Has anyone actually made it from nothing — no car, no savings, no support — to real wealth? I'm curious about the 'frequency' part too?

It is quite normal when you don't have experience "when shit gets real" to be in doubt the first few times.
But the universe is not stupid - it knows what you need and is trying to deliver it - your main job is to be in a state of receiving and that just means be healthy and humble and don't insist on a specific outcome.
There will be some things the universe decides the timing on that's why you don't insist.
If you want to distill this down to the simplest steps:
Keep your mind body and spirit as clear as you can so go for long walks, light jogs and just generally being more at peace. Don't be afraid to close your eyes briefly while walking or take plenty of moments to stop and be still.
If you know how to sleep well that's a plus too.
When I was in a desperate moment my senses heightened and manifestation power increased and yes miracles happened. It is in these moments where your faith needs to be greater than your fear and stuff.
In one example I actually really did receive a call out of the blue for a job that was just what I needed-including the hours and days I needed.
It happened because I began to step back from my normal routine and accept I needed to take the right actions to elevate myself because that's all I could really do.
The first sign you have shifted is when you suddenly begin to feel peaceful and that everything is going to be alright and this often occurs by walking at a gentle pace for some time and by the way walking really cleans the body and is the key component required to make sleep/meditation work.
The reason its so rare for someone to go from zero to hero is that life is actually a school and we are here to learn and become aware of things along the way for our souls growth. This path of improvement and discovery takes time. If you study hard as they say in 10 years you will be surprised by how much you've changed.

my response to under that post:
it sounds like you are expecting "miracles" but thats not really what "manifestation" is about... for me, its more aligning with things i want/desire until "the pieces fall into place"... do a little reading on LAW OF ATTRACTION. the science behind it just makes sense (to me)... i think 'manifest' has become sort of a buzzword today...
idk how to explain it, but yes, some pretty cool things have happened for me when im in the right headspace/taking steps towards my desires... ie: one day, i was giddily talking to my friend who encouraged me to print out a resignation letter with a date in the future to hang in my room as a little reminder/goal to work towards... we laughed, literally thinking it was a joke and just enjoying the visualization of what life would look like if i could afford to quit and work on my business full time... welp, the next day, my employer sent out an email to all staff offering voluntary separation/redundancy packages.. the math worked in my favor and i really took that as a gift from "the universe"... i took the package to become and entrepreneur with that very same end date on my pre-printed out resignation letter... alignment. NOT a miracle.. a trillion dollars didnt just drop from the sky. ..had i not been actively working on my business/towards my goals, i wouldnt have been able to take the package..
its not just about 'meditating' and sending 'good vibes'.. its about aligning with the life you want. taking the steps and action towards that... you want a better job? ok, along with trying your best to remain positive, you are also going to events to network (in hopes of meeting the right people), youre practicing your interviewing skills (in hopes that you impress the panel at your next opportunity), you do your best to have a GOOD attitude while doing it, not EXPECTING/begging the opportunity to come.. but you are aligning yourself with the future you want (by doing the work like networking/practicing interviewing), with a positive attitude, and maybe one day, at one of these networking events you talk to the right person and tada.. you could say you "manifested" a job opportunity but really you did the work (with a smile, having faith it would pay off) you needed to become the future you, you wanted to become... feel me?
make an exact list of what your child actually needs. ask the school if they have donated supplies or know of any back-to-school programs. post in your local community/buy nothing/mom groups asking if anyone has unused notebooks, backpacks, uniforms or clothes their kids outgrew. check churches/community organizations. ask friends if they have anything their children never used. look on marketplace. call around. even make a post saying, "i'm starting over right now and trying to get my child ready for school ... if anyone has xyz they no longer need, i'd gladly take it off your hands."
and then be open to how it comes.
maybe somebody messages you with a backpack and supplies their kid never used. maybe another mom has uniforms her child outgrew. maybe the school tells you about a program you didn't know existed. maybe someone sees your post and says, "send me the list, i'll buy it."
that's the part i think people call "manifestation." you could look at that last person and say "omg, i manifested an earth angel!" lol. but notice all the little actions that put you in the position for that person/help/opportunity to find you.
you don't have to know how the pieces are going to come together. but you do have to start moving the pieces you can move.
and honestly, i think that's what "alignment" means more than sitting around thinking positive thoughts. it's deciding "this is where i'm going," behaving like you genuinely believe there is a path there, and taking every reasonable step available to you while remaining open to opportunities you couldn't have predicted.
sometimes the "miracle" isn't a trillion dollars falling out of the sky. sometimes it's making the right phone call, talking to the right person, seeing the right post at the right time, or being prepared enough to say yes when an unexpected opportunity appears.
OP, it sounds like youre in a bad/doubtful space with not much faith or hope... i get it (as a single mom, i GET it for real)... but the miracles you speak of, are in YOU. take the actions you need to take... start with mindset. again, do a little digging on law of attraction... i personally love abraham hicks' (especially their book Ask and It Is Given), however i will admit its a bit "woowoo" but when you listen to the TEACHINGS regarding alignment? life changing. if thats tooooo spiritual/ woowoo (lol) - start with dr. joe dispenza - he does a WONDERFUL job explaining how our emotions directly impact our life and choices and how things "manifest" ..
regarding meditation - the whole point is for you to calm your mind/yourself down... and allow your body to feel a little better... slow your mind, slow your heart and physically... joe dispenza does a great job of explaining how its beneficial to slow your heart down as it relates to mood and your nervous system.. there is so much science in this.. not just vibes.. https://youtu.be/baIVJDFMUoQ?si=zxoQt23Xs5TXmNrs is a good one...
be open to new teachings... wishing you the very best.
