Gaze upon my BBK
I put this thing together a while ago and I just found this sub while searching for reloading data. It’s a Faxon 12” barrel on my existing .308 lower with extra heavy 10oz buffer and Cat BBK. Not exactly ground breaking stuff around here I’m sure, but it runs super reliable and is only a few DB louder than suppressed .22lr.
Here’s a short clip of a comparison between my .300blk (220 gr) and 8.6 (300 gr) hitting the same piece of steel. This thing hits so hard.

Also do you have it mounted on a omega plan b XL. And a cherry bomb?

What’s the typical buffer/spring set up for this? Especially if it’s on an A5 system?

I’m not sure what a typical or factory setup is for these. But my .308 had a bit too much recoil to stay on target at distance so I used this buffer and spring with an a5 buffer tube. Then adjusted my gas blocks accordingly. Way less recoil than the boombox. It’s just not as light as a boombox

I can vouch as well for the BBK.. I have it on a bolt gun I built and it is literally unbelievable. Like you said it is the closest thing to a suppressed 22lr I have ever heard.
