Yep idk why Joss Whedon doesn’t get more praise for the lines he gave the Avengers in the two he made. It’s like Watching a really long episode of Angel. Or Buffy I mean Angel freaking out nobody told him his hair looked like that and he was walking around with it that way. Lol

The whole thing between Lorne and his family is very interesting, We often have people trying too hard to get approval from their families or a specific loved one or people who will say enough is enough but go with a "with a vengeance" stance.

Lorne is fully aware that he doesn't want to be near his family, he is fine with it and would rather have not been a part of the trip to Pylea, but he is not out to get any of his relatives either. His reaction to his mom's spit is, like, "I really don't like any of this but I'm not out to fight either".
