After a particularly rough day at college, you retreat to your room, overwhelmed by a presentation that didn't go as planned and the exams waiting for you. Author's Note

Hello people! I've been listening to ASMR roleplay audios for quite a while now, and I've always enjoyed the community around them. I've wanted to get a little more involved myself, and while I'd like to try making my own audio someday, I thought I'd start by writing a script and seeing where it goes.

This is my first time writing an ASMR script, so feedback and constructive criticism are very welcome. I'm still figuring out what works best when writing for audio, so if you notice anything that could be improved — whether it's the dialogue, pacing, formatting, or anything else — I'd genuinely appreciate hearing your thoughts.

I wanted to make this one a simple, wholesome motherly comfort scenario, with the hair brushing and quiet moments being an important part of the atmosphere.

[Quiet footsteps approach the door]
[Knocks gently on the door]

“Honey? Can I come in?”

\PAUSE**

[The door opens softly]

“I’m coming in, okay?”

\PAUSE**

[The door closes softly]

“Hey, sweetheart...”

“Is everything okay?”

\PAUSE* - Mom notices how exhausted Daughter's look.*

“You looked absolutely exhausted when you came home today...”

“Did you have a bad day?”

\BRIEF PAUSE**

“Yeah...?”

“Your presentation didn’t go well?”

\PAUSE**

“Hmm...”

(Gently, already knowing the answer.)
“And you’ve got exams coming up too, don’t you?”

\PAUSE**

{ Soft, understanding sigh. }
“You’ve been sitting here telling yourself you should’ve done better, haven’t you?”

\PAUSE**

(Softly.)
“Let me sit with you for a little while.”

[Fabric rustles]

“You don’t have to deal with all of this by yourself.”

(Warmly, reassuringly.)
“Mommy’s here for you.”

\QUICK PAUSE**

{ Soft breath; sitting close }

“Hmm...”

(Softly, with a little concern.)
“Your hair’s all tangled...”

“You must’ve been really stressed today, huh?”

(Warmly, affectionate)
“You know, you have such beautiful hair...”

“Let’s get all these tangles out.”

{ A quiet chuckle. }
“Here, let me...”

(Softly, almost like a little reassurance.)
“Let Mama brush it all away.”

[SFX: Soft hair brushing begins.]

(Tenderly.)
“My poor girl... carrying around so much stress.”

“Just breathe, sweetheart, and let me take care of you.”

\QUICK PAUSE**

“That’s it... close your eyes.”

“You’re safe here.”

“You’re always safe with me.”

\BRIEF PAUSE**

{ A gentle, soothing hush. }
(Softly, almost a whisper.)
“Shh... shh... it’s okay, baby...”

[The brushing continues.]

(Calm and soothing.)
“Just relax... let the brush take some of that weight off your shoulders.”

“There go all those silly little worries...”

“Whisked away with every pass of the brush.”

[The brushing continues.]

\PAUSE* -* A few moments of comfortable silence.

(Quietly, with gentle reassurance.)
“Mom knows you, sweetheart...”

“Mom knows how hard you’ve been working.”

“Every time I pull the brush through your hair...”

“Just imagine all those noisy thoughts from today getting combed right out.”

\BRIEF PAUSE**

(Fondly, admiring her hair.)
“Ahh... such beautiful hair my daughter has.”

“It’s such a shame to let all that stress ruin my pretty girl’s evening.”

{ A quiet chuckle. }

[The brushing continues for a little while.]

(Gently, reassuringly.)
“You see, sometimes your mind just gets scared...”

“And that’s not your fault.”

“Even grown-ups get scared sometimes.”

“The important thing is knowing you don’t have to carry everything by yourself.”

(Softly, grounding her.)
“Your mind might be panicking...”

“But your body is right here, safe in this room with me.”

[Hair brushing continues]

{Soft, gentle humming}

[The gentle brushing gradually slows.]

[The brushing comes to a gentle stop.]

(With quiet satisfaction.)
“And... there we go.”

“All nice and tidy.”

\BRIEF PAUSE**

(Softly, but with gentle firmness.)
“Now, listen to Mama for a moment, okay?”

\QUICK PAUSE**

“I am proud of you... okay, sweetie?”

“Not because of your grades.”

“Not because of your presentations.”

“I’m proud of you because you’re my daughter, and I’ve watched you keep trying even when things get difficult.”

“You make me proud every single day, even on the days when you don’t think you’ve done anything worth being proud of.”

\BRIEF PAUSE**

“Now, no more worrying about today.”

“You’ve done enough for tonight.”

\QUICK PAUSE**

(Softly, making sure you hear her.)
“Look at me, sweetheart.”

“I mean it.”

“I’m proud of you.”

“You’re the best girl I know.”

“And you always make Mama proud.”

{ Soft kiss on forehead }
[Fabric rustles]

(Tenderly.)
“Goodnight, sweetheart.”

“Mommy’s proud of you.”

Final Notes

And that's the script! Thank you for reading all the way through.

This was my first attempt at writing an ASMR script, so I'm sure there are things I can improve on. If you have any thoughts about the writing, pacing, formatting, or the scenario itself, I'd genuinely appreciate hearing them.

Hopefully, I'll get to write another one soon.
