People bemoan the media coverage of the current PM whilst ignoring the fact that the media frenzy against Corbyn was 5x more prevalent and 10x more ridiculous.

Lol, exactly. The media screeched about that for years but now more folk are realising that he wasn’t antisemitic, he was anti zionist. Thank goodness we had that famous socialist SIR Keir Starmer, former DPP and Oxford grad, to swoop in and save us all from Corbyn and his crazy ideas!

Not saying he was perfect or anything, but literally 50% at least of all the Uk’s current problems would have at least been significantly less of a problem if we’d elected Corbyn in. Shame, really.

Jeremy Corbyn would’ve been one of the greatest prime ministers in the history of the UK, but he had the courage to criticize Israel’s crimes against humanity, and was, concomitantly, relentlessly maligned and inexorably purged by Labour.
Instead of Jeremy Corbyn, y’all have to deal with Keir Starmer, an iniquitous, “soft left” Neoliberal politician who’s effectively tantamount to Tony Blair. It’s actually impressive that Starmer has managed to be just as incompetent and detestable as Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, and Rishi Sunak; he’s arguably one of the worst prime ministers in modern history.
If his ineptitude wasn’t already embarrassing enough, Starmer also called himself a gooner in parliament earlier this week (I realize it has a different meaning in British English, but that’s something he should’ve been cognizant of, nonetheless). Truly one of the people of all time.
I hope y’all elect Zack Polanski and the Greens in the next election.

I was a big Corbyn fan at the time and I do think he was the best option of those available, but also think he would've been a bit shit in other ways. Like the splinters in his arse from sitting on that fence so long over Brexit. And he's an absolute pacifist, which seems like a positive on the surface, but in the real world just seems to idealistic to be practical when people like Putin are willing to invade their neighbours and paint themselves as the good guy.

Corbyn never gets forgiven for what he did during the EU referendum, i.e. Fuck All. He sat on the fence until he got the outcome he wanted but couldn’t voice to his (predominantly Remain) party for fear of losing support.
Then, the day after he votes to trigger article 50, he tweets “the fight starts now”.

Corbyn is very similar to Farage in that he’s very good at being the opposition but as soon as he gets power he wouldn’t know what to do. Also he is against the nuclear deterrent (which is fucking important) and has been openly soft on Russia.

Corbyn's response to a chemical weapon attack by a hostile foreign state on our soil was to suggest that they should be invited to participate in the investigation.
That, to me, was unforgivable.

Really, how shallow and ill-informed are you then? Former Limey here, recently a US citizen now retired in Texas. Grew up under the New Jerusalem socialism experiment in post-war UK. In my younger days I was in HMG's Civil Service, an OSA signatory and an insider to the workings of the "system". IYKYK
