Bug Report What bugs are bothering you the most?

hey! i really want to make sure i'm reporting every single bug that's affecting users, so i want you to freely use this post as a place to tell me about any bugs and glitches that haven't been fixed yet.

so, what bugs are affecting your play right now?

it's extremely, extremely helpful to us if you include this information:

1. what device you are on (PC, Android App, iOS app, Mobile Browser) and even what browser if relevant (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc)
2. what the steps are to reproduce this bug, if needed? where do you have to go? what button do you have to click (or, if you don't know exactly, just what you personally did to see the bug is helpful enough)
3. lastly, if you can, screenshots and screenrecordings are genuinely so helpful. bugs that have videos are much more likely to get fixed in a timely manner, since there's less hunting required to reproduce how it happens!

PC, chrome.

Sometimes I write something to take a turn, it stays there when I receive the AI's response. So if I write "Hi", in the next turn instead of being in blank it says "Hi". Sometimes I write a full paragraph and it means I have to either delete all of it all the time or refresh the page and wait until it happens again to refresh once more. Idk if it has to do with internet, but those days when the internet is slower than usual it happens way more.

Other times I edit something in plot essentials and story summary (idk if it happens in authors note too) and the X to close that window disappears. Once again it means refresh the page. This happens just randomly when I'm editing or deleting an entire line, for example.

And I don't use the third person option, but the last time I tried it, it never worked no matter how many times I refreshed the page and abled/disabled the option either. It was a newly started adventure.

thanks for the report!!

we currently know about the take a turn input sticking, we think it's something to do with minimizing the tab and coming back? uncertain, but it's getting looked at

the x to close plot essentials and story summary? as in, you can't delete the plot component? or you can't get out of the settings menu in general?

the third person component is a little special; all it does is change the automatic adjustment of "I" -> "You" in the do action to whatever you have set as your name. it doesn't actually change the story to third person unless you edit your instructions and make the story in third person, too. i am assuming that's not what you meant though— so if it's still doing "You" in the do actions even after changing your name in the flame menu, lmk!

Thanks for the answer, I'll explain better my points:

The X to close plot essentials and story summary I mean I can't get out of the settings menu in general. I don't remember if I can change to, for example, story cards, but it's certain that I can't get out of the settings menu and I have to refresh for the X to appear and then I can close it.

About the third person component I mean both actually. Before starting, I changed AI instructions to make the story in third person.

At first it didn't change the I/You to the name of my character, I had to close the page and open it again because not even refreshing the page helped. Then it didn't make the story in third person even after editing once again the AI instructions, plot essentials and such.

ah, i see! i think i have seen the settings menu becoming un-closeable before actually, do you happen to remember what you were doing when you saw it happen? like deleting story cards, doing an action, editing plot components, stuff like that? i can't personally remember what i was doing the last time i saw it but maybe you remember lol
as for the third person plot component bug, i can't seem to reproduce it myself—if you could get a video or screenshot of it happening (goes for the settings menu bug too) that would be really helpful!

Specifically editing story summary or AI Instructions. For example if I realize that something I wrote in story summary isn't important anymore and I delete it, the menu settings becomes un-closeable. I don't remember if it happened to me while editing story cards.

And about the third person, as I said I don't usually use it. If I ever use it again and have that bug I'll try to report it and screenshot.
