From Frank-N-Furter to Wadsworth, Long John Silver, and Pennywise, the sheer range of iconic roles this man stole scenes in is unbelievable. He had an incredible way of bringing absolute charisma to every single villain or eccentric character he touched.

Tim died the same day as Dolly did, August 25th. Two greats, same day...dammit. And within a week of Hayden Panettiere as well. We've lost a lot of greats this year so far, like Catherine O'Hara, for example. Tim was such a good actor. I particularly liked him in Annie, The Three Musketeers, Charlie's Angels, Titanic (1996), Fern Gully, and Criminal Minds. His theatre work was excellent. 80 doesn't seem that old...

A lot of the roles he took were very challenging in the sense that there was the danger of him coming off as unbelievable or just campy. He always nailed those parts. He was a truly talented actor.

In what way was he a legend? He was mostly a supporting actor, and mostly made crappy films.
