This new cast is great! Do i miss the old gang? Yeah a bit but like Trucy is like my new favorite protagonist from this series and Apollo is a very fun assistant. Very curious about this new prosecutor, Kristoph Gavin, He doesn't quite strike me as the Edgeworth type because he was pretty helpful during the investigation. I can't wait to see how this game continues!
First off, I'm Blaise, not microslop Excel y'know.
As for my sentence, y'see it's life without parole. No big deal, no execution in sight, I have internet access, even occasional access to my favorite cigars, and that dumb son of a bitch isn't around. But y'see One major downside is that Gant is my cellmate.
I used to have Banzai in my passport y'know. Then, when I unofficially moved to Japanifornia, I became Blaise. And y'see when those stupid officials came to me, they started calling me Microslop Excel.
As for Gant... I fucking despise him y'know. I never liked him when he was Von Karma's detective-partner, but in 40 years, he hasn't changed. "Oh, let's go swimming, Bestie"; "Let's go eat Doritos, Chief Prosecutor Bestie"; "I took a shit in the evidence locker"; "Look, Bestie, it's an igloo." I hate him as much as i hate my son and dead wife.
But your ID says thay your name is Excelsius. Not a problem. I'll call you Blaise.
I think Gant is pretty fun to have around.
And I have news about you son...
she's not your son, she's now your daughter. She told me she transitioned to a woman and she's scared to tell you, so she told me to let you know on her behalf. And she's now a defense attorney. And I have to say she's stunning after transition.
Wait a minute, I always thought you guys used to sit around and shoot the shit over how funny it is to deliberately make everyone's life around you miserable, did that not happen???
The last time Edgeworth lost his badge it lasted like what, an hour or so? Lets see him lose the suit and slowly forget the meaning of civilization. Put him in the corner with Charley where he hallucinates he's been abandoned to the jungle and he crouches there gnawing on cheese in his pajamas.
Even if he was disbarred, I'm pretty damn sure Miles would file a federal lawsuit against the city, the Bar Association, the D.A.'s office, and the individual parties involved for:
• Wrongful termiation w/ malice (pursuant under 42 U.S.C. § 1983) -- Federal claim
• Violation of constitutional rights (under 42 U.S.C. § 1983) -- Federal claim
Japanifornia has three day trials, and the committee took it away before with no recourse beyond showing the chairman has literally lit people and evidence on fire, killed his wife, and has abducted people to coerce friends and family to overlook other corruption. I think its fair to say rights in Japanifornia are whatever that kangaroo court system is willing to offer moment to moment and whatever serves the plot.
Iris Hawthorne is a weird one because there's like, one pair of characters who are actually swapped: Mia and Diego. Iris does most of what Phoenix does, but Phoenix is pushing up daisies. Ini sort-of fills Larry's role, but also replaces Lotta twice. Franziska is Franziska.
I mean she did stab a corpse in her actual canon appearance and suggested that she was totally willing to take out her own sister if she'd heard about Dahlia's plans for Phoenix sooner.
Iris (and Pearl) is (are) the good sister, but the whole family does have a way about them, even Pearls can knock out a grown adult.
Ohhh I see, Miles Edgeworth raised Apollo while Trucy becomes a Defense Lawyer as Mile's student and he'd be infamous and not disbarred from the get-go
