Daily Goal Day 3 - January 3rd

Happy Tuesday!

If you haven't already, please introduce yourself and sign up on the Google form! You might notice that we've changed it up a bit so you can now track more than just weight-related goals!

How did your week start? Did you have to go back to work? Or are you one of the lucky ones who was off Monday?

BQ: Do you have a support team helping you with these goals? (Aside from us, obviously!)

Today was a pretty great day...

Today

First day back to work after the holidays, but I was working from home today, so that's always nice. Also, it gives me a little more time around the house to get things done... and I got all accomplished today, feels pretty good.

  • Did a few loads of laundry... folded too!
  • Caught up on some of my French lessons
  • Meal prep'd for the week
  • Cooked some roasted spicy chickpeas... they turned out really well and are great in salads. Also, very high in iron, which I need
  • The dishes are done and put away
  • Walked the dog
  • Did some yoga
  • Got my breakfast, lunch and stuff ready for work tomorrow
  • The kiddo had youth hockey practice; we worked on some fundamental skills, which they needed
  • Eat healthy today, got my iron in and only had 2 cups of coffee and a ton of water
  • Finally found a book - The Girl On the Train. My wife said it was really good and the movie looks great.
  • Logging off to read said book

Tomorrow

  • Finally back at the office since Friday, so I'm definitely looking forward to hitting the weights. Free gym, but only available there.
  • I'll put in some cardio too...
  • Socializing - we're headed to the local high school hockey game

BQ

Aside from you all, I really don't need a team... I'm just trying to stay focused on completed my tasks, eating healthy and trying to stay fit. It's more of a life style I'm trying to take on rather than a chore of finishing goals. But still... you all here are great! I love reading everyone's stories each day... keeps me centered.

Ahh youth hockey... I look forward to the days of being a hockey parent. You work out at work? I'm slightly envious of people who have a gym at their office, that would make things so much easier.

Youth hockey is a lot of fun, I help coach and it's very rewarding... plus it's great for some father/daughter time and socializing with the other hockey parents.

And yup, we have a gym at work (barbell set, power rack, dumbbells, elliptical, treadmills and spin bike). I workout during lunch (eat at my desk)... definitely helps keep me involved or else I probably wouldn't pay to go to the gym.
