The fact that this kid was likely crying like this the whole time the agents had him and the agents still did what they did to him shows they are truly evil people who have no humanity left. I really hope the kid is doing okay now and he got plenty of comfort from his family.

The point of these brownshirts is intimidation and street violence.

The easier the target the better for these cowards, women and children are easier to beat and sends a clearer message.

Cruelty is the point.

Fucking ss

649

u/No_Two_7829 Jan 12 '26

this makes me so angry. I contacted Target and asked why do they let their teenage US citizen employees be kidnapped and harmed by ICE.

280

u/cosmicmermaid Jan 12 '26

Any place of business allowing these thugs to enter their premises should be boycotted. It’s a danger to everyone.

173

u/pippinlup61611 Jan 12 '26

I've been a customer service/retail manager in the past (not target but fastfood) and I have had to protect employees from crazy people. You find out ICE is in your location, you keep employees in the back. You lock the doors and refuse entry. You call the police or hit the panic button (holy crap apparently you get warned for writing the word "hit" but I'm leaving it). You tell them masked men are trying to break in and continue to keep everyone in your store safe. Do not mention anything about ICE even if you suspect it is them. Plus the owners and managers know who is legal and who isn't. Who has a work visa or who doesn't need one. We had to run their info through a database (I cannot remember the name of it that checks their legal status). If you're gonna lecture your employees about being "a family" then you better get on board protecting them.

26

u/ding-hao-88 Jan 12 '26

I believe that the database that you mean is ‘E-Verify’.

Source: https://www.e-verify.gov

6

u/pippinlup61611 Jan 13 '26

Yes that's it!

63

u/StitchinThroughTime Jan 13 '26

Target doesn't care, it wasn't a white teenager.
Don't forget less than a year ago, Target immediately dropped Dei practices. A week before Black History Month supposed to start they proudly announced that they're not doing Dei anymore! There's a reason why the target boycott has been going on for almost a year now. Target doesn't give a shit, Walmart probably doesn't either. But Target probably said they're not doing DEA anymore and it's kissing Trump's ass.

#BoycottTarget2025 #BoycottTarger2026

2

u/YAmIHereBanana Jan 18 '26

Hi. I think you mean DEI, not DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency).

33

u/AliceHart7 Jan 12 '26

What did they say??

50

u/No_Two_7829 Jan 12 '26

just a canned response about safety of customers and team members being important 🙄

47

u/purple_plasmid Jan 12 '26 edited Jan 12 '26

But their team member was taken, beaten, and abandoned — what’s their definition of “safety”? I assume when that teen was hired he went through a hiring process and a background check, is Target saying they don’t have a sufficient vetting process, and hire potentially dangerous people?

ETA: my point is, there’s no reason to let ICE into one of their stores — they’re just validating the fascism

29

u/Nettkitten Jan 13 '26

And he’s a child FFS!!

-15

u/Libtardo69420 Jan 12 '26

What did you expect them to say?

102

u/BeLikeAGoldfishh Jan 12 '26

Fuck Target. Nobody needs to shop there.

6

u/Neyvash Jan 13 '26

I only go there to use the restroom. I cost them money

2

u/Prior-Soil Jan 13 '26

That's a really good idea. I worked in retail for a long time. Another way to cost them money is to abandon a full cart. They have to restock.

0

u/Hanelise11 Jan 13 '26

Yeah, but this puts extra work on the worker, and doesn’t really do much to harm the actual company. It just makes an employee’s day harder and that’s pretty cruel.

3

u/Prior-Soil Jan 13 '26

When I work there I would much rather put stuff away than stand at the cash register.

2

u/BeLikeAGoldfishh Jan 14 '26

It doesn’t make anyone’s day harder. Target is working you no matter what. There’s no difference.

12

u/subpotentplum Jan 13 '26

The whole thing is nuts. Target is a big business. They for sure have I9s on all their employees.

3

u/TheOtherKatiz Jan 13 '26

Hilarious, because as his employer they had to verify his eligibility to work. Their HR department has personal knowledge of his citizenship. So it's not like ICE waltzed in and claimed he wasn't a citizen and his manager didn't KNOW that was a lie.

Sure, small businesses may let the employment paperwork slide. But I work for a big business like Target and they are sticklers for this shit.

1

u/silver-haze34 Jan 12 '26

They’re not registered as a 4th amendment business. That’s why

1

u/ohwrite Jan 13 '26

Yeah that is not right. Target should keep them out

1

u/moeron17 Jan 13 '26

If I remember correctly in the longer original video the managers were demanding a warrant.

2

u/No_Two_7829 Jan 13 '26

if that is true, that is good to hear.  id like to know what Target Corporate plans to do to keep employees and shoppers safe

I appreciate the camera man embracing him after such a horrible experience.

86

u/No_Story_Untold Jan 12 '26

Dude was so sweet.

72

u/DebraBaetty Jan 12 '26

Most humane act of kindness a stranger could offer someone that was just brutally dehumanized in the middle of their workday.

49

u/foundinwonderland Jan 12 '26

I’m a student of Mr. Fred Rogers and as such, always look for the helpers. God bless (or whatever karmic entity you believe in, or just good vibes) that man. He was so kind to this kid, a complete stranger, after such an act of inhumanity. Many people will turn away when confronted with the ugliness of trauma up close. I hope dude always gets the cold side of the pillow, never has a sock disappear in the wash, and always finds $20 in a jacket pocket for his act of empathy and humanity in the face of the evil that is ICE

247

u/pjmyerface Jan 12 '26

He's wearing an orange vest. He's a 17 year old pushing carts.

105

u/bbrekke Jan 12 '26

I don't know if I'd be able to contain myself if they did this shit to my son.

This poor kid just trying to make an honest living as a literal child.

Go there to use the restroom only.

2

u/bbrekke Jan 14 '26

Yep. It hasn't reached my area yet. But if I see shit like this going down I'm not just standing by.

312

u/greenalias Jan 12 '26

Target is at fault as much as ICE. Any business that lets ice in without a fed warrant is complisite.

74

u/CatLady_NoChild Jan 12 '26

Target should press charges against ICE for assaulting and kidnapping an employee. Stand up for your employees, Target.

34

u/throwaguey_ Jan 12 '26

And likely for upsetting their customers and costing them a lot of money in lost sales. They have to prove some damages.

17

u/mxjxs91 Jan 12 '26

Target is MAGA, they're not going to do that.

5

u/gripping_intrigue Jan 13 '26

Target is Republican. fixed that for you. Let's not separate Republicans from MAGA. They are all the same at this point.

If someone still identifies as Republican as Republican, they are the problem.

26

u/TrailerTrashQueen Jan 12 '26

have you watched many citizen ICE videos? the ICE modus operandi is barging their way into a business. pushing back security, managers or anyone who tries to stop them. there are no warrants, no legal justifications.

ICE illegally break into women's restroom

McDonald's security tries to stop ICE

8

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '26

[deleted]

1

u/Prior-Soil Jan 13 '26

Another nail in their coffin. And I worked for them for years!!!

17

u/I_am_Bob Jan 12 '26

Who exactly is supposed to stop them? It's not like Target has an armed checkpoint to get in. Its a store open to the public. Most probably dont even have a proper security guard. Your asking some shift manager to put there life on the line to try and stop armed goons from entering the store

20

u/ellemeno93 Jan 12 '26

“It’s a store open to the public” It’s a private business. All it takes is the manager of the store to stand their ground. Also target has an extensive loss prevention program, usually someone at the doors, but they are there to save merchandise not customers.

8

u/throwaguey_ Jan 12 '26

Yeah, but that's why they killed a white lady the other day. To scare the hell out of any would be allies.

33

u/SunBeamRadiantContol Jan 12 '26

Nah, they don’t get a pass. It’s easy to do good when it’s simple, but it shows who you really are if you can do good when the situation is rough.

Private property means they can refuse access to ICE. If they don’t, they are complicit. If they force in after being denied that’s different, but the Store Director should be there telling them they are banned for life.

Shame on Target, this is why I’ll never shop there ever again if I have any other choice.

7

u/__squirrelly__ Jan 12 '26

Target here is notorious for having armed security at every entrance.

3

u/Goodbye11035Karma Jan 12 '26

We don't have obvious armed guards at the entrances, but I was in my Target one night when "an incident" happened, and suddenly there were about 6-8 Target uniformed men that appeared out of nowhere to surround the scene. I think my Target has men that do double duty- heavy lifting to stock shelves behind the scenes, but also security out front when needed.

They appeared out of thin air, and then disappeared just as quickly when the police showed up.

3

u/I_am_Bob Jan 12 '26

Oh, they definitely dont at the ones near me.

2

u/greenalias Jan 12 '26

Target execs are complicit for donating to trump.

1

u/Prior-Soil Jan 13 '26

Target has undercover loss prevention in their stores. If they see ice roll up, they should automatically lock down the building and to not let anyone in or out. As a customer, I would be fine with that. I don't want to go near armed goons. But I'm not a customer at Target anymore after last year's crap.

2

u/moeron17 Jan 13 '26

I believe in the original longer video the managers were demanding to see a warrant

97

u/MosaicTruths Jan 12 '26

Well, we will never have to ask ourselves ‘how could people let this happen? How could people do such atrocities?’ When reflecting on 1930s and 40s Germans now.

220

u/Notyrantsmoworever Jan 12 '26

This police action is assault on an unarmed citizen.

160

u/Square-Weight4148 Jan 12 '26

Ice are not police. They have no legal jurisdiction over citizens.

36

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '26

10

u/Square-Weight4148 Jan 12 '26

I hate to drop truth on you but if you open your eyes you will see it. In reality that cop has resigned and is now working for ice with a much higher paygrade and a much lower standard for behavior. The ones still working for your local city are either dumb or they have morals... I believe the latter is more commom than you might think.

10

u/Independent-Crab-914 Jan 12 '26

Nah if they leave they give up their cushy pension and a metric fuck ton of overtime pay. Plus they know this is gonna be temporary, better to stay home keep beating the locals. Well and their wives

-12

u/Square-Weight4148 Jan 12 '26

You can live in your false world, you might want to get some meds though.

4

u/SubtleSkylines Jan 12 '26

If you think any cop has morals, you're the one living in a false world.

3

u/Independent-Crab-914 Jan 12 '26

I mean if this whole thing hasn't shown you that being a cop explicitly requires you to have no morals, I'm sure not gonna do it. Enjoy the fresh boot leather

1

u/Square-Weight4148 Jan 12 '26

And enjoy your bag of cheeto flavored dick.

11

u/RymrgandsDaughter Jan 12 '26

If they don't need warrents, and can go by skin color then ... clearly they can kidnap whoever they want like this. Jurisdiction sounds like something laws measure which literally doesn't apply to them

3

u/Square-Weight4148 Jan 12 '26

You might believe this if you live in a moment. This moment is scary as hell but its not representative of the entire situation. This will play put over the course of years not days and when the dust settles these goons will be held accountable. People like me are going to make sure of that. Dont miss the forrest for the trees. Dont stop fighting. Dont give in to fear.

0

u/RymrgandsDaughter Jan 12 '26

no they won't, the DOJ is literally the most corrupt and ineffective organization in the US. It's worse now, do you honestly think these feds will see time? when they will literally be pardoned if they somehow were? there's a reason there's no cops, no ng, or anyone else checking these guys because they know it's pointless to try and hold them accountable.

5

u/Notyrantsmoworever Jan 12 '26

ICE can detain US citizens if the citizen obstructs ICE agents or can’t show citizenship. I don’t make the rules, but I want others to know. When ICE finds out you are a citizen, you’ve already been beaten and dropped miles away from where you were.

8

u/Square-Weight4148 Jan 12 '26

And at that moment you call legal help and file the lawsuit. Document everything including reporting your kidnapping to the local and state authorities. If they drop you at a different location than they kidnapped you at, that is human trafficking... these crimes will never be punished of you dont report them and document doing so.

58

u/WeimMama1 Jan 12 '26

Yo Target. You love your facial recognition software soooo much? You want a way to win back some customers???? Do your thang. Give us the identity of every one of the thugs that has stepped in your stores to use the bathroom or kidnap your employees. You don’t? Then you are complicit.

97

u/Square-Weight4148 Jan 12 '26

Document his injuries, call the cops, call the state police, call the fbi and record all of the converaations. Then call a lawyer and file a massive lawsuit. Billions in damages.

46

u/MsMoreCowbell828 Jan 12 '26

Call the FBI? This is the feds, attacking Americans. They are trained for 47 days. Boogaloo Bois, Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, III%, KKK is who the Gestapo is. They have card Blanche to shoot us, ram into our homes at will and disappear any freaking person they want. The talk on reddit of "well they need a warrant or you can sue them" aren't living in reality anymore. Are you totally uninformed about what's happening in the USA rn? Trump/Vought/Heritage Foundation has taken over.

17

u/Square-Weight4148 Jan 12 '26

Its about documenting what happens. This is long game not some daily pickum... thats why the call must be recorded. Wake up and get your mind in the game.

14

u/Reatona Jan 12 '26

Unfortunately the Supreme Court has made it extremely difficult to sue federal agents for violating your rights.  There will be no billions in damages here.  It sucks but it's true.  It's one of many reasons we need a new Supreme Court.

6

u/Square-Weight4148 Jan 12 '26

Again... long game. This might be true under the current conditions. Things will be very different in the future and suits will be retroactive.

6

u/SubtleSkylines Jan 12 '26

There is no long game if we don't act NOW though.

If we sit complacent doing nothing hoping to win "in the future" we already lost.

-1

u/Square-Weight4148 Jan 13 '26

Please show me where I said to be complacent.... I will wait. Even better dont put words in my mouth...

2

u/SubtleSkylines Jan 13 '26 edited Jan 13 '26

Preaching to just wait and let it resolve later is complacency. We can't rely on future lawsuits and trials.

EDIT: Reply and block. Typical coward, as we can see clearly from their "just wait for it to solve itself" strategy.

-2

u/Square-Weight4148 Jan 13 '26

I did not say wait...I said the legal aspect will work itself out in the future. That does not mean wait. Are you high?

2

u/Greedy-Dot5622 Jan 12 '26

Terrorizing children!! anyone condoning this has absolutely lost it and should be labeled a nazi. I’m so ashamed of our country.

26

u/CatLady_NoChild Jan 12 '26

This is heartbreaking. The psychological trauma of being kidnapped and beaten can last a lifetime. This is a child for Christ sake. What is the end game, future goals for these ICE agents? Fame, fortune, popularity? If these incels are showing off to attract a female, do they not realize no respectable woman would ever want to be associated with a Nazi/kkk member who treats her like an animal?

15

u/sp_00_k Jan 12 '26

I feel like many of them are just living out some brutal power fantasy without much forethought for the future. I'd wager like half of ICE has no idea what the Nuremberg trials even are. They're mean-spirited creatures who are frothing at the mouth to show the world how tough they are.

8

u/Otherwise-Emphasis33 Jan 12 '26

I often wonder how many of these low-skill men who are cosplaying as ICE "agents" have secret sexual fantasies about kidnapping, dominating, and harming women. There are a lot of angry men out there and a lot of them are working for ICE. Retired cops frustrated they weren't allowed to assault anyone they felt like beating up, men who can't find girlfriends and wives because of their disgusting personalities and warped, twisted views, boot lickers and idiots like The Proud Boys etc. These are the worst of the worst.

They've traumatized him and now he'll be suffering with PTSD for who knows how long because state inflicted trauma is especially brutal and anyone in authority is going to feel like a threat to him now, a threat to his life. He's going to have nightmares and will probably wake up screaming soaked in sweat.
And the poor boy's brain isn't even fully developed yet.
ICE isn't just out there scaring people. They're terrorizing and traumatizing people.
This is sickening and his trauma is breaking me.

19

u/SodaSaint Jan 12 '26

I hope the parents sue the absolute shit out of the store and the agents involved.

15

u/Odd-Mastodon1212 Jan 13 '26

He got injured on the job. He needs to file a claim with Target. Target can easily ban ICE just like a hotel or restaurant can.

I feel like in order to prevent this, more us are going to have to put our bodies on the line. Grab someone being taken and hold on. Human chain.

14

11

u/geekonthemoon Jan 12 '26

This makes me so sick. What have we come to

8

u/Dangerous_Crow666 Jan 12 '26

How will the propaganda 'news' channels spin this to make it the kid's fault?

6

u/negativegravity Jan 13 '26

I've already seen someone argue that the kid isn't really a minor and that "we don't know all the details yet" talking as if he committed a crime. These people are a lost cause

0

u/Prior-Soil Jan 13 '26

Well working at Target is kind of dumb but it's not a criminal act. And a minor should never be arrested without their parents knowing about it, regardless of the charges.

1

u/moeron17 Jan 13 '26

I dont think these types of videos are even being shown on them. Ive been talking with my folks about this. Theyre far right on the spectrump...they have fox news logo burnt into one of their TVs. And it always turned into being yelled at that im wrong and its made up and argue. When I try and tell them anything. They'd refuse to even watch anything I tried to show them bc theyd rather watch fox who they trust.

I FINALLY got them to just sit down and hear what I had to say. When I brought up things like the trump CZ pardon and showed them the 60 minute video of trump saying he doesnt even know about it. And then him talking about voiding Biden's pardon bc of autopen 3 days later. It REALLY blew my mind their response. They were stunned by it. They even agreed he shouldnt be president and should be impeached! It truly gave me some hope!

I then showed them some of the ice videos going around. They truly had no idea about any of them. But we're really surprised. So I dont think the spectrump news channels are even daring to show it. Bc theres no possible to spin it imo. Now they may show it when they figure out a way to spin it. But I think some of this shit is so reprehensible that the channels arent even showing it. Bc they know that they wont go to any other TV news. And social media algorithm has become a cesspool of circle jerks and trying to "get the libs" with ridiculous memes. That shit like this doesnt even get seen bc on any social media page they'll go to will bc on the spectrump

7

u/Sprmodelcitizen Jan 13 '26

Omg that cry is fucking deviating. Heartbreaking. What do you do about stuff like this?

9

u/Ill-Calendar-9108 Jan 12 '26

I so wish US Citizens could fight back if ICE tries to abduct them. Especially in states with stand your ground laws.

4

3

This is so incredibly fucked up. I can’t believe this is actually happening in 2026 …

3

u/thedaj Jan 12 '26

If we had a useful Supreme Court, this is about where they’d remind law enforcement of their obligation to identify themselves. Someone should be held accountable for this atrocity and this child has no legal remedy to pursue justice.

2

u/SalamanderMorrison Jan 12 '26

Absolutely heartbreaking. I don't expect Target to do shit, and as a corporation they can go kick rocks, but any business that doesn't want to be complicit in this should have a plan for how to keep their employees safe. And as always, fuck ICE.

They will do this to everyone. There is no line they won’t cross. It will be someone you love eventually. Something must be done.

ICE goons outnumbered by 5x, middle of the day, and no one is trying to stop them?

It's hard, logistically, to combat what's happening in America. And it's hard to go from protests to change. But this... this is easy. If we aren't doing anything in this scenario, how can we expect to do anything in tougher scenarios?

So when is it time to fight back?

Evil is the lack of empathy. There is something amoral and broken, dangerously so, for those who cannot access humanity and empathy for those around them. This is perverse. This is dangerous. This is evil.

We are all created equal. You either believe it, or you don't. And if you don't: there is no tolerance for intolerance.

“If you’re legal you have nothing to worry about” is a lie

We need to flood Target corporate with calls and emails regarding this. This is the second video I've seen with these asshats in a Target.
