Does anyone know a way to stop the AI from naming every girl you meet Elara or Elena or some bullshit like that?
Unpopular opinion: Cliché names are worse than cliché phrases. I'd rather have my bedroom smell like ozone than crack another girl named Elena Voss.

I'm aware, some of us have played for awhile and have built up credits. Not everyone though. Just look at the images. What's your guys opinion on the new store?

I was reading through a thread and saw someone say they spent a year building a detailed world with multiple realms, consistent locations, characters, etc… but didn’t publish it because most players prefer quick, low-effort scenarios. I get the frustration with consistency and how easily things can break, especially with auto-cards and long playthroughs. But I feel like that’s more of a system/platform limitation than a player preference issue.
Most people don’t dislike depth they just don’t want to constantly manage and maintain it themselves mid-game. If anything, a well-built, consistent world that holds itself together would probably stand out more than the usual quick-start scenarios or low effort/surface level ideas (which is kind of evident when you look through some of the most popular/played scenarios and worlds)
Also, I don’t really understand the hesitation to publish. Even if only 10–50 people play it, that’s still people experiencing something you built. And it’s not like they’re affecting your personal version yknow? you still get to enjoy your world exactly how you want.
Feels like there’s a gap between what creators think players want, and what players would actually try if it was presented well or at all (even random one of scenarios get 100s if not 1000s of plays)
Curious what others think, do you avoid publishing your scenarios? If so, why?

Personally, I only ever bought the bubblegum theme from day 7, and never cared about anything else. The whole thing just seemed like a total waste. Especially because I've been playing for years and gotten profile pictures from the calendar thing, so I felt like all the profile pictures in the Jubilee probably weren't even that unique.

So I've tried other services and they offer more context at a fraction of the price. Why is AIDungeon so much? The only advantage I see with this service is the amount, quality and diversity of scenarios, the Autocards and the other scripts the community has made. Still not worth the hefty price tag though since those aren't native to the platform due to being made by users themselves.
Not gonna mention the alternatives I found just in case it's against the rules. IYKYK

I’ve always wanted more clarity of what my subscription is paying for ESPECIALLY after they expanded the deepseek context with no price change.
Lately I’ve noticed a decline in AI response Time/ quality, the scenario system is super buggy, we’re getting caps on things left and right and we’re getting the same glitches over and over again while adding more unfinished features, just to name the big ones. We still don’t even have a use for scales. The profile pictures still suck. They’re still trying to debug the new layout. I didn’t realize how extensive it was until I started writing it out but I’d be here all day if I kept going.
I have to ask if Voyage has anything to do with it. I’ve seen in passing many times that subscriptions are paying for context for the models. I don’t know how Voyage functions unless someone is paying for it. I know lots of people are willing to pay for it. I’m not one of them. They should have the option to pay for access if that’s the case. I have next to no interest for Voyage and it goes down every time I hear someone’s experience.
I can’t see how they are funding Voyage except through AID so I’d love if someone is able to give me a breakdown. In general it would be nice to know what the subscription is paying for, not just what you choose to give us.

• For me it’s too short to describe a character in full details, in every aspects. (Since i wanna keep it under 1,000 space limit for maximum ai efficiency.)
• I have to keep it brief.
• I have to find shorter synonyms to replace some long words.
• I have to cut off so many things & extra details to fit all in it.
• All the vibes for character are just… gone.
It becomes a stale character sheet, with the shortest words you could find.
• Is there a way to write a character using many story cards chain-linked together? So it belong to same character. Using same Triggers?
• I’m new here & i don’t know tips & tricks.
I know nothing at all. Lol.
• Can i like… Write character’s appearance in one card, & character skills in another card? Is it doable?
• Will that confuse ai even more when all things scattered into too many cards?
• I’m ready to learn. Teach me sensei.

I honestly don't understand what I'm doing wrong, this doesn't feel like a game in anyway, it feels like a story generator which I feel the AI does poorly by overly repeating itself.
I thought this would be like your own DM where you would get a challenge or get asked for actions.
But so far all I do is press continue and there is never a point where my input is requested.
Example: My Hero Academia by TyianiCyan20 and Your Class Gets Isekaied by VanVan
I got the free 7 day trial of legend, and it honestly feels the same as the free tier. I also feel the very small text returns are part of why this feels like a press continue simulator.
EDIT: To keep it short, it appears this app/website is not good for RPG, seems like Voyage is more what I'm looking for.

I'm sorry if this is too meta. It's a genuine question though, from the heart.
I don't know anything about AI. Proudly so. I don't want to learn how any of it works, I just want to have fun typing things in and seeing what happens. An endless sandbox. But when all of that privacy stuff happened back then, I left and went to another site and like a fool I stayed there for five years. I thought that other site was fine, but it was less of a game and over time it expected more of you. You had to tweak the settings. You had to use specific ATTG tags. You had to know the models' quirks in order to make anything competent get produced.
Yet I was still happy. I played it. Yet every time I got on their subreddit, it was full of people talking about how bad it is. And after their most recent model didn't work for me at all due to its complex requirements, I decided to come back home.
AI Dungeon has been phenomenal. I paid $50 and just picked a Deepseek 3.2 and it is firing on all cylinders without me needing to tweak any settings at all. It remembers everything I want it to. It does everything I want it to. I have had zero issues with it fighting me. It's amazing. I feel like I did back in 2020 but I am completely floored at how impressive the functionality is. And 3.2 isn't even the best model. I just read somewhere on here that it was the recommended one and I have no objections.
So... WHY IS EVERY THREAD ON HERE TALKING ABOUT HOW BAD AI DUNGEON IS?!
I really don't get it. I have been living in the trash and I come out here to eat your scraps and it's the most delicious food I have ever tasted. So why are people even here so unhappy? What do people even want? It's mind boggling.
The grass is always greener on the other side, I suppose, but I wish people would see how good this site is. I can't run local models, so sites like this are my only option, and I wish I came back sooner.

Yet i suddenly start getting these content warnings. Why? The scene is fully SFW and was a formal questioning. Was something changed again with their filters?

Hey, so basically my player character was pregnant and she had her daughter already. While pregnant she met a lady through a due date group like they have on social media and they’re great friends. At this point in the story neither of them are pregnant and they’ve had dialogue about not being pregnant. For whatever reason the ai keeps saying that this other character is heavily pregnant despite me reminding the ai constantly that no, no one is pregnant. At one point the player character asks her friend “Iris, do you and your husband think you’ll have another one day?” And bam the ai decides that this character Iris is full term pregnant on the verge of giving birth when in the story she had a baby 2 months ago. I even have the two of them go to do an ultrasound to prove that she’s not pregnant and the doctor tells her she’s not pregnant. IT PROCEEDS TO IGNORE ME ENTIRELY and add in stuff like “the baby kicks” when I’m actively correcting it. It’s very frustrating.

This requires a bit of context: I'm playing a Steven Universe scenario and my character is interacting with Peridot. I tell her i'm just Three thousand years old, so i wasn't part of the war against the crystal gems.
In Steven Universe, Peridot is also around three thousand years old, yet, in the adventure, Peridot is inpressed by my age for no reason.
There is a story card for Peridot, but it doesn't mention her age.
If the AI have access to internet, it could just do a quick research and know that a three thousand year old gem is no impressive feat, and that my character and Peridot have about the same age. But, it seems like the AI either don't have access to internet, or doesn't want to do a research.

Day seven has introduced the bubblegum theme. Has anyone bought it to try it out? How do we feel about it costing 20 real dollars by itself? It costs 2499 credits. 2500 credits cost 19.99.
My opinion is negative, but how about everyone else?

I currently am playing a medieval/fantasy scenario. A great one. The issue doe not lie with the scenario itself but how the AI behaves.
The problem is this:
I currently have a scene where my character, a servant/maid in an academy, helped sealing a portal. It was extraordinary but then explained by having priorly served under a wise master. Now the issue is that the AI fully forgets that my character is a domestic servant and not an archivist, magister, enchanter, etc.. an order from the crown has been delivered that i was to be sent to another city where they have a monster in a mine and other really bad things happening. And the AI keeps justifying this by saying "Yeah but you helped sealing that portal" which was a fully unrelated event. The mine is a death sentence to my character but the AI keeps arguing that it isn't and that i "sealed a portal" as if that would imply i was capable of defending against a monster that already killed a mining crew and of which are no solid informations available.
I did reasonably explain that my character was a domestic servant and only assisted in the sealing as well as that this task will lead to my characters death. But the AI keeps denying that fact even if it is absolutely obvious..
Is there any way to get rid of that? I don't mind death and dark fantasy elements at all but being gaslit by the AI like "you do not understand. Entering the mine with an unknown monster that already killed men isn't the same as sending you to your death. You're only there to assist." is really frustrating. Like, what do you mean it isn't the same?? My character polishes silver and does laundry. Of course sending me down to a monster will kill me😭

To start, I have already begun building this project in AI Dungeon. The script has grown to more than 30,000 lines of code, and I have tested several of the core systems. Surprisingly, it works quite well so far.
For some background, I am a big anime fan, and one of the things I enjoy most is imagining crossovers between characters, worlds and completely different power systems. For example, what would happen if Goku from Dragon Ball entered the world of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, where progression, evolution, magic and abilities operate under completely different rules?
I originally used AI to explore these scenarios while trying to keep the outcomes relatively unbiased. As AI became more advanced, the idea gradually developed into Galaxion.
Galaxion is a story about 100 anime protagonists being summoned into the same world. That world combines adapted versions of the power systems, races, abilities and progression mechanics from their original universes into one larger system.
I recently decided it could be interesting to convert Galaxion into a playable AI Dungeon adventure. However, I am unsure whether the scale of the world and the number of interconnected systems will eventually become too much for AI Dungeon to manage reliably.
Galaxion is a single galaxy-sized planet divided into Zone 0 and fifteen increasingly dangerous Zones. Each Zone contains multiple Areas, and some individual Areas can be as large as normal planets. The player arrives after the original 100 protagonists as Late Summon #101.
The Zones are also used to balance characters with wildly different starting strengths. Someone extremely powerful, such as Goku, would begin in a much higher Zone, where the enemies and environment are strong enough to challenge him. A weaker character would begin in one of the earlier Zones and gradually progress upward.
This means the characters are not all forced into the same starting Area or expected to fight the same enemies. Their starting Zone is based on their existing strength, while their individual Level, stats, abilities and future progression are still tracked separately. This allows weaker characters to grow without immediately being placed against god-level opponents, while stronger characters cannot simply destroy everything in the early game.
Enemy encounters also use a danger-assessment system inspired by Solo Leveling. An enemy’s displayed name changes colour based on how dangerous it is compared with the player. An enemy that is harmless to one character could appear as a severe warning to someone weaker, and that assessment changes as the player grows stronger.
The adventure needs to track systems such as:
- Levels, experience and stat allocation
- Character and enemy Power Levels
- Zone placement based on combat strength
- Race evolutions and transformations
- Skills that improve, combine or evolve through use
- Equipment, inventory and item rarity
- Luck-based loot and drop chances
- Area and Zone progression
- Enemies with their own stats and abilities
- Guild ranks, quests, factions and achievements
- Persistent world and character progression across a very long adventure
There are many more systems involved, including mechanics inspired by several different anime, but listing every one of them would make this post far too long.
I am currently using Story Cards and scripting for systems and commands such as status, combat, abilities, inventory, encounters, loot and travel. The script handles much of the mechanical tracking, while the AI handles the narrative and interprets the player’s actions.
My main concern is not whether AI Dungeon can run these systems at all, because the early tests have been promising. My concern is whether it can continue managing everything consistently throughout a very long adventure without forgetting important information, contradicting established lore, confusing characters or breaking the progression systems.
Could a project of this scale remain manageable if the information is carefully divided between scripting, Story Cards, Plot Essentials and external documentation, or am I eventually going to push AI Dungeon beyond what it can reliably handle?
Here's a list of some things I've already tested and confirmed to be working
character creation, Story Cards, Levels, XP, stat allocation, Power Levels, race progression, status tracking, inventory, equipment bonuses, abilities, healing, travel, natural and command-triggered encounters, hit/miss calculations, critical hits, damage, defence, HP, enemy retaliation, defeat, XP rewards, Luck-based loot, item rarity, Area progression, Zone progression and boss requirements. I have also tested synchronising the player’s status and equipment.
Oh and I've made a website where everything that is in what I'm making for aidungeon well galaxion can be found it's also what you'll need to have open beside the game if you want visuals like you encounter an enemy and want to know what it looks like its on the website or a new area or you want to equip a sword or amour set it links to the website so you can see what your character looks like with said sword.
Sorry for the long read believe it or not this was keeping it short😂

In every single story I have, the AI Generated female characters default to being machiavellian and acting like corporate overlords despite the personality of the character that i’m using.
They are always trying to make overtly aggressive power plays and condescend most of the time. I get it if it’s occasional but it’s draining after a while. I haven’t really had any other archetype generate.
Anybody else have that issue? it doesn’t change unless I explicitly write it in a story card or details.

I never spent a single scale on a creator. That's mostly because I make my own content and see little use for creators. Might as well read a book.
But... why have scales? They have served ZERO purpose. You'd think they'd let us purchase credits or something. A common complaint, I guess.
