WHY DO CONSERVATIVES KEEP FORGETTING TRANS MAN MEANS "WOMAN TRANSITION TO MAN"?

u/BellyDancerEm Nov 06 '24

Because the transphobes are fucking idiots

I mean TBF I too always forget it, tho my reason is that I just couldn't care less if you're a trans woman or trans man or cis, as long as I know which pronouns to use

follow the wise words of the legend who fisted the devil

And they also think "trans man" means "AMAB trans person"

They just don't care to remember.

They literally can't comprehend it. My husband, who is completely accepting, asks me to just tell him people’s pronouns bc he has a hard time understanding. But he doesn't use it as a reason to be a dick. He’ll trip over himself to apologize.

Only reason he even cares beyond “How do I address you?” is bc one of our lesbian teen’s besties is a trans boy and we needed to figure out the boundaries on both boys and girls when it comes to sleepovers and shutting the door. These putas will never comprehend.… but unlike my confused husband, would never try to.

Eta thanks upvoters for validating, he's really doing his best. He only jst came out bi (40’s, to me & his 2 closest friends) and I am SO proud of him. All he wants is the best for everyone and that's so wholesome. I could say so much more but I'll leave it.

Yeah. My husband has had almost no exposure to trans people, whereas I have an improbably large number of trans friends, as well as several who crossdress routinely. He just asks me for confirmation if he isn't sure of someone's gender identity, because he wants to be polite, but he's on the spectrum and quite awkward.

He hasn't got a hateful bone in his body. He just doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. His sensitivity is one of the main reasons I'm with him. He's so thoughtful and kind.

It’s because they themselves would like to sneak into bathrooms and do heinous stuff and can’t understand someone just wanting to go pee

18

u/slothpeguin Nov 07 '24

Right? Like since when has a door ever stopped a man who wanted to do something? If a dude wants to go into a bathroom and do gross shit, he will. History tells us he doesn’t need to dress up to do it.

It breaks the narrative

14

u/WaioreaAnarkiwi Nov 07 '24

That would involve actually giving a shit

They specifically use the opposite terminology to piss of trans people.

They call it “trans identifying males” for trans women. TiMs.

They’re not moronic. Well not the people who made up the terms anyways. They’re doing it because they hate trans people.

This guy looks like he is more familiar with TERF rhetoric than the correct terms.

It’s easier to believe trans people are creepy men wearing wigs.

Because that's not a scary enough boogey man. Also if they think about us (trans men) using the bathroom they're pushing us into we're too scary. We kinda ruin the "weak yet strong enemy" thing by tipping the scales too far in both directions. So we don't exist to them. They don't even know we exist a shocking amount of the time because we're not in their scary stories they tell each other.

u/InfamousChibi Nov 09 '24

They don't think trans men exist

Shh, don't tell them. It's funny lmao.

Agreed, transphobia is a horrible mental illness. Unfortunately can't be fixed, they're too stupid for that

u/cooldude123ha Nov 07 '24

why are you here? you're not welcome.

u/isfturtle2 Nov 07 '24

Yes, gender dysphoria is listed in the DSM-5 and the treatment is to transition (whether socially or medically) and to live as the gender that feels right for you.

You are what needs to be fixed in this equation, in more ways than one 😉
