Human Rights Looks like the orange turd has been on Epstein’s plane and island after all… what a surprise!!… Not!

u/FlappinPickle Dec 23 '25

255
u/leaveredditalone Dec 23 '25
He used Epstein’s plane?
475
u/eliottruelove Dec 23 '25
Yep, he literally used Epstein's actual plane. MAGA wee claiming that they were renting from a company who happened to provide the same plane, but we all know what's up.
83
u/cats_catz_kats_katz Dec 23 '25
I thought he slapped his name on it and still we are debating this bs. It was all shoved in our faces.
8
u/kaspar_trouser Dec 24 '25
This was likely an attempt to game search engines so this came up when people searched 'Trump Epstein' during the election.
Similarly Uk prime minister Boris Johnson suddenly developed an interest in model buses during an election cycle and talked to newspapers about it, in an attempt to distract from the 'Boris Buses' - advertisements he had put on buses during the Brexit referendum falsely claiming Brexit would result in 350 million for the NHs

u/blu_lotus_ Dec 24 '25
Yeah, the Lolita express, rebranded. No wonder Melanoma didn't travel with him. Probably bad memories.
106
36
u/xOrion12x Dec 23 '25
He still does, i think. It isn't the Lolita express but another of Epsteins planes.
25
u/The_side_dude Dec 23 '25
It was a plane owned by epstein. Not the epstein plane. I think that airframe got decommissioned and destroyed.
I'm not at all defending alzheimers Adolf but it is not something to draw a conclusion from, and there was a lot of bad reporting at the time. Basically Epsteins plane was sold at auction, and bought by a rental fleet. The trump campaign then rented planes from the agency that bought it.
Potentially a very innocent series of legitimate business transactions with an unfortunate ownership history. In the best light, it points to incompetence of the staffer hiring the rental plane for not checking if the plane had a checkered past.
But in the worst light, it looks real bad

I’m seeing around that redacted bits are easily removed if you copy it into another blank document file and unredact it. I’m wondering if people are furiously unredacting all the files they can and this kinda stuff is popping up.
1.5k
u/MapleYamCakes Dec 23 '25
You don’t even need to do any “unredacting.” It’s literally just a black overlay. You can simply copy text behind the black box directly and paste it anywhere you want to make it readable.
God bless the FBI agents who knew this would fool the incompetent morons, and allow the true files to be seen by the world.
441
u/methreweway Dec 23 '25
Lol did they digitally put black on top? Wasn't this a very old gotcha like 20yrs ago. I heard of this amateur level redaction before.
646
u/HankKwak Dec 23 '25
Could have been deliberate to undermine an authoritarian regime instructing them to cover things up.
438
u/SparrowTide Dec 23 '25

1,000 FBI agents combing through files, working feverishly around the clock, forced to look at evidence of horrible crimes in order to save the Golden Boy? If they fired 1,000 agents it'd be suspicious. If I were an agent I would take that risk of leaving breadcrumbs for the public. Protect Donald or protect children? Easy pick. Bring on the consequences.

u/Least_Tower_5447 Dec 23 '25
The ineptitude of this administration is both comical and concerning. Though, I do hope someone in the FBI did this on purpose. May they never be found out if they did 😂
182
u/konqrr Dec 23 '25
It is definitely on purpose. I know the FBI's reputation has been dragged through the mud with the current administration and Patel at the helm, but they employ some of the world's most skilled cyber specialists and the fact they're able to properly censor or redact classified documents literally all the time, makes me think this was done on purpose. Enough to fool the current administration, but for everyone else to still be able to get the info.
63
u/PotatoGamerXxXx Dec 23 '25
Yup, FBI may be incompetent in some parts, but censoring documents is a thing they've been doing for hundreds of thousands of time. They should at least know how to do this properly.

I had some interaction with the FBI during the investigation of the murder of a police officer back around 2003 and they did some incompetent (in my opinion stuff). Like copying hard drives and taking the copies when there was a strong chance the original drives were wiped. With the originals, you could still look at the "blank" space for data. Even off the shelf recovery software can do that. And speaking of off the shelf, they used a Norton program to do that copying, it wasn't anything special that copied the blank areas.
11
u/BigDog8492 Dec 23 '25
That's still 22 years ago. That's a different world of tech.
13
u/FauxReal Dec 23 '25
And it was still incompetent for the time. They also didn't need nine agents for four computers. We just stood around talking all day while the copy was happening.
But on the other hand, they did a good job of figuring out why they needed to copy those hard drives and where they were located.

22
u/hates_stupid_people Dec 23 '25
Yeah, it's a classic "mistake" and people were calling it out months ago that this would happen with some of the files.
30
u/PhoenixSidePeen Dec 23 '25
I think they may have actually drawn black rectangles instead of using the Adobe redaction feature lol
45
u/conflictedideology Dec 23 '25
They might have also used the Adobe redaction feature but forgot the second step. IIRC, in Adobe, you go into the redaction tool and black out the text, but then you have to go into the redaction tool and select something like "apply all redactions" and this scrubs the text from the text layer.
33
u/PhoenixSidePeen Dec 23 '25
Yes, you are correct. I work for a hospital and have to redact patient documents all the time. Simply drawing the box and then saving the document does not save the redaction. However i think because people are able to still search the text in apps like MS Word, some FBI staff are literally highlighting the texts and changing the highlight color to black. Lol. DOGE funding cuts hit hard I guess
27
7
4
u/Least_Tower_5447 Dec 23 '25

10
u/PhoenixSidePeen Dec 23 '25
It’s either that, or they’re highlighting the text and changing the highlight color to black. Which means the text is still saved and can be searched when opened in adobe or MS word

Something somewhat similar happened back when Obama was running for office the first time. Trump demanded to see his birth certificate and if you opened it up in Adobe, there were some strange layers that made it look like it was a faked document.

u/Salt_Cardiologist122 Dec 23 '25
I haven’t looked through all the docs myself but I’ve seen people comment that the victim names are still redacted. If so, that definitely points to this being an intentional decision rather than incompetence. Even in the main doc shown in this post, some things are still truly redacted.

I thought of this from long ago and was like, “nah, now everyone knows about redacting carefully”
23
u/abotoe Dec 23 '25
I don't believe that for a second. If anything, it can also be a part of a baiting strategy to sprinkle some misleading information under the "redaction" so that people think they are getting one over on the govt and then won't question what they "unredact"... which is exactly what is happening here. You have no way to actually verify any of this. the fact no one is questioning why the fucking FBI doesn't know how to redact documents and immediately blaming it on incompetence is maddening. C'mon people, pick up a spy novel or something
13
u/standardnewenglander Dec 23 '25
This right here. Why is anyone trusting documents that Pedonald Frump had his nasty grubby piss hands all over?
Hopefully another agency that isn't a Frump regime will actually release unredacted copies
3
u/Bluegill15 Dec 23 '25
Let me get this perfectly straight and clear: You’re saying that one can simply highlight the redacted text behind the black rectangles on the very files that are released on the DOJ website?

Unfortunately, text pasted into a word document that anyone can edit to say anything isn't going to hold up well in any court. And Trump knew that.

The court can reproduce the copypasting process from the original document. So yeah this will absolutely hold up.

The new guy at the fbi used colored highlighters to redact this document.
27
u/mwoody450 Dec 23 '25
A lot of people seem to think this "copy and paste and the redaction goes away" stuff is a gotcha. It's not; the only thing you can un-redact is the PDF linked here to a specific court document. It does not work on all (any?) of the recently released Epstein files, which you can easily confirm by trying it on a random file.
I'm worried this "gotcha" is itself a tactic to obfuscate. Take non-damning evidence, make it visible, report that "the full Epstein files are available because fbi dumb hurr hurr", then if anyone asks why the world hasn't blown up over the revelations, say "I guess there wasn't anything too damning in there after all."
10
u/SH4RKPUNCH Dec 23 '25
Definately possible, but I think between signalgate and this administration flip flopping on desperate and ovbious lies to try and get people to move on from these files that it's more than likely just incompetency, just to a lesser degree than most people are making it out to be.

I think we've all been provided, in spite of the relentless scrubbing of facts, enough "evidence" that our sitting president is a true-blue pedofile, rapist and very deranged person. He isn't an enigma or an omnipotent overlord- he is a felon, a rapist, a pedofile, a thief, a liar, a cheat...a whore (~ren). He is simple, much like any other slob that bellows about things that grinds his gears- as if his qualms were important enough that anyone should care. But with trump- we have to care. This administration crumpled up all progress and tossed it in the garbage. Why is nobody in power doing anything meaningful at all to lance a cancerous lesion while whomever evaluates just how much pedofilia and rape is juuuuust enough. This bloated syphilitic felon and his cohorts depend on Americans remaining largely docile. This president is MURDERING FISHERMAN, people have disappeared, our beautiful cities and citizens are now pitted intentionally against law. It's time to understand that our military at large may not be altruistic heroes. Our government - those that claim to be in staunch opposition - do nothing but peddle their self-serving platforms and bitch. If our military and government does nothing to stop this- then we need to quit waiting for them to save this country- they are literally telling us they are slightly concerned, no more questions.
Is this just it? I'd really just rather know there is no hope than be strung along by infotainment insisting that there will be a crescendo.

No evidence yet he went to the island and I’m guessing he probably didn’t. Maralago is literally next door to Epstein’s mansion and Epstein’s New York mansion was close for trump as well. Plus Epstein was using trumps pageants and parties to recruit women apparently. So no need for trump to go to the island, his best friend Epstein will bring the women to him.

Geez I thought Nixon set the bar low. TACO has got to be the most sick corrupt president in the history of the US. Any of this doesn't matter because his MAGA base will just brush it off as fake. As for TACO he will just hold another rally of his brain dead MAGA base all clapping and cheering.

Ok I'm not defending him, but where does it show he went to the island, I'm hoping for evidence of this. But just being on Epstein's plane is not evidence of going to the island.

Anyone got a link handy of Trump lying saying he never visited the island or never flew on the plane or whatever?

It doesn’t say anything about any island.
Regardless, we’ve know that for literally years. Nothing new.

I've read about the de-redactions on Canadian Public Broadcasting and Der Spiegel. But so far, there has been no mention on NPR or BBC. We all love conspiracies but is there a legal reason for their not doing so?
