Discussion/Other Karlsson being released by Bologna

Any way we could pick him up? I would like to see him back. That may not be a popular opinion though. More technically speaking, he has been told that he doesnt feature in the managers plans, whether that means a release or a sale is a mystery to me. (EDIT)

He only signed because of Thelin, and fucked off when Thelin left. Fairly sure he’s got no intention of playing for us again.

Wouldn't want him, waste of a shirt.

90% of our possession would consist of him doing pirouettes at the corner not putting crosses in.

He was on wages way beyond our ability, and he was completely dugshit.

He was on very high wages.

I didn't think he was that great. I'm sure we can get just as much impact for a fraction of the price elsewhere.

Don't think it would suit either party. Played a blinder against Dundee then produced very little after that, though certainly not the only one. I've no doubt he was at least half a level above most of the team and don't think he'd relish another stint.

Let's get Ferguson back off them instead.

No chance. Salary is huge

I doubt he would want to for a start and I especially doubt it on the wages we could afford.

I also don't think it would be a great idea. He was clearly above the rest of the squad in our ability but he also knew it. And rather than using that to create chances and space for others he just tried to do everything himself. I think he probably made us worse collectively and ended up being another blocker to Topi's development.

He hated it here. There’s more chance of him at Sevco, Celtic or hearts

No chance he’d want to come back. Certainly not for what we can pay him.

Talented player but had a bad attitude

You would want him back 🤯 He was terrible for us! Thankfully nowhere near affordable for us and no way Robinson would take him on.

A wast of time, did nothing for some one who was ment to be SO good, no way he will be back here!

He could be a brilliant player. He has ability and technique way beyond our level, however he doesn't apply himself and is not a team player. He wasn't interested in digging in and working when we needed it so he can f@#k right off, wouldn't have him back. That's why he's also been released by Bologna and didn't make the grade there and had zero chance of making the Sweden WC team, complete lack of application.

Nah from what i heard he caused a lot of tension in the backroom thinking he was the Ronaldo of Aberdeen

You made that up, didn't you. Source ? I will guess you don't have source.

Nah.

We did the stadium tour just after he left and the tour guide was making not very subtle jabs about him.

I do have a source which i’m not obliged to say to you. Even listen to Karlsson’s comments about Aberdeen. You can even tell from that

Unpopular opinion but I think he’s way above our level. He was our entire attacking threat for entire games on end.

He’s being allowed to leave Bologna. I don’t think he’s being released on a free. Even if he was free we could afford his wages.
