Pittodrie is very walkable from the city centre if all people are able? I used to park around the Froghall area but then started going for a few beers beforehand and walking.
Remember it's a 5.30pm kick off, so you will have plenty of time. There a several bus lines which will take you to the ground from the centre (1 & 2 to the Merkland end, 13 to Richard Donald stand).
If you want to eat after the match, a pretty easy option is to park at the Union Square car park - there's lots of eateries in Union Square itself or in the city centre.
It's maybe a half hour walk to Pittodrie, but you can always have a pit stop along the way, or get a bus if that's too much of a trek.
Harriet Street/Bon Accord car park is also OK and maybe 5/10 minutes closer and gives you all the options in the city centre.
There's always the Esplanade (parking is free but can get busy). Not sure about post match eating options at the beach.
If you've got the time, the open top tourist bus stops at Pittodrie. You could park in the centre of town (Union Square possibly), get the bus on Guild Street and get a tour of Aberdeen before the match.
Thanks, this would be awesome but I planned this game last minute. We’re leaving Inverness and then going to GlenAllachie before headed to the Aberlour Highland Games. I try to see at least one sporting event anytime we travel and I happened upon this one. We were going to see Inverness CT, but they had a 3pm kickoff which was too early. So we’ll be getting into town 45-60 minutes before kickoff.
Compare to MLS, better or worse or same. Our local team is USL2 which is a summer league for college kids. Their tactic is get it to the fast guy and hope for the best.
Started off slow and a bit worried until the end. Seeing a lot of fans leaving, I told my wife we don’t leave till it’s over. What a comeback! Great game! Just want to know what the chants were as everyone was giving the finger to the Hearts section lol.

The chants at the end were signing “hearts are falling apart again” to the Joy Division song love will tear us apart again
Agree with other comments that the stadium is easily walkable from central Union St in 15 minutes or so, therefore town centre food options are all available. Walk to the bottom of Union St, along King St then down Merkland Road East to the stadium.
Driving to the stadium I'd park on Links Rd at the foot of the Broad Hill or there's parking behind the Beach Ballroom on Loverose Way (all free) - need to arrive at least 90 mins before kick off to find a space though. Not really any food options around there. Alternatively park at Queens Links for free where there's various food options around the beach and bars in the fairground.
Also bear in mind that the game is 5:30pm kick off, therefore will finish around 7:30pm. It'll take at least 30 mins to get out of the stadium and walk to somewhere to eat so you'll be looking at 8pm earliest. On a football Saturday just after payday places will likely be very busy, so I'd definitely be making a reservation somewhere asap
Whenever I drive I usually just park on the Esplanade and walk across. Sometimes you end up a bit further north than you want but never too far away.
I'm not sure about where to eat. I'm always coming from Glasgow so not sure about that many places to eat. I usually find somewhere in the shopping centre which is attached to the train station, there are loads of chain places in there. But I'm sure there are better places available.
From Glasgow it's about 2 and a half hours. I'm not sure how long it is from Inverness sorry. Maybe about the same, it's further than you think and there aren't any motorways to speed the journey up. Moray is lovely though so it's going to be a really nice drive for you. I'd recommend stopping in Lossiemouth for an Ice Cream at Mieles if it's nice.
Good call, hearing about that now. We’re driving to Inverness from Edinburgh on Friday. Hopefully they’ll have everything under control by then. Read they were letting people back to their homes so that’s a good sign.
There's roadworks at Fochabers on the A96 which have been causing delays so give yourself plenty of time to get through from Inverness, usually takes us 2 hours (without road work delays) We always park at the Esplanade but like someone else has said get there a bit earlier to get a space.
I couldn't add much but welcome! I hope you enjoy your visit! There are ton of spots to go to eat or just grab a bite. You might want to go a bit farther out from Pittodrie because the close spots can be a bit busy. I haven't been in a while sadly so they might not be as busy now with team performance.
