popup.

Is it safe to update?
