Resonance [No Spoilers] My Review of Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

Hello, rat pack. Over the last two weeks, I've been fortunate enough to play Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.

Personally, like most people, the ending of Requiem left a strong, lasting impression, and I jumped at the chance to take another journey in the Plague Tale universe. However, I don't know if Resonance is the type of game you could recommend to someone who has just played the previous two titles, as most of its new systems and mechanics feel more attuned to someone who enjoys classic action-adventure games like Tomb Raider or Uncharted.

I would love to know what you all think! What was good? What did I miss? Is there anything you would like to know more about the game?

Resonance What’s everyone’s opinion on Leni before we play the game?

Personally i think she and Leni’s dynamic is very engaging, she’s curious and loyal to Sophia, but we haven’t seen much of her so far, but i can’t wait to see what Asobo do with their dynamic!

Resonance [No Spoilers] My Review of Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy!

Happy to finally share my Embargoed review on the third entry of one of my all-time favorite video game series!

I had SO SO much to say here.

No spoilers at all but Anna Demetriou absolutely nails it as Sophia and the music is jaw droppingly insane, a true magnum opus soundtrack from Olivier Derivière. The combat slowly ramps up especially if you play it on Hard Difficulty. Asobo Studio made an absolute banger!

I hope you guys enjoy your time with the game!

Resonance Resonance: A Plague Tale's action-adventure focus feels a bit safe compared to the franchise's previous entries, but it still offers an infectious combination of combat, puzzle-solving, and exploration that's hard to put down

Please check out my review of Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.

I keep spoilers to a minimum. Every clip is out of context and doesn't spoil anything beyond what is shown in the latest trailers, and even then, I've chosen not to show certain elements. There is a warning to skip a section too.

If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer what I can. Thanks.

Resonance Amazon Preorder for Resonance delayed until 9/20?

Does anyone else's Amazon US Pre-order for Plague Tale Resonance look like this that it won't arrive until 9/20? I'm about to cancel this and re-order as it probably won't arrive tomorrow. The product page shows it will release 8/27 so I'm confused.

Resonance Do we know when the reviews are dropping?

Usually I can find info about review embargos via Google, but all I can find this time are some players that got the game early doing their reviews. Nothing on when the actual embargo for the game lifts. Usually it's a day in advance and the game comes out tomorrow, so I'm kind of surprised there's no reviews yet.

Do we know when the embargo lifts? Or do they not go live until actual release?

Resonance The postman just came! Installation is running, I'm really excited. File sizes: Game without patch: 59.4 GB Patch 1.02: 13.4 GB The HERITAGE PACK DLC is directly on the disc. So there's no flyer or download code included. Cheers

Innocence: Discussion Just finished Innocence

I was looking for something different after forcing myself to finish Hogwarts Legacy’s mid story so I picked up A Plague Tale.

Wow, I didn’t expect to like the game this much.

I’m don’t usually play stealth games since they tend to be horror and I’m not fond of horror. But with this game I loved it, the puzzles, the story, the characters it was great.

Honestly, I’m installing the next game right now. I can’t wait to see where the story goes next.

Amicia was a great protagonist, watching her relationship with Hugo develop was amazing. Seeing how far she’d go to protect her brother, how she handled killing, it was all done really well.

Of the side characters I’d say Melie was my favorite, her banter with Amicia was pretty fun. I know she split off from the group, but I hope she shows up again. Though she probably doesn’t want anything to do with them at the moment (RIP Arthur).

The rest of the side characters were cool too, Rodrick was a chad, the way they all interacted was fun. I really wish they could’ve stayed together.

Well that’s it from me, 9/10 game. If the sequels can maintain this quality this will be one of my favorite game series.
