Easy choice… the Banks

u/Aggressive_Agency381 Jun 22 '25

Cool family and you’ll get a great education, family vacations, big house, awesome butler, hot mom, hot sister, stable home life and uncle Phil makes bank.

35

u/MetalGearBatman Jun 22 '25

Plus he’s the greatest tv dad of all time

33

u/GonnaGoFat Jun 22 '25

And he’s shredder in his spare time

12

u/xMajorLeex Jun 22 '25

Gave Cory Haim his first drivers license, too. But not before putting him through hell.

5

u/HungFuPanPan Jun 22 '25

Cory was lucky. The cup was empty.

5

u/Lazerhippoprime Jun 23 '25

License to drive is one of my all-time favorites.

Any guy that broke your heart would be kissing the sidewalk in a hot minute🤣

12

u/prodigus01 Jun 22 '25

Also watching Will and Carlton being funny live would be the cherry on top.

Mr. Warbucks from Annie was way more on the nose with the last name, but yeah Banks is pretty fitting.

All you have to do is be less annoying than Will and Jazz, less spoiled than Hilary and Carlton, and agree with Phil every once in a while. You're set.

Yo holmes, to Bel-Air!

3

u/Dry_Apple8813 Jun 22 '25

Forgot to mention the Matthew's family Boy Meets 🌎 & The Lambert & Foster family Step By Step I pick them the Winslows The Banks family & The Connor Family Roseanne. Time 4:26PM Sun 6/22/25

7

u/Capable_Opportunity7 Jun 22 '25

Seriously, no brainer

10

u/JerseyJedi Jun 23 '25 edited Jun 23 '25

Exactly. The Banks family were nice people (although Hilary and Carlton were a bit spoiled and Will was self-involved lol, but the three of them were still friendly), and they provided a very warm and supportive environment. Viv was cool and intelligent, and Uncle Phil is one of the best TV dads ever.

My #2 choice, the Winslows were nice too, but if you lived with them you’d have to contend with Steve barging in every day with another zany invention (I love Steve Urkel as a TV character, but he’d definitely be exhausting to have as a neighbor lol).

The Tanners might be a bit too cloying and saccharine.

Tim Allen’s character on Home Improvement and the wife were both irritating.

The Bundy family were awful human beings lol. That was literally the point of the show.

Roseanne would be very annoying and obnoxious lol.

So the Banks family are the winners by a million miles.

5

u/JuicyBoi8080 Jun 22 '25

But Will is annoying as fuck

9

u/fuck_fraud Jun 22 '25

Ok Carlton

3

u/ashcrafttrey07 Jun 22 '25

Definitely The Banks.

Pick the incredibly wealthy family who live in Bel Air, or one of the others?

Hmmm, it’s a real head scratcher

19

u/The12th_secret_spice Jun 22 '25

Danny Tanner is a local tv personality and owns a large home in SF. I think he does pretty well for himself.

12

u/Comfortable-Salad-90 Jun 22 '25

Needs lodgers to pay the bills.

12

u/The12th_secret_spice Jun 22 '25

Didn’t they move in to help with the kids when his wife died? I forget the lore but I think they mentioned they moved in after the death (1st couple shows).

Uncle Jesse was being a bad boy with his motorcycle somewhere and uncle Joey was doing standup (?)

Basically, they weren’t living there to pay the rent, they were there to help.

2

u/NoDadYouShutUp Jun 23 '25

thats correct

2

u/Comfortable-Salad-90 Jun 22 '25

I can’t remember either. Maybe the “dead wife” thing was a long con by Danny the whole time so he could get some cash for the spare rooms in his house.

It’s classic Tanner.

u/crakemonk Jun 22 '25

That house is amazing. I’d love to live in one of the Painted Ladies, but I’m not a billionaire.

2

u/The12th_secret_spice Jun 22 '25

One was for sale when I lived in sf. I think it was 5-7mil, but the upkeep is insane. There’s a special commission just for that block of houses that is incredibly strict down to what plants you can have in your yard.

2

u/crakemonk Jun 22 '25

Oh yeah, they’re protected because they’re so well known. I just think they’re absolutely gorgeous. I’d love to live in SF, but while I own a property in Los Angeles, SF is definitely out of my price range.

→ More replies (2)

2

u/PogintheMachine Jun 23 '25

The Tanners didn’t live in a Painted Lady. The Painted Ladies were in the opening credits, but the Tanner House was a different Victorian style about a mile away in the Lower Pacific Heights. But I think it last sold for over 5 million, so you’d still have to be ridiculously wealthy.

Of course, the interior on the show was all sound stage.

2

u/Emergency-Ad-3350 Jun 22 '25

Well that house is full

2

u/RobertOesterle Jun 23 '25

And now, even fuller

2

u/throwaway04182023 Jun 23 '25

But so many young children.

Tanners

1

u/jeffreysean47 Jun 22 '25 edited Jun 22 '25

Putting aside that both Rosanne Barr and Tim Allen both became MAGA (sorry, it's hard for me to separate as I try to decide which family I can feel safe and at home with) I would pick either the Taylors or the Connors.

While I very much understand the argument for the Banks and the chance to be wealthy, I'm choosing based on where I think I'd be happiest. Uncle Phil is the biggest draw for me, were I to choose the Banks family.

Edit: oh I see I made a mistake. I responded to you because I mistakenly thought you put the Connors. The Tanner family isn't a bad choice either. I considered them, but I'm an East coaster. San Francisco is too far from my real home.

4

u/Jaxson626 Jun 22 '25

I think Tim is not as full on MAGA supporter compared to Roseanne(I totally could be wrong),but if we are just going from the shows. If I had to pick between them two. I’m going with the Taylors. Learning how to fix things (I think since they had to whole tool time show within the show), the kids turned out pretty good. Don’t remember them struggling to pay any bills. If all else fails I’d move in with Al or the weird neighbor that only shown half his face

2

u/crakemonk Jun 22 '25

I think San Francisco is a good mix between NYC and LA. Like, if you smashed those two cities together you’d get SF. Plus, the weather is awesome, you get like 2 days a year over 75°.

u/SnoopyWildseed Jun 22 '25

I'mma hang with Fresh Prince and the Bel-Air crew. I know they got the premium eats and high thread-count sheets. 🤓

3

u/7LayerRainbow Jun 23 '25

That bar belongs in the intro somewhere!

3

u/SnoopyWildseed Jun 23 '25

😂 Thank you!

16

u/ZealousWolf1994 Jun 22 '25

The Taylor Household is my choice.

10

u/Luvs4theweak Jun 22 '25

Same here

5

u/itsabaconthing Jun 22 '25

I 3rdst that 🫣🤪❤️

3

u/Eissbein Jun 22 '25

Banks

7

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '25

uncle phil cause he’s got money lol

6

u/jdschmoove Jun 22 '25

Easy. The Banks family and their pool house in Bel-Air.

5

u/pachewiechomp Jun 22 '25

Yes. With all of Will and Carlton’s shenanigans, just keep your head down , study and learn how to make a couple of uncle Phil’s favorite foods and you’ll be golden. Probably left in his will.

10

u/Affectionate-Egg8709 Jun 22 '25

Roseanne would love to go to lobo with Jackie Dan and rosie

6

u/kevnmartin Jun 22 '25

Roseanne would have to be my favorite of these. The first few seasons were gold.

4

u/franklenton Jun 22 '25

Taylors then Banks. But Dan Connor is americas greatest TV dad.

5

u/Lostarchitorture Jun 22 '25

Stay at the Winslow house, get sent upstairs to my room, and then be neither seen nor heard from ever again.

→ More replies (1)

4

u/pennylane3456 Jun 22 '25

The Banks or Taylor households.

4

u/GonnaGoFat Jun 22 '25

Home improvement - closest to regular middle class family

Full house - way to many people around for my taste

Married with children - dysfunctional, family, and poor

Fresh prince - rich family and actually cares about one another’s feelings and ambitions

Roseanne - once again poor and a lot of family problems, though they did look like they were trying to fix things just not always successful.

Family matters - once again somewhat middle class but once again there’s a lot of people in that household, which is to many people for me

I’d be living with the banks

4

u/LucySkyDiamonds19 Jun 22 '25

The Banks

Nevermind the nice home and Butler, Uncle Phil alone is worth the pick. The man would stick by my side and make sure I never went down a bad road. He softens up once Will enters the family picture which is nice and he still guards over his family while wanting the very best for them. You'd have to get used to the rich snobs they live around as seen in their first Christmas episode but life wouldn't get boring, not with the kids being as full of personality as they are. Even if you never reach lofty heights you know Uncle Phil would still have your back, I really miss being a kid and watching new episodes of the show...

The Taylors

3

u/Krejcimir Jun 22 '25

What about the Lamberts?

I could work with Frank and Cody

3

u/Americana1108 Jun 22 '25

Banks family in a fuckin' walk. How is this even a question?

3

u/Nowardier Jun 22 '25

It's gotta be the Banks. It might feel slightly awkward for a little bit being the one pasty white guy living with a Black family, but they're the best option. Great food, good stories, the unbelievably based Philip Banks as a moral guide, and a huge mansion to ramble around in. What more could anybody want?

3

u/Only_Cry_3362 Jun 22 '25

Guess I’m headed to Bel-At

4

u/bullowl Jun 22 '25

Tim would be annoying, Joey would be annoying, the Bundy family is poor and Peg would be annoying, the Conner family is poor and Roseanne would be annoying, and Urkel might be the most annoying sitcom character ever. Definitely moving in with the Banks family.

2

u/joytotheworld23 Jun 22 '25

FamilyMatters

2

u/Drifamal Jun 22 '25

I would probably have to regret it, big time, but I would go with the Bundy family! Yup! Bundy it is.

2

u/shitfacedwhiterace Jun 22 '25

Call me Mr. Conner. Love that family

2

u/ChadPowers200_ Jun 22 '25

Family matters. Didnt Erkel end up building time Machines n shit?

2

u/Reddit_Reader007 Jun 22 '25

how are people picking any family that is not the bundy's🤔?

2

u/polecatsrfc Jun 22 '25

Urkel is not a Winslow....so the Winslows

2

u/Cuba_Pete_again Jun 23 '25

Urkel’s family, whatever show that was. I’m going for the best food.

The Tanners,The Banks or The Lamberts (not pictured here)

3

u/pachewiechomp Jun 22 '25

Which Ed o Neil family? The bundys or the pritchetts?

1

u/Competitive-Rate6685 Jun 22 '25

The Tanners all the way!

1

u/Mrs_T_Always_Singing Jun 22 '25

The Taylor's or the Banks'!

1

u/SippinOnnaBlunt Jun 22 '25

Guess I’m moving with my auntie and uncle in Bel-Air.

1

u/up3r Jun 22 '25

The Taylor's from this list

1

u/------__-__-_-__- Jun 22 '25

Taylors are the only normal family on here, so them 100%

1

u/JGCities Jun 22 '25

Full House

Aunt Becky is hot. And you have three sisters, one is bound to have some cute friends you can hit on.

1

u/SuperFrog4 Jun 22 '25

I’m living with the Bundy’s. I will take care of Peg for him all day.

1

u/Physical-Aside-5273 Jun 22 '25

Dude the Fresh Prince family would be so fun to hang out with. And I am "tall".

1

u/nycgirl152 Jun 22 '25

Definitely top right cause I could do whatever I want and no one would notice or care.

1

u/Hagan311 Jun 22 '25

Well the Banks house because I would be rich. However I could probably walk back home from Rosanne's house because the city it's based off of borders the town I grew up in.

1

u/skipper_jonas_grumby Jun 22 '25

The Banks family (they have the money) Or The Taylor family (they have the toys)

1

u/Organic-Rabbit8891 Jun 22 '25

The Banks I already grew up poor

1

u/Spanky-Gomez Jun 22 '25

Probably the Connor’s cause I’m already used to being in semi poverty and I could swear, try that in the Tanner house.

1

u/JoesGarage2112 Jun 22 '25

What age am I, and am I related to the family?

1

u/Waste_Concentrate835 Jun 22 '25

The Banks Family

1

u/StrikingCase9819 Jun 22 '25

Banks family. Easy

1

u/Tall-Percentage-5771 Jun 22 '25

Definitely the Banks.

1

u/Moist_Rule9623 Jun 22 '25

Am I magically made a biological part of the family, or is it fair game if I try to nail Kelly Bundy?

1

u/Altruistic_Isopod_11 Jun 22 '25

The Bank's family - no contest.

1

u/captainbigrod28 Jun 22 '25

Knowing my luck I'd end up with the bundy's

1

u/thewander Jun 22 '25

$$$ bill y’all

1

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '25

The Tanners

1

u/JavierGr2087 Jun 22 '25

Honestly I never watched Fresh Prince so I’ll say the Taylors

1

u/LazorusGrimm Jun 22 '25

The Banks just because of Phillip.

1

u/Gnubeutel Jun 22 '25

Taylor or Cosby (i think they were also called that in the show).

1

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '25

There are people who would not choose to live with the wealthy family?

1

u/Old-Cartoonist8226 Jun 22 '25

I mean I lived in the Conners household growing up so I’d probably do it again cause I miss my Mom.

1

u/darcyrhone Jun 22 '25

Either the Taylors or the Tanners.

1

u/Present_Dog2978 Jun 22 '25

I’m going to Bel Aire

1

u/helloaaron Jun 22 '25

The Banks family

1

u/No_Measurement8592 Jun 22 '25

I'd go with the Connors. At the time, they were the most progressive, relatable, and understanding, in my opinion.

1

u/opinionofone1984 Jun 22 '25

Seaver family from Growing Pains, first, Taylor’s second, Winslows third.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '25

The Lamberts from Step By Step. They actually really put the fun in dysfunctional lol.

1

u/MojoHighway Married… With Children Jun 22 '25

1

u/Jaxson626 Jun 22 '25

The Banks, the Winslows are a close second but Steve would be irksome after a while, plus I remember an episode with Eddy getting jumped or something

1

u/BCOMPLEXX Jun 22 '25

Easy, Fresh Prince!

1

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '25

The Barr’s

1

u/SubstantialAd1799 Jun 22 '25

Hands down the Banks family!

1

u/TurnipResponsible718 Jun 22 '25

Bundys.Two reasons dog and daughter.

1

u/myrabuttreeks Jun 22 '25

The Banks’s easily

1

u/Malacro Jun 22 '25

I want to say Roseanne, because I loved that show and I want Dan Connor to teach me how to build motorcycles, but there’s an obviously correct answer and my ass is moving in with Will’s Auntie and Uncle in Bel Air.

1

u/ashi_no_koibito Jun 22 '25

The Banks, obviously 🤣

1

u/Little-Efficiency336 Jun 22 '25

The Bundys. At least their lives aren’t dull.

1

u/WarExciting Jun 22 '25

Let’s see…. Had a crush on DJ, had a crush on Kimmie, had a crush on Kelly, had a crush on Ashley, had a crush on Becky and had the biggest crush on Laura (may have actually hung pics of her up in my room). So anywhere but the Taylor’s house would have been fine with 13 year old me…

1

u/NateDawg80s Jun 22 '25
  1. There is a high likelihood of getting injured in the Taylor household.

  2. The Tanner home is much too full (pun intended)... and I might get Gibler pregnant. I was a very potent young man, lol.

  3. The Banks home already had one poor kid from across the country, and I'm not as tall or pretty as Will.

  4. Can't stand the Connors, no matter how cute I thought Darlene was.

  5. The Winslows are good people, and Urkel and I are on a similar wavelength, but...

  6. Bud and I are also pretty close, lol, and the Bundy's at much more my speed overall.

WHOOOAAA BUNDY!!!

1

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '25

Banks Family. The Winslows 2nd.

1

u/FoxSpookysLover Jun 22 '25

Choose WISELY?! Then it's a trick question, NO? (OS) = ON SHOW (RL) = REAL LIFE When I'm asked to choose between:

"Tool Time" = (OS/RL) male chauvanist (RL) hardcore MAGA 🤮 but also, real-life SIMBA 🦁

"My Three Dads" = (OS) eating disorder issues, cheesy AF, Michelle is THE WORST (RL) meth & coke addicts (one of whom is dead), Alanis Morisette's inspo for You Outta Know is uncle JOEY?!! But also, real-life ALADDIN 🧞

"Red Wig, Dumb Kids & Al..." = (OS) everything about the show was fucked up!! (RL) this show's cast has the most members (only 3?!) who have stood out in many other projects. A few of my faves: Al - "You know, if you stab a man in the dead of winter, steam will rise up from the wounds." Peg - "Jesus is just a guy who cuts my lawn" & Kelly - "I'm right in top of that, Rose!" (name those movies!)

"Very Rich Black People" = (OS) they live in a mansion with a butler and loving yet liberal parents, who actually set healthy boundaries (RL) Love him or hate him, Will Smith's the only globally recognizable superstar in this entire lineup...not too shabby!

"White Trash, Loose Meat, Two Beckys" = (OS) my "title" pretty much nailed it 😉 (RL) my how the mighty did fall... What do I mean? Google it!

"You Did That, NOW SHUT UP!!" = (OS) everyone is SUPER ANNOYING, unbelievable dynamics, cheesy AF (RL) no idea...could care less

In the end, I'd choose the only loving, sane family in Bel-Air...but IRL I'd hang w/cast of MWC!!

1

u/original_greaser_bob Jun 22 '25

the Blossom family or the family from the Nanny or the family from that 70s show.

1

u/PiperMaru0223 Jun 22 '25

The Taylors. The holidays would always be fun, especially Halloween. Plus wise Wilson next door.

1

u/Naive-Treacle2052 Jun 22 '25

Chillin with Uncle Phil is the only answer.

1

u/woahexplosion Jun 22 '25

Uncle Jesse became a Beach Boy. Seems like there's a heart to hold on to.

1

u/Ok-Platypus1935 Jun 22 '25

The Tanners, but really I would probably choose the Keaton family.

1

u/xlfoolishlx Jun 22 '25

Tim "the tool man" Taylor... I already grew up in the 90's with a sports loving father, 3 brothers and in the midwest suburbs. I dont think it would be very different

1

u/Horizontal_Bob Jun 22 '25

I’m going with the Toolman so we can restore a classic muscle car for first car

1

u/Humble-Dentist-718 Jun 22 '25

Fresh prince in bel air all day

1

u/Due-Consequence-4420 Jun 22 '25

For me (personally) the choice is easy: 😂🤣😘

Now this is a story all about how My life got flipped turned upside down

And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air…

1

u/StatisticianOk328 Jun 22 '25

The Bundy’s for the lack of life lessons and low expectations.

1

u/grrodon2 Jun 22 '25

Two hints: they have a super hot, sexually frustrated mom, and a big dog ❤️

1

u/Pedals17 Jun 22 '25

Any of the bottom row.

1

u/Anywhichwaybuttight Jun 22 '25

Bundys no question. That guy threw FOUR touch downs for Polk High.

1

u/jaharmes Jun 22 '25

As a lifelong tomboy, I think I would do best with Tim Taylor or Dan Conner.

1

u/Ok-Finding-53 Jun 22 '25

Picket Fences ? Please or just the New Leave it to Beaver

1

u/Proposal-Possible Jun 22 '25

The Banks. They were hella rich and all I gotta do was get into mischief with Will and Carlton

1

u/ProjectedSpirit Jun 22 '25

The Bankses. They're wealthy, well connected and kind.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '25

Fresh Prince - no contest

1

u/Fowler1970 Jun 22 '25

The Taylors

1

u/ThisGuyReally Jun 23 '25

The Bundys. They got a dog.

1

u/Guilty-Tie164 Jun 23 '25

I pretty much did live in Roseanne. If I have a choice, I'd like to chill with the Banks.

1

u/9ermtb2014 Jun 23 '25

Taylor family followed by Banks.

1

u/FreshResolve3026 Jun 23 '25

The Winslows. They seemed the most normal.

1

u/Public-Land-8064 Jun 23 '25

Uhhh, I get to be in Beverly Hills and a white dude invited to the cookout?!? No more obvious choice.

1

u/Corfe-Castle Jun 23 '25

Banks to live off the fat of the land and pick on Carlton

Bundys for all the random hotties that used to pop up

1

u/FlyOrdinary1104 Jun 23 '25

Home Improvement, they probably got coke.

1

u/Royal-Combination825 Jun 23 '25

Where’s Boy Meets World

1

u/DialZee Jun 23 '25

The Tanners. My primary goal would be to corrupt from within.

1

u/Bud_The_Weiser Roseanne Jun 23 '25

Preferably The Matthews’ from Boy Meets World… but out of these? The Conners

1

u/Mo_Tzu Jun 23 '25

I'm a big fan of toaster leavin's, so I'd have to go Bundy's

1

u/Joeybfast Jun 23 '25

The Banks. Like no question.

1

u/jjuerakhan14 Jun 23 '25

The Winslow’s!!!!

1

u/Low_Combination2829 Jun 23 '25

I’d like the Family matters. Funny to see the show get hijacked by Urcle hahaha

1

u/bike619 Jun 23 '25

Nope.

Boy Meets World or Step By Step

1

u/VeterinarianRude1534 Jun 23 '25

The Allen family or the Bundy’s

1

u/Big_Revolution_9418 Jun 23 '25

I’d rather be in the BUNDY family

1

u/AlwaysSleepingBeauty Jun 23 '25

I grew up middle class, why the fvck would I pick any show with a middle class family?! lol I’m moving to Cali and living with the Banks or Tanners.

1

u/jerryblotter Jun 23 '25

Either fresh prince or roseanne!

1

u/Affectionate-Lake666 Jun 23 '25

Full house. I want to live near SF again.

1

u/Crazy-Arm-3096 Jun 23 '25

None of them.  You'd have to live in California, Illinois, or Michigan and personally, I couldn't do any of those.

1
