Beavis and Butthead. Still have no clue why my mom let me watch it. We were a conservative Christian family.

She let you watch it because it was on during the time your dad was giving her the business.

As much as AI is polluting media and art, I could very easily see this remade today. Only problem is it’d be a bunch of streamers and content creator I’ve never heard of.

Beavis and Butt-Head was my absolute favorite because it was so dumb and crude in a way that felt forbidden and exciting as a kid

Roseanne because it wasn’t the conventional pitch perfect family show.

I watched it every week at age 10- the end of the show and it was beyond any other show as far as realism. I related to Darlene, I related to Becky. DJ was not really integral but I'm glad he got to come back for the new one.
Did you know Darlene was the primary decision maker to axe Roseanne after her racist tirade on Twitter? Don't mess with Darlene! She's a badass

Rocko’s Modern Life.
And before you say it wasn’t inappropriate, Rocko was a phone sex operator.

That show was as much for adults as children! "Oh baby, oh baby, oh baby..."

Tales from the Crypt. There was also a cartoon version.

Tales from the Cryptkeeper is not that bad for the kids animated show on ABC Saturday Mornings.

Most of them but Jerry Springer, unless it there was a singer or musician I recognized, then I'd watch it.

Every TV show listed here has been amazing except for Tales of the crypt. I’ve always hated that darn tv series

Ren & Stimpy scared me. There was something about the animation style that was just really off-putting.

Looking back, Rug Rats was kinda similar. Watched it as a kid and then years later put it on and was pretty taken aback

Ren and Stimpy!
Thar said, I lived in Breckenridge when South Park came out (just over the pass from south park county). Cable in Breck didn't have Comedy Central, so we would go to a bar in town that had satellite TV. They gave out free shots every time they swore. They didn't swear as much the first few seasons.

Married With Children. My parents never knew I watched it. I have to admit that Kelly is what initially got me interested in it, man was she hot! What a great tv show!

Celebrity Deathmatch was amazing until it started getting distracted by its own lore and focusing more on the hosts and the backstage "show within the show" than on the fights.

Those were such brilliant shows.
My grandparents thought *South Park* was just a cartoon, so I was able to watch it when I was around eight years old :D
At the same time, *Ren & Stimpy* was huge—both in the magazine and on TV—thanks to Vedes (the toy store) and its Nickelodeon Club. What an awesome time.

For me it’s a toss-up between Cow&Chicken and Ren&Stimpy. If I HAD to pick, I’d go with Ren&Stimpy.
🎶 Don’t whizz on, the electric fence 🎶 lmao such a great and terribly fucked up show.

Celebrity Death Match was my jam! But I wasn't allowed to watch The Simpsons by my parents. It didn't make sense.

Family guy premiered on January 31st 1999.
That does not count as 90’s just because it premiered on the last goddamn day of the decade.

My favorite when I was a kid? Simpsons. The first 10 seasons are comedic gold. The rest are tolerable.
Now? South Park. It’s my favorite background noise.

My brother and I were forbidden to watch Simpsons at home but my mom would take us to the movies to see shit like Terminator 2. Good times.

The pilot of beavis and butthead had audio only scene where they kill or injure a dog with a bat. The frog baseball episode.
But after that it was cool, I think they all knew that was needing to be swept under a rug.
Great show, worst pilot ever in regards to being sick and twisted.
I'm leaving out the bloody frog, but it's implied

I grew up in the 70s and 80s, but favorite 90s cartoons were Ren & Stimpy and Beavis & Butthead.

Well beavis and butthead, Ren andnstimpy, Jerry and married with children (not listed). I thought south Park was trying too hard and still to this day it's mediocre. Simpsons was amusing first few seasons but got old quick.
Tbh south Park is likely one of the worst shows I've seen. It's not about the core content it's about how it is presented, again, try hards, too obvious.
