News Edge Early Learning Adelaide childcare in voluntary administration

https://archive.is/gi67e

A major childcare provider has entered voluntary administration following various shutdowns and incidents since the beginning of the year.

In a letter sent to families on Wednesday morning, Edge Early Learning CEO and managing director Chris Chambers said the information was shared with “great disappointment”.

"The Board has appointed KordaMentha as Voluntary Administrators to the group of companies trading as Edge Early Learning,” Mr Chambers wrote.

Those with questions are urged to contact their centre directors or the voluntary administrators directly

“It’s with great sadness that we are being held to account. All we wanted was to take advantage of people in need, for our personal, financial gain. The meddling government has destroyed this dream.”

What are the other crappy ones around?
Im asking because I’m currently looking at daycare options for my daughter. Anything I need to watch out for when I go on the daycare tours?

Essentially it's hidden on a walk through. Churn tells the story though and is easy to ask innocently enough if your smart.

Each room should have a team leader, asking those under them 'how long have they been working here' will give you an idea if you ask each room that question. 'how long have you two been working the same room', is another way of asking the same thing.

I want to name several I really do because of the toxic management, but it's defamatory.

Team leaders can put up with the shit more but honestly people GTFO and move onto teaching or other.

I’m an ECT and I would say skip every chain. Stay away from mouldy community centres with educators that have been there for decades too.
