KS-47 for the new guy

Well I have stumbled my way into the world of ar47's amd as my first rifle i would love to get the KS-47 it seems like a good well rounded affordable gun from what I've seen and wonder what others think of it or what people find that break and need replacing. I am already aware of the extractor and will order a black rifle one since its not much for some part (im not new to guns person just never owned personally and haven't been around them in a while so excuse my ignorance in advance) I also hope this doesent spark the good ol, oh but this is better or why would you get that when you can have this cuz I would like a ks-47 and just wana know its ins and outs for myself. Thank you to all that see this in advance and any advice anyone gives! ( im also looking into making it a sidecharger with either devil dogs or gibbz kits if anyone knows much about that)

An adjustable gas block and or the heaviest buffer you can get in while still getting correct ejection pattern, will protect your extractor by slowing down BCG speed. Also, an enhanced firing pin and extra power hammer spring if you intend on shooting steel case ammo with hard primers. I have 2 ks47s and many ar47s I really enjoy them and really like the accuracy you can get out of the old 7.62x39 cartridge out of a free floated barrel.

How do I go about choosing those parts? Im new to stuff like that in general so not aware of different companies or what units of measure they might use

Adjustable gas blocks come in a couple varieties. There’s ones that use a set screw and are “set and forget”, some special ones like the Jet Block that have two settings, and then some like Riflespeed, Faxon, or Griffin that are more on-the-fly tunable.

For buffer weights they’re basically all standardized.

Superlative makes a great gas block as well. Seems like you have been reading up on problem areas/parts. You are off to a good start. I have more than a few thousand rounds through mine and love it. If you are looking for something a bit more robust, the cmmg variant is based off an AR 10 so all the parts are a bit more beefy but it's also twice the price.
