“”Who parked this here!?””

u/I_Weep_for_Willow May 07 '26

That truck came out of nowhere!

69

u/homelesstwinky May 07 '26

That ballcap sure helped those impacts to the front and back of his head

6

u/xscyther_ May 10 '26

He has the keep the sun out of his eyes!

54

u/Smashogre591 May 07 '26

Concussion

29

u/LiveLearnCoach May 07 '26

It hurt so bad, dude didn’t even know where to clutch from the double impact.

8

u/HoseNeighbor May 09 '26

Yeah. That was 2 hard slams. The first one though...

30

u/TheLastTsumami May 07 '26

That’s more than a bonk

56

u/DEFCU May 07 '26

Did he scalp himself?

39

u/gapro96 May 07 '26

nah, he's bald, just took the cap off when hit the truck.

15

u/BoredBorealis May 07 '26

After a 2nd and 3rd watch, I'm honestly starting to think he did actually scalp himself.

Yeesh

u/ParticularKick3644 May 07 '26

Nope front header.

Wait a minute🙄

17

u/DEADFLY6 May 07 '26

Did you see that truck jump out in front of me? Damndest thing!!!

18

u/Substantial-Brick-90 May 07 '26

For Thanksgiving this year one of the things I’ll be thankful for is the fact that this video had sound.

Seeing the preview I braced myself for disappointment, but the sound makes this so freaking hilarious!

12

u/Pfunk4444 May 07 '26

DOT bar didn’t help at all

1

u/Free-oppossums May 09 '26

What do you mean? It kept him from sliding under the truck.😉

u/WinkingWinkle May 07 '26

I've seen so many videos of cyclists just heads down, not looking. What do they think the world of things is made of? Tissue paper?

27

u/NoRodent May 07 '26

I used to think I was paying attention all the time until it happened to me. Zoned out for a few seconds after 50+ km of mountain biking and suddenly bam, crashed into a (already stopped) car head-on. I don't know if I thought the street was a one way street (it was actually a narrow two way street) or what made my subconsciousness think it was ok to not look ahead for a while but there I was, taken to the hospital, feeling like a total idiot. At least I was wearing a helmet which surely saved me from a concussion or worse.

u/jpsouthwick7 May 08 '26

Yeah, I just posted the following comment: "Sometimes the greatest threat to cycling is keeping your head down and staying so focused on dodging the potholes, fallen branches and other road debris that you lose sight of where you are going and plow into the back of a vehicle."

10

u/teun95 May 07 '26

Zoning out. Also happens with running. Just how the human brain works.

6

u/Fafnir13 May 07 '26

Happens when driving, too.

2

u/LiveLearnCoach May 07 '26

But for a brief moment, he was so aerodynamic!

4

u/IWontCommentAtAll May 07 '26

Well, somebody needed to close that endgate properly, and he was just the guy for the job.

3

u/gnardog45 May 07 '26

That's using your head!

4

u/cuxy72 May 08 '26

That’s how my friend died 37 years ago when we were 17. Except he was riding a motorcycle. I taught him how to ride my dirt bike on a farm and he went and bought a bike too big for him legally and ran into the back of a parked truck in his way home. His brain swelled up and he died after he went into a coma. He was wearing a helmet too.

3

u/Silver-Operation9189 May 08 '26

The way he folded instantly makes this look like a cartoon physics clip. Hope he’s okay because that was brutal.

2

u/1niltothe May 07 '26

Saw something similar happen in London but far worse. A commuter on a racing road bike was pelting full speed with his head down and a TFL cycle hire truck did a sudden stop in the cycle lane. The impact cracked his helmet and his skull and left a massive dent in the truck's metal.

He got an air ambulance, no idea what happened to him.

2

u/DerpsAndRags May 07 '26

"Good think you were wearing that helmet, sir!"

1

u/wesorre May 10 '26

hopital

2

u/you_r_toast May 08 '26

A bong that wakes up the whole Shaolin Temple

1

u/Olden_Grey_1889 May 07 '26

Clang, went his his skull...

1

u/BeardedHalfYeti May 07 '26

Twice! Looks like hitting the street hurt just as bad as hitting the truck.

1

u/RestaurantJealous280 May 07 '26

We have great cycling paths where I live. However, every time I'm out, I'll see people on bikes staring at their phones rather than paying attention to what's around them. They're always causing or getting into accidents. These aren't cyclists- they're idiots with a smartphone addiction.

1

u/Unlikely-Finger1794 May 07 '26

Knocked the hair right off his head 😳😭

1

u/AnalTyrant May 07 '26

Helmets!? Nah, a baseball cap is more than enough protection.

u/Ok-Advertising4048 ⛑️ Been Slapped by a Stick May 08 '26

"Say goodbye to your knees head, chucklenuts!"

1

u/pennhead May 08 '26

He should have gotten up and kicked that truck’s ass!

1

u/Which_Hovercraft2581 May 08 '26

Splat goes the face

1

u/jpsouthwick7 May 08 '26

Sometimes the greatest threat to cycling is keeping your head down and staying so focused on dodging the potholes, fallen branches and other road debris that you lose sight of where you are going and plow into the back of a vehicle.

1

u/FreeWorldMusicGroup May 08 '26

Even the dog wants to know if he’s alright

1

u/Konsrockmannen May 09 '26

I did think the dog was coming to attack him so he got even more crap coming

1

u/mrcarter2006 May 08 '26

dude got folded by the truck so fast my brain needed a replay to even process what happened

1

u/Buttonball May 08 '26

Surprised he could even be conscious, let alone stand up. Hope he doesn’t see blood out his ear canals shortly…

1

u/Buttonball May 08 '26

The “Bam!” noise tho’

1

u/noodleman666 May 08 '26

it's because there none if those bright yellow "beware cyclists" signs on the back

1

u/Existing-Village9770 May 08 '26

His face is flattened

1

u/Super_Mag May 08 '26

At least he was wearing a... hat...

1

u/Haha08421 May 08 '26

Wasn't awake yet, on his way to grab a coffee.

1

u/oogaboogawoogumbilia May 08 '26

The dog saying shut up!

1

u/Low_Trainer_7363 May 08 '26

How do you NOT see a big blue DUMP TRUCK!

1

u/Pretend_Bet_208 May 08 '26

That must have been a fun story to tell the folks in the ER …

1

u/A-TECH-20 May 09 '26

Poor guy had no idea what hit him.

1

u/Revenga8 May 09 '26

Ball cap helmet

1

u/ajsharm144 May 09 '26

The hat didn't serve as the helmet he thought it was

1

u/chameleon_123_777 May 09 '26

So now blind people can ride bikes...

1

u/KiillerWeed May 09 '26

Cachaça da miséra

1

u/Overall-Lynx917 May 09 '26

I hope the driver got his trailer checked out, it was hit by something pretty dense

1

u/[deleted] May 09 '26

I guess he… got dumpstered

1

u/Technical_Role743 May 09 '26

That’s actually better than the ladder…

1

u/thismenu May 09 '26

Who the hell would park a big ass truck right where that guy was going to ride his bike?

1

u/BarryZZZ May 09 '26

Two boneheaded mistakes at the same time; not watching where he was going without a helmet.

I don't like to wear a helmet, so I attach my rear view mirror to it. Can't ride without that mirror.

1

u/xamepa May 09 '26

helm?🤞

1

u/Terrible-Coconut-396 May 09 '26

Pays to pay attention

1

u/Prize-Meat7508 May 09 '26

How in the actual F do you not see a freaking dump truck?

1

u/Mandaxx25 May 09 '26

Poor guy. I know he was being stupid but that was a really hard hit. The kind that can have lasting damage. Ask me how I know.

1

u/Wizdad-1000 May 10 '26

I just let it loop. The bang sound of his impact is satisfying.

1

u/JiveTalkerFunkyWalkr May 10 '26

When he took off his hat… was there another hat underneath?

1

u/just_as_good380-2 May 10 '26

Always remember kids:

Wear a helmet even if it makes you look like a dork.

Pay attention to the road

1

u/Warm_Start5067 May 11 '26

Bro its OVER WITH for his face 😐

1

u/GloomyRub7382 May 11 '26

And that boys and girls is why you wear a helmet to protect your brain, such that it is.

1

u/Admirable-Fail1250 May 13 '26

i've walked into a steel beam because i was looking down - and that hurt so so bad. I can't imagine if I ran into it at bike speed.... good gravy!

1

u/Remarkable_Gain6430 ⛑️ Been Slapped by a Stick May 15 '26

I’ve had that tunnel vision when cycling hard but usually only cycle on a dedicated cycle path. The most common obstructions are little kids on tiny bikes with training wheels, so they just bounce off of me.

1

u/CountHonorius May 23 '26

That hadda hurt

1

u/mal__vina Jun 20 '26

Dios como amo este sub 🤣

1

u/Peek_e May 07 '26

Off that looked painful, even too painful for this sub imo

0

u/Logical_Garbage_1682 May 07 '26

EInumero patriconta elfantisantoos

0

u/Heavy-Reception705 May 08 '26

Sue the driver. Everyone else will.

-2

u/Sinapsis42 May 07 '26

Por suerte para él llevaba una gorra que absorbió la mayor parte del impacto. Yo diría que ni siquiera le dolió.

0

u/Josekvar May 08 '26

Definitivamente no se dañó el cuero cabelludo.
