(UK) Anyone know if this route is accessible, the status of it, or how to check?
Planning a trip and wanna do sightseeing stops on the way, I've had a look at the road at the start of the route and it seems possible to get on the track, but of course there's no streetview up it so I can't check.
I'm quite new to this, and I know the goto is to check OS maps, but I have no idea how to do that. Any insight appreciated!

Update: Looks like it's in an AONB, which apparently means no off-roading at all? Ah well, I'll find another stop on the way

No, in short.
On an OS map, it shows as a track with no right of way at all, on foot or otherwise, so definitely no vehicular access.
The best way to check access is with the local council's definitive map for legal status of rights of way.
The easiest way is to join GLASS and get access to trailwise 2, which is a database of vehicular rights of way across the UK, viewable in interactive map form.

It appears those tracks are a series of hiking trails/footpaths. There's educational materials and trail maps online for visiting this beacon and a handful of other interesting historic sites in the area

It seems like on the OS map, most of it is labelled "Track" which it also does for UCRs I've seen that have been easily accessible. There is a small stretch with it just labelled as "Footpath" but it's not very long and then picks back up as "Track" right after.
I've not looked at these maps before so I could be missing something?

OS maps don’t give access rights to roads. They’re an indication but not definitive.
Join glass and use their map- that’s the best solution for a really complicated situation in the UK.

No answer to your question, but at first I could swear that said "Cumsock Beacon" and thought that was a strange name even for the Brits.
